The Sonics have won three straight games and have scored better than 114 points in each of those three games they held off the Grizzlies, , on Tuesday night in their only action since All-Star Break.

3 SEASON NOTES: The Hornets have won 10 of their last 14 games, including winning 10 of the last 11 at home. The Hornets have allowed opponents to shoot over 50 percent from the field in seven games this season, while holding 13 opponents to under 40 percent shooting from the field. Tyson Chandler came down with 20 rebounds (13 DR) 2/20 at CHA. The Hornets shot a season-high 58 percent from the field in the win over SAC on 2/14. Linton Johnson had a season-high 12 points on 5-6 FGs on 2/14. Tyson Chandler set his career-high and tied a franchise-high with 23 rebounds (also set by Larry Johnson on 3/10/92). The Hornets dished out a season-high 26 assists and shot a then-season-best 55.8% from the field in the 2/10 win over MEM. Over the last eight games, the Hornets are averaging 53.8 points in the paint the Hornets had a season-high 66 points in the paint (Nuggets had 58) in the road OT win at DEN on 2/7. 4 WORM-LIKE NUMBERS: Tyson Chandler is pulling down rebounds like the former rebounding master Dennis Rodman in fact, Chandler s numbers in the past six games are just plain ridiculous over the last six, Chandler is averaging 13.2 points on 61.0 percent shooting (36-59 FG) and pulling down 18.0 rebounds (6.2 offensive)! HIGH SCORING TEAM? The Hornets are the lowest scoring team in the NBA at 92.7 points per game however, over the last seven games, they have proved that wrong in fact, they have scored 100+ in each of the last seven and are averaging points per game. WEST PRODUCING: Starting power forward David West is powering over the competition lately over the last six games, West is averaging 21.5 points on 53 percent shooting (50-95 FG), 10.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 35 minutes of play. THAT S MR. COWBOY TO YOU: Desmond Mason has been on a tear in the last eight games, leading the Hornets in scoring in four of the past eight games in addition to sinking the game winner as time expired 2/7 at DEN, the former Oklahoma State Cowboy is averaging 18.5 points on 55 percent shooting ( FG), 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 35.4 minutes of play over the last eight PRE-ALL-STAR REPEAT: As you may remember, the Hornets were red hot when the 2006 NBA All-Star break occurred last season they had won 9 of 10 games and were sitting in the 6 th spot in the Western Conference before the All-Star break this season, the Bees won nine of their last 12 games POST-ALL STAR: As noted above, the Hornets were on a high going into the All-Star break last year however, after the break they went on a free-fall, going 3-13 in their first 16 games back the Bees are 1-1 after this year s break. 5 LOOKING AHEAD: The Hornets are tied with the Golden State Warriors for the 8 th seed of the playoffs and their upcoming schedule should help them get even closer two of the next three Hornets games are against opponents with a sub-.500 record, CLE is the only above.500 team. ROAD WARRIORS: The Hornets will need to have their suitcases ready when March rolls around six of the Hornets first eight games are on the road overall, eight of their 14 games in the month are road games. DEVIN S DOMINANCE: Devin Brown has gone from a free-agent contract with the Hornets to the starting shooting guard along the way he has produced some quality numbers, especially over the last 16 games he is averaging 13.3 points on 46 percent shooting (72-156) and 4.4 rebounds in the past 16. PARGO TIME: Jannero Pargo is a spark plug for the offense off the bench however, as of late he has been struggling with his offense over the last eight games, Pargo is averaging 5.7 points on 42 percent shooting (19-45 FG) in 13.2 minutes. CHANDLER=CONSISTENT: Tyson Chandler s points and rebounds have been very consistent as of late not only has TC racked up 17 double-doubles in the past 23 games, but he has also scored 10+ points in 18 of those 23 and snatched 10+ rebounds in 23 of the previous 25 games. % OF POINTS: A couple of stats the average fan may not pay too much attention to are second-chance points and points in the paint the Hornets excel in both of these categories, averaging 14.3 second-chance points and 40.3 points in the paint in regard to percentage of total points, the Hornets are 2 nd in the NBA in second-chance points (trail CLE) and 6 th in the league in points in the paint. WINS VS. LOSS: The Hornets have won 10 of their last 14 games the below chart shows the Hornets numbers during their 10 wins compared to their four losses over the last 14 games. THE BUTLER DID IT: Rasual Butler has struggled from the floor lately, hitting just 29 percent from the field (33-110FG) over the last 14 games in those 14 games he has scored 10+ points in just three of the 14 in the previous 20 games, Butler hit for 10+ points in 17 of the 20 games. WHAT CAN BROWN DO FOR YOU?: Devin Brown is on pace for his best season, statistics-wise, as an NBA player before this season, his career-highs for points were 7.5 ( 05-06), rebounds were 2.6 ( and 05-06), assists were 1.4 ( 04-05) and starts were 14 ( 05-06) Brown is outdoing his career-highs in each of the categories this season, with averages of 12.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 22 starts. MISSING BEE: The Hornets are playing without their second-leading scorer, Peja Stojakovic to fully understand his importance, see the below chart the Hornets are missing 18 points and four rebounds from their line-up.
