If the person can not move then please send someone up to Wenzel Lodge to get the medical staff. Severe Weather- Staff will gather up everyone at their station and take them to the closest shelter. If there is any type of situation listen to the staff for directions.
7 6 Shooting Events Archery- Scouts will shoot arrows with a bow at a target and see who can get the highest score. Whatever target has the highest score, the scout(s) at that target will be given one piece of candy each. Paintball Ball- Scouts will shoot paint balls out of a paintball tracer. The scouts will shoot at a variety of different targets. Airsoft- Scouts will shoot airsoft pellets out of a variety of guns. The scouts will shoot at a variety of different targets. *Before every group a safety briefing will be held. A patrol can only go to the shooting events once. No scout is to go past the ropes without the permission of the range safety officer or range safety instructor. No scout is to go down range without the permission of the range safety officer or range safety instructor. No scout is to aim the gun, bow, or tracer anywhere but down range. Activities *Slip and Slide kickball- Scouts will play kickball. The difference is that the bases are kiddie pools, and to get to the base you run across a wet tarp. Staff has the final say on rule interpretations. Kickball- Scouts will play kickball. If you are hit in the head you are safe unless you moved your head to block the ball. If the ball is caught you are out. If you are tagged by the ball you are out. Staff has the final say on rule interpretations. Quidditch- Two patrols will face each other in a game of quidditch. The goal of the game is to get the ball through the hoops on the opposites side. Polo- Two patrols will face off in a game of polo. They will ride horses (not real horses) and have polo sticks. The goal of the game is to get the ball through the other team s goal. You won t be allowed to raise the mallet above your knee. Water Sliding- A group of scouts will all be given one water tube each. The way the game is played is that the contestants run up to the tarp and slide as far as they can and whoever gets the farthest wins.
8 7 Life Size Pool- Scouts will play pool with kickballs. Same rules as normal, knock the balls into the holes except for the black number 8 ball. After all balls have been knocked, one person has to hit the 8 ball with the q-ball. When this happens the game ends. If someone knocks the 8-ball into a hole before all the other balls have been knocked into the holes that person loses. You can only kick the ball with the side of your foot. You can however use the front of your foot to jump the ball. You cannot kick the ball excessively hard. Twister- Same rules as actual Twister only the dots aren t are all in a line and can be moved by the bystanders. You can only move the dots within the area allowed. You can not move a dot someone is touching or about to touch Rock climbing- Scouts will be able to climb on real rocks as high as they can go or until they reach the top. To do this you must listen to the safety briefing before you climb. You must follow the directions of the Course Instructors at all times. We are working on having transportation to and from the climbing area, however patrols may need to find alternate transportation. Dodgeball- Two teams will face off in a game of dodgeball. Basic rules if you get hit then you are out, unless it is your head that gets hit then the other person is out. If you catch the ball whoever threw the ball is out, and the teammate who has been out the longest gets back in and the person who threw the ball is out. The staffer is allowed to call a jailbreak, which means that anyone who is out is allowed back in. You are not allowed to block the ball with your head on purpose if that happens you are out. Knife Throwing- Scouts will throw knives and try to pop balloons that are on a hay bale. Scouts are not the throw the knives in any direction other than the hay bale. Scouts are also not to go past the throwing line without permission. Slacklining- Scouts will attempt to walk across a slackline that is between two trees. The slackline will only be about a foot or two off the ground with a spotter on each side. If there is a location **Trail Biking- Scouts will have the opportunity to ride trail bikes on a path. Helmets are required and scouts will need to provide their own bicycles.
