1 CIAAA National Conference Regina April 19-21, 2018 The CIAAA, in partnership with SIAAA and SHSAA, and with thanks to our major conference sponsor Sportfactor, is excited to announce our 3rd Annual National Athletic Directors Conference, running April 19-21, 2018 at the Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina, Saskatchewan. The CIAAA National Athletic Directors Conference offers a mixture of content, networking, and social opportunities combining for a dynamic, customizable, Athletic- Director centered professional development experience. The conference will feature 10 Leadership Training Program courses (including the launch of a brand new course), 17 exciting workshop topics to choose from, a conference banquet/keynote address, vendor trade show and an offsite social. The pricing model for the conference has changed to include all meals throughout the conference and the cost of one Leadership Training Program course. We are also offering member discounts for anyone taking three or four LTP courses. Be sure to check out the CIAAA s Certification Program as well as our partnership with Grace College to learn how your LTP courses can be used to earn professional designations and even an MSc in Athletic Administration. 4 BIDS TO HOST A number of championships for the school year were declared OPEN at the Presidents meeting. The Executive Council has requested that bids to host for these championships be submitted to the SHSAA office by April 11, The championships that have been declared open are 1A Boys Soccer, 3A Boys Soccer, 2A Girls Volleyball and all 5A Regional Volleyball. YOUTH OFFICIALS CONFERENCE June 8-9, 2018 The SHSAA is proud to offer Youth Officials Conference 2018! The conference will provide an opportunity to high school students to explore their interests in officiating and to develop officiating skills. It is a multi-sport conference that will offer philosophy and technical sessions relating to the SHSAA sanctioned sports (this year s focus is on officiating Football, Soccer, Volleyball, and Basketball). The conference will be held on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10, 2018 at Miller Comprehensive High School in Regina. Information can be found at: Registrations should be sent to your district. COACHES SYMPOSIUM August 21-22, 2018 The SHSAA Coaches Symposium will be held Tuesday, August 21 & Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Aden Bowman in Saskatoon. The Symposium is an excellent opportunity for coaches of different activities to gather in one location to participate in a professional development opportunity that will enhance the extra-curricular experience of the student athletes around the province.
