For the young players that is a formative experience, which helps them tremendously in their development as athletes. The kids of today are the champions but also the instructors and the promoters of Taekwondo of tomorrow. Therefore WTE makes a special effort to support these children our future.

The children 6 years and younger and 7-8 years in category A as well all age classes in category B do not qualify for European championships, but are welcome to take part in the European President s Cup for Children to gain important experience. One athlete cannot participate in more than one (1) weight category or age division or in Kyorugi AND Poomsae. Regarding Poomsae-Contests only: Contestants may compete in maximum four (4) categories (Recognized Poomsae max. 2 & Freestyle Poomsae max 2) of competition unless he or she is limited by gender or age. All competitors must prove their age by presenting their passport or identification card at the official weigh-in/registration. A written consent must be submitted (please find enclosed on the last page) at the registration, signed by parents or legal guardians, accepting their participation and all parts of the official invitation. By participating in the European President s Cup for Children all participants agree that their picture may appear in photos from the tournament or that their name may appear in media reports which are published during or after the championships.

Protector & Scoring System: At the European President s Cup for children DAEDO is being used as PSS(GEN2). The Organizing Committee will provide DAEDO trunk protector and DAEDO E- headgear. 11 FAMILY-POOMSAE EVENT Participants: Children who start with mother, father or both. Modus: All Participants do Taeguk-Il-Jang (Taegeuk 1). Entitled to participate are: Child + Mother, Child + Father, all of them wearing Doboks! Competition Classes: Category A: Child and/or mother/father have 4 th Kup or higher. Technique will count 70 %, presentation/harmony between children and parents 30 % Category B: Child and/or mother/father have 5 th Kup or lower. Technique will count 30 %, presentation/harmony between children and parents 70 % In the Family Poomsae event the participant with the lower belt decides the Category. Four teams will start in a group, among which the first, second and the two third places will be decided. There will be several groups and several winners per category! Categories will not be divided between Boys and Girls. An experienced referee will evaluate the teams. Age categories are determined according to the age of the children: 8 years and younger (born 2010, 2011 and later) 9-11 years (born 2007, 2008, 2009) years (cadets) (born 2004,2005,2006) Participants can choose the day on which they start (February 3 or 4). If your child also does regular poomsae or kyorugi, pleas choose the other day for family poomsae. The starting time will be announced at the tournament. 13 Admission for spectators: Adults: 1 day - 10 Euro Minors: 1 day - 5 Euro Discount for subscribers of the magazine Taekwondo Aktuell: Subscribers receive either a 10 Euro discount on the starting fee (for one subscription 10 Euro once not for the whole club!) OR free admission to the venue. To get a discount / free admission please send us an with your subscription number and name to info@taekwondo-aktuell.de by January 27. Otherwise there is no reduction possible.
