3 GENERAL COMPETITION RULES 1. Disclaimer of Liability Canadian Sport Compact Series (CSCS) assumes no liability expressed or implied for the safety of any vendor, participant, spectator, or any other persons at a CSCS sanctioned or sponsored event. By entering any CSCS event, the participant, spectator, or vendor voluntarily assumes risk of bodily injury or death and also waives any claims for such losses against CSCS and/or its staff, the track and/or its staff, and the sponsors. The sole purpose of this CSCS rule book is to place vehicles in the appropriate competition class and as a guide of conduct. By participating in any CSCS event, participants are deemed to have read and complied with all rules and regulations pertaining to this rule book and any additional supplementary rules. Supplementary rules and regulations may be released by newsletter, bulletin, or pre-event meeting. 2. Entry Requirements In order to compete in a CSCS event, entrants must submit an approved official entry form and payment. Official entry forms and methods of payment are available on the CSCS website: Pre-Registration will close one week prior to the event at which time entrants are free to register at the day of the event by the CSCS main stage. Please ensure entry forms are completely filled out. 3. Competitor Obligations, Agreements and Releases Each competitor, by entering a CSCS event, grants CSCS and its authorized agents permission to utilize their name, car information, audio records, pictures, videos and other media material for any advertising, promotions, broadcasting, or reporting before, during and after such event. CSCS may approve or disapprove the content, placement and size of any advertising, decal or sponsorship identification for any reason. 4. All vehicles will be classed. If there are more than 10 cars in a class we will open sub classes. For example Best Honda will be split into Best Civic, Best Prelude, Best S2000 and so forth. If classes are still over 10 vehicles we will then split the cars into generations and/or by the type of car (sedan, coupe, hatch) All judging and classes will be determined by Canadian Sport Compact Series (CSCS) officials. CSCS holds the right to open or close a class at anytime without notification. All classes listed above are subject to a four car minimum field. 4

Points Breakdown Overall Awards - Best of Show (Only count towards Car of the year) 1st place - 20 points 2nd place - 15 points 3rd place - 10 points Specialty Awards (Only count towards Car of the year) 1st place - 10 points Runner up - 5 points Vehicle Competition (Count towards Car of the year and vehicle class) 1st place - 10 points Runner up - 5 points All Participants (Count towards Car of the year and vehicle class) 5 points per event Largest Club 10 points per entry Tie Breakers For All Classes 1) Most wins 2) Most runner-ups 3) Most events attended 7. National Championship / Car of the year Award Competitors will earn points throughout the season towards the CSCS National Championship. The national championship awards are allocated to the overall best, ie: Best Honda. These awards are calculated by adding up the totals throughout the year in each class. Maximum points per class per event is 15. All competitors are also automatically included into the running for the prestigious Car of the Year award which competitors can earn a maximum of 45 points per event. Each competitor can only win a maximum of 1 trophy per category per event. 5

6 Championship points are updated at and are awarded at the Season Opener of the following year. The coveted Car of the Year winner will receive his award and the Car of the year cup with their name permanently engraved onto the cup. The trophy is entrusted to the winner for the duration of the year, but does not belong to the winner and must be returned prior to the start of the following year. 8. Trophies and Award Ceremonies Trophies and prizes will be handed out following each individual event. The Award Ceremony occurs at the CSCS Main Stage at the end of the event day. Awards are based on the following for each class: 1st place - Trophy Runner up - Medal Gift packs, cash awards and other prizes are dependent on event sponsors and vary for each event. Please note that trophies are handed out at the event day and cannot be picked up at a later date, following event nor will they be mailed out. To receive your trophy you or a friend must stay back and pick up the trophy during the awards ceremony. 9. Decision Policy and Protest Procedures All decisions will be left to the discretion of CSCS officials. Once a decision is made, it is final. CSCS has the right to change any rules without notice at anytime as they see fit. CSCS and event officials have the power to remove any person from competition and from the grounds if he/she sees fit. Should circumstances arise that someone feels that one of his/her competitors has a competitive advantage that is in violation of the CSCS Rule book he/she may file an official protest. All protests must be in writing and given to the CSCS Technical Director. 10. Professionalism Participants at events are expected, at all times, to conduct themselves in a professional and non-disruptivemanner consistent with good sportsmanship. Any participant who, in the sole and absolute judgment of CSCS:verbally or physically threatens another person; uses vulgar or derogatory language; engages inunsportsmanlike conduct; engages in conduct detrimental to the sport; otherwise creates a condition or circumstance that is unsafe, unfair, or out of order; or otherwise violates any CSCS rule, regulation or agreement, shall be in violation of this rule and are subject to disqualification, removal of CSCS National Championship Points and may be subject to certain terms/conditions before that participant is allowed to return to competition 11. Rainout Policy CSCS Show and Shine is rain or shine. Refunds are not administered in the event of rain. CSCS has the right to change or modify these rules at any time. 6
