1 Angus enthusiasts led 343 entries at the 2005/2006 National Angus Show and super-point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show at the 100th National Western Stock Show (NWSS), Jan. 11 and 13 in Denver, Colo. Judge Brad McCurry, Mount Hope, Kan., evaluated 273 females, 66 bulls and four cow-calf pairs to select the champions. QLC LaGrand Forum claimed the grand champion bull title after first topping the senior division. Fluharty Farms LLC, Gause, Texas; LaGrand Angus & Hereford Ranch, Freeman, S.D.; and Quirk Land & Cattle Co., Hastings, Neb., own the March 2003 son of G13 Structure. Dameron Angus Farm, Lexington, Ill., and R&W, Heyworth, Ill., showed the reserve grand champion bull.
