2 Golspie Evening Crit Race 24 June 2015!!! Sign on will open at 5:15 and closes 20mins before the respective race start times. Check start times on this programme and at sign on. Don t forget your race licence! If you have no race licence then a day licence needs to be bought at sign on. East Sutherland Wheelers will cover the cost for day licenses for youth riders from the Sutherland area. Category Entry Fee (on the day) Day licence requirements Day Licence cost Youth 8! 3 Rules All races will be run under the current rules of Scottish Cycling Union (SCU). Gear restrictions will apply to all riders in Youth A and B races. Bikes must be presented to the Race Commissaire for checking before sign on. Please note that it is the riders responsibility to ensure that their gearing complies with the current rules of Scottish Cycling. The Race Commissaire will not adjust / block-off gears on behalf of the riders. Youth C, D and E are allowed to race on any freewheel bike for use on the road (inc Mountain Bikes). For all other races a road race bike is required. For more information on age categories and gear restrictions. Race Service (not applicable for U8-U10-U12) Riders are allowed to put their own set of spare wheels in the pits. Could we kindly ask all riders to provide a front wheel (even numbers) and a rear wheel (odd numbers) for neutral service for all riders In a circuit race held on any circuit of less than 2 km a rider who punctures, crashes, or suffers the breakage of an essential component will be permitted, except within the last five laps, to rejoin the race, after omitting one lap, in the same position as when the incident occurred, with the approval of the Chief Commissaire. Riders so affected must continue along the course in the direction of the race and report to the pits for service. Following their reinstatement, riders will be considered not to be a lap in arrears and they may contest the race finish. Riders shall be permitted only one lap out per race unless otherwise allowed by the Chief Commissaire. Discretion is given to the Chief Commissaire to allow further laps out in the case of events where the majority of riders may otherwise be withdrawn. In extreme weather conditions affecting the race surface, the Chief Commissaire has the discretion to extend this facility to circuits from 2 to 3 km in length.
