1 Results compiled by Bob Ozanne. English Dirt Track League 1929 Acknowledgments I should like to thank the following for their encouragement and practical help with my Speedway Pre-War research. Very much appreciated. Bob. Roger Beaman, Nigel Bird, Brian Collins, Keith Green, Jim Henry, Matt Jackson, Peter Jackson, Alan Jones, John Somerville, Mike Terran and Allen Trump. About the files. Reports including race results were very rare for this league. Some reports give no more than the match score. I have provided as much detail as is available. I hope the team line ups and facts about heat winners are informative. Riders scores are in here when I could find them. This league saw the early careers of many pre-war top liners, some continuing into the 1940's. if anyone can add to this record please contact the website. We will be delighted to hear from you.
