Without further adieu, here s a run down of what happened last week in the world of CFB. Week 11 Trends Favorites-Dogs Straight Up ATS Home-Away Straight Up ATS Totals (O/U) Over-Under Largest Favorites to Cover: Utah St (-31) vs San Jose St, Stanford (-24) vs Oregon St, Alabama (-22) vs Mississippi St, 24-0 Syracuse (-20.5) vs Louisville, Appalachian St (-19.5) at Texas St, 38-7 Biggest Money line Upsets: UNLV won at San Diego St, Wake Forest +800 won at NC State, Old Dominion +450 won vs North Texas, Northwestern +350 won at Iowa, Minnesota +300 won vs Purdue, ATS Notables UNLV led by RB Lexington Thomas pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season so far winning at San Diego St last Saturday. The Rebels were 24-point underdogs and were as high as on the money line. Utah St and Washington St are both 9-1 ATS this season while UAB, Buffalo and Fresno St are 8-2 ATS. On the other side, Louisville is 1-9 ATS this year (another reason they fired head coach Bobby Petrino on Sunday) while Wisconsin, Washington, TCU and New Mexico St are all 2-8 ATS. Utah St and Oklahoma have seen the OVER go in their games this year. The OVER is 8-2 in New Mexico games and 7-2 in North Carolina games. Meanwhile the UNDER is now 10-0 in North Texas games and 8-1 in Mississippi St games. Misleading Finals While the final score of Virginia was close to the 24-point line in the Liberty/ Virginia game, the stats were pretty close. UVA only had a yard edge. Liberty had 3 TO s that set up UVA for 14 points. The also Flames missed a FG and also allowed a 90-yard kick return TD. While Iowa St beat Baylor 28-14, do note that Baylor had first down and yard edges. Baylor missed two short FG s and were also stopped on downs at the Iowa St 12-yard and 15-yard lines on their final two possessions. Indiana beat Maryland which was right near the spread. However, Maryland had first down and yard edges including on the ground. The Terps had 4 TO s that led to 17 points for the Hoosiers. Maryland trailed in the middle of the 3Q but rallied to take a lead with under 5 minutes left. Cal upset USC but USC had first down and yard edges. USC led 14-0 late 2Q and were going in for another score but fumbled in the Cal red zone. The Bears outscored the Trojans 15-0 in the second half and snapped a 14- game losing streak to USC. Major Injuries Akron QB Kato Nelson (leg) is? for this week s game vs Bowling Green. Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa (quad) has been upgraded to probable for this week s game vs The Citadel. Iowa St RB David Montgomery (suspension) is out for the first half of this week s game vs Texas. Maryland QB Kasim Hill (leg) is out indefinitely. Tyrell Pigrome will most likely be the starter for this week s game vs Ohio St. Notre Dame QB Ian Book (ribs) missed last week s game vs Florida St but is probable for this week s game vs Syracuse. South Alabama QB Evan Orth (shoulder) is? for this week s game vs UL-Lafayette. South Florida QB Blake Barnett (shoulder) missed last week s game vs Cincinnati and is questionable for this week s game vs Temple. Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman (lung) is doubtful for this week s game vs Kansas St. UAB QB AJ Erdely (shoulder) has missed the last couple of games and is questionable for this week s game at Texas A&M. UNLV QB Armani Rogers (foot) is questionable for this week s game vs Hawaii. Utah RB Zack Moss (ankle) got hurt in practice last week and is out for the season. Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook (concussion) missed last week s game vs Penn St and is doubtful for this week s game at Purdue. Bad Beats It s funny how the gambling gods work. Last week, if you bet Texas A&M, you were dealt a tough beat as they allowed a couple of late TD s to Auburn and failed to cover the closing line by a 0.5-point. This week, A&M was a 13.5-point favorite over Ole Miss but the game was tied at entering the 4Q. A&M outscored the Rebels 17-3 in the 4Q and the only time all game, A&M was covering came after a 46-yard TD run with under 2 minutes left. Ole Miss got down to the A&M 22-yard line late in the game but were stopped on downs and A&M got the 0.5-point cover. LSU was a 13.5-point favorite at Arkansas. The Tigers led 24-3 entering the 4Q but Arkansas got a couple of TD s to make it However, LSU was driving late for the front door cover but their RB Nick Brossette fell down not once, but twice going in for a TD so the Tigers could run out the clock. Recapping Last Week s Best Bets Last week we had another awesome week going 7-1! That means we have been at least 4-4 on our best bets every single week for the last 10 weeks! In the colleges, we swept the board going 5-0! Northern Illinois started the week with a dominant win over Toledo last Wednesday. On Saturday, we got another couple of easy winners with Pittsburgh blowing Virginia Tech and Tennessee winning outright over Kentucky. Meanwhile Texas nearly blew a 17-point lead while Liberty covered all 60 minutes vs Virginia. In the NFL we went 2-1 but our 3H on Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football went down. Buffalo won outright in blowout fashion and the Seahawks covered nearly the entire game but it did get interesting late in the fourth quarter. 3 4H = BEST 3H = BETTER 2H = GOOD 1H = FAIR THE POWERS PACK 3H MINNESOTA +2 over Northwestern 3H Syracuse over Notre Dame 2H NEBRASKA +2.5 over Michigan St 2H OREGON -3.5 over Arizona St 2H OVER 59.5 Cincinnati/CENTRAL FLORIDA Iowa 37 ILLINOIS 21. The Hawkeyes come in reeling off 3 straight losses. Last week, they fell at home to Northwestern as 10-point home favorites. The game was pretty even. Iowa had a yard edge but Northwestern had a rush yard edge. Meanwhile, Illinois fell at Nebraska. The Illini had a first down edge but Nebraska had a yard edge. Illinois had 5 TO s and The Cornhuskers converted four of the Illini s five turnovers into 24 points. Illinois QB AJ Bush ran for 187 yards and 3 TD s. Iowa is on a 17-0 SU/ ATS run as a road favorite but this line is a little steep for us. PURDUE 27 Wisconsin 24. Last week Wisconsin couldn t overcome 4 TO s (-2). Wisconsin QB Jack Coan was just 9 of 20 for 60 yards and 2 INT s but RB Taylor had 185 rushing yards. Meanwhile, The Gophers shockingly dominated Purdue with first down and yard edges including on the ground. Purdue got most of their yards (122) on their final 2 drives of the game. Slight lean on the visitors here as Wisconsin is on a 12-0 SU/9-3 ATS run vs Purdue but this week the Badgers find themselves underdogs at the Boilers. GEORGIA TECH 30 Virginia 24. The home team is on a 8-0 ATS run in the series. After an 0-4 ATS start to the season, the Ramblin Wreck have won and covered 5 of their last 6 games. Last week their game vs Miami, FL was pretty even as GT had a yard edge but the Canes were done in by 3 TO s. After Miami scored to cut it to 27-21, GT was able to run out the final 6:43. Meanwhile, we cashed a 2H fading Virginia last week. While the final score of was close to the 24-point line in the game, the stats were pretty close. UVA only had a yard edge. Liberty had 3 TO s that set up UVA for 14 points. We re passing here. Games in Rotation Order HOME TEAM IN CAPS Wednesday, November 14th OHIO 33 Buffalo 31. Buffalo comes in off a blowout win over Kent St last week. Buffalo dominated with first down and yard edges including on the ground and led 48-0 entering the 4Q. The Bulls 9 wins are the most in their FBS history, dating to Meanwhile the Bobcats come in off a loss at Miami, OH. The game was pretty even as Ohio had a yard edge but Miami actually led 28-7 at halftime. The early money has come in on the Bobcats. NORTHERN ILLINOIS 27 Miami, OH 23. Miami kept their bowl hopes alive with a win over Ohio last week as the Red Hawks nearly blew a 28-7 halftime lead. Meanwhile, we easily cashed a 3H on these pages backing Northern Illinois last week in their win over Toledo last week. Thanks to Ball St s upset win over Western Michigan last night, NIU has locked up the MAC West division now and this game doesn t have as much meaning for them. We now lean with Miami. Thursday, November 15th Toledo 36 KENT ST 24. Last week we easily cashed going against the Rockets in their loss at Northern Illinois. It was an interesting box score as Toledo had first down and yard edges but were +2 TO s and got out-rushed Meanwhile, Kent St got bull dozed by Buffalo last week. Toledo needs this for bowl eligibility but we don t see too much value here. Pass. HOUSTON 36 Tulane 28. The Cougars come in fresh off back-to-back losses. Last week they fell by 10 at home to Temple but the game was pretty even as Temple had a yard edge. However, Houston had 3 key TO s. Houston QB D Eriq King threw for 322 yards and 5 TD s and also added 125 rushing yards and a TD in the loss. Meanwhile, Tulane has won three in a row for first time since Last week Tulane s pass attack was far more efficient gaining 372 yards on 28 pass attempts while ECU had 360 yards on 68 pass attempts. We lean with Tulane. NORTH TEXAS 31 Florida Atlantic 30. FAU comes in off back-to-back blowout wins needing one more to get to bowl eligibility. FAU dominated WKU last week with first down and yard edges including on the ground. Meanwhile, what is North Texas state of mind? Last week North Texas actually led ODU 28-0 in the 2Q and at that point had a win probability of 99.7% according to ESPN. However, Old Dominion got a TD with :15 left for the comeback win! Totals players note the UNDER is a perfect 10-0 in North Texas games this year. Slight lean on the visitor. Friday, November 16th Memphis 40 SMU 34. SMU won a shoot-out vs UConn last week. UConn had a first down edge but SMU was more explosive with a yards per play advantage. Meanwhile, Sunday Night Owl customers have cashed in back-to-back weeks on Memphis. Last week the Tigers dominated Tulsa with first down and yard edges including on the ground. Memphis led 27-0 at halftime and Tulsa got a TD with :11 left in garbage time. Memphis RB Henderson, the nation s 2nd leading rusher, had 166 yards. However, we like the home dog here who needs just one more win for bowl eligibility. Boise St 40 NEW MEXICO 20. Boise St is ATS as a road favorite the last 11 years. The Broncos are coming off a big win as a rare home underdog to Fresno St last week. The Broncos rallied from Q deficit to score the game s final 21 points as they beat a ranked team for the first time in November in program history. Boise QB Rypien said, Being an underdog on the blue, that s never a good feeling, especially since we haven t been in a long time. And some guys in the locker room took that kind of personally. Meanwhile, New Mexico was out-classed by Air Force who had first down and yard edges including on the ground. Not sure we want to lay this kind of number on the road though. Saturday, November 17th MICHIGAN 40 Indiana 13. Michigan has won 22 straight series meetings vs Indiana but are only ATS. We feel both teams have questionable motivation for this game as both have big rivalry games on deck. Last week, the Wolverines won their 9th straight game crushing Rutgers as Michigan had first down and yard edges. Michigan QB Patterson was 18 of 27 for 260 yards and had 3 TD s. Meanwhile, Indiana beat Maryland However, Maryland had first down and yard edges including on the ground. The Terps had 4 TO s that led to 17 points for the Hoosiers. While some think Harbaugh is a bully and likes to pound on teams, Michigan is just 6-10 ATS as a 21-point or more favorite since he took over. We re passing here. Pittsburgh 32 WAKE FOREST 26. Last week we cashed a 2H on these pages on Pitt as they crushed Virginia Tech. VT actually had a first down edge but Pitt was the far more explosive team with a yard edge and an incredible yards per play advantage. That 13.9 yards per play for Pitt is the largest in CFB since at least 2005! Pitt s 2-headed monster at RB saw Qadree Ollison run for 235 yards and 3 TD s and Darrin Hall run for 186 yards and a TD. Meanwhile, Wake pulled the big upset as 18.5-point underdogs at NC State last week. Wake actually trailed with under 10 minutes left but NC State was stopped on downs inside WF s 40-yard line twice and the Demon Deacons got a 32-yard TD pass with :30 left. Jamie Newman in his first career start was 22 of 33 for 297 yards and 3 TD s (0 INT s) for Wake. The Demon Deacons are usually one of the fastest-playing teams in the country, averaging more than 85 plays per game. But the quarterback change and the lack of depth on defense forced Clawson to slow things down. They ran only 71 plays in this one. Does that create some value on the UNDER here? and yard edges. Slight lean on the home dog here. 3 3H MINNESOTA 27 Northwestern 23. Here we have one team that has everything to play for in Minnesota who needs a 6th win to qualify for a bowl. On the other side, we have one team that has nothing to play for in Northwestern who clinched the Big Ten West for the first time ever last week! Keep in mind, Minnesota is youngest team in country: 51% of their roster is freshman. So it should come as no surprise Minnesota is much better at home (+15 ppg and +89 ypg) than away from home (-23 ppg and -168 ypg). Minnesota made a change at DC last week and the results were great. The Gophers entered the game allowing 43 points and 508 yards per game, but held Purdue to 233 total yards and 10 points. Head coach PJ Fleck called his defense: Sound, simple and fast! We expect more of the same here. Finally, the underdog in Northwestern games is on a ATS run! CLEMSON 45 Duke 17. You are starting to pay a premium on Clemson. The Tigers have now covered 5 straight games! Last week Clemson dominated BC with 19-8 first down and yard edges. Meanwhile, Duke had a yard edge and won over North Carolina despite being -3 in TO s. Duke QB Daniel Jones had himself a game as he was 31 of 54 for 361 yards and 3 TD s while also adding 186 rushing yards. It was a program-record 547 total yards. Matchup edge goes to Clemson s rush offense averaging 6.7 yards per carry vs a Duke rush defense that has allowed 8.2 yards per carry the last 3 games. Pass on side, lean on OVER. Penn St 41 RUTGERS 13. Penn St is on a 11-0 SU/7-3-1 ATS run in the series. The Nittany Lions are coming off a big bounce back win over Wisconsin last week. Penn St had first down and yard edges. Meanwhile, Rutgers was run over by Michigan More of the same here as we lean OVER. Texas Tech 30 KANSAS ST 27. Last week we cashed a wild one against Texas Tech in their loss to Texas. Texas Tech had first down and yard edges but were -3 TO s. Tech rallied from a Q deficit to tie before Texas got a 29- yard TD pass with :21 left. Tech QB Duffey had 524 total yards but had 3 TO s all inside Texas 20-yard line. Duffey will again get the start here. Meanwhile, Kansas St was extremely fortunate not to lose to rival Kansas last week. Kansas had first down and yard edges but had 2 crucial TO s. Kansas St scored a 21- yard TD with 2:46 left to get the win. Kansas St has won 6 of the last 7 meetings. EAST CAROLINA 41 Connecticut 27. This is East Carolina s largest favorite role over an FBS team since Last week the Pirates lost but covered at Tulane. Tulane s pass attack was far more efficient gaining 372 yards on 28 pass attempts while ECU had 360 yards on 68 pass attempts. Meanwhile UConn actually got a cover last week. Uconn had a first down edge but SMU was more explosive with a yards per play advantage. Uconn QB David Pindell threw for 215 yards and 4 TD s and also added 184 rushing yards and 2 TD s. He became the first Husky quarterback to ever to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. Lean on the dog. TEMPLE 38 South Florida 24. Last week, USF lost at Cincy. The Bearcats had first down and yard edges including on the ground. However, USF led at halftime. USF QB Blake Barnett didn t play as Chris Oladokun and Brett Kean combined to go 14 of 32 for 232 yards and 3 TD s. Barnett is? here. On the other side, Temple s offense is rolling the last couple of weeks. Last week, they got 59 points in an upset over Houston. Temple led throughout as RB Ryquell Armstead had 210 rushing yards and 6 TD s. Don t see much value here. GEORGIA 51 Massachusetts 13. Last week, Georgia had a yard edge including on the ground in their win over Auburn. Meanwhile UMass is off a blowout loss to BYU last week. UMass actually led 10-0 early before BYU scored 35 unanswered. This is Georgia s largest favorite role ever over an FBS opponent! The Bulldogs are just 3-8 ATS laying 40 or more in their history. We lean with the large underdog here as UGA is off LSU/UF/UK/Aub and has GT/Bama on deck. Georgia Southern 30 COASTAL CAROLINA 24. Georgia Southern is trying to get their season back on track after losing back-to-back games. Last week they lost at home to Troy as the Trojans had first down and yard edges and even out-rushed Georgia Southern Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina has been sitting on 5 wins for the last couple of weeks and need one more for bowl eligibility. Last week they were drilled at Arkansas St as the Red Wolves had first down F

4 CFB VIP Late Phone/ Service (Includes Every CFB H-Rated Play): Just $199 Call ! Missouri 30 TENNESSEE 24. Last week we easily cashed on these pages as they pulled the outright upset over Kentucky. Tennessee had a yard edge including a rush yard edge. Tennessee QB Guarantano has thrown 146 consecutive passes without an interception. The Vols can get to bowl eligibility with a win here. Meanwhile, Missouri got a fortunate win over Vandy last week. The key play saw the Commodores stopped on downs at the Missouri 1-yard early in the 4Q when they were up Missouri then went 14 plays, 99 yards for the go-ahead TD. We don t see as much value here as why take Tennessee +6 this week vs Mizzou when you could ve taken them +6 last week vs an inferior UK team. KENTUCKY 30 Middle Tennessee 17. Kentucky was crushed last week by Tennessee as we easily cashed fading them on these pages. Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee won at UTEP. MT QB Brent Stockstill had arguably his best game of the season as he was 31 of 40 for 352 yards and 4 TD s. Kentucky is on a 0-11 ATS run as a favorite. Lean on Middle Tennessee especially with such a low total. Ohio St 36 MARYLAND 23. Ohio St is in a Michigan St/Michigan sandwich so do they really want margin here? Last weekend s 20-point win at MSU was more about field position than anything. OSU s punter put 5 straight punts inside MSU s 6-yard line in the second half and the Bucks got a safety and a defensive TD. Meanwhile, Maryland had first down and yard edges including on the ground but lost to Indiana. The Terps had 4 TO s that led to 17 points for the Hoosiers. Maryland trailed in the middle of the 3Q but rallied to take a lead with under 5 minutes left. Maryland QB Kasim Hill is out here but backup Pigrome has plenty of experience and played well last week. He s only a 1.5-point downgrade. Slight lean on the Terps. NC State 38 LOUISVILLE 24. After a blowout loss to Syracuse last Friday, Louisville fired head coach Bobby Petrino on Sunday. The Cardinals were just 6-21 ATS in Petrino s last 27 games including 1-9 ATS this year failing to cover the spread by 15 ppg. On the other side, NC State suffered a big upset loss to Wake Forest last Thursday. NC State actually led with under 10 minutes left but NC State was stopped on downs inside WF s 40-yard line twice and the Demon Deacons got a 32-yard TD pass with :30 left. Even though this line looks steep, we re passing. 2H OVER CENTRAL FLORIDA 37 Cincinnati 30. This is the biggest home game in school history for UCF. ESPN College GameDay will be on hand and it is prime-time on ABC. UCF is playing with unbeaten pressure but have handled it well all year. We love the OVER here. Cincy s great defensive numbers (top 7 in scoring and total defense) are masked by a weak slate of offenses. Cincy has played one Top 30 offense this year (Ohio) and they allowed 30 points and 412 yards, both by far season highs as we cashed our 5H VIP totals play on the OVER. UCF s offense is by far the best offense the Bearcats have faced. Meanwhile, there has been some misleading lower scoring games involving UCF recently. Three games ago, they played ECU with their backup QB. Last week they played an option team in Navy that kept their high-powered offense off the field. Shootout! AUBURN 47 Liberty 17. Last week we cashed with the Flames. While the final score of Virginia was close to the 24-point line, the stats were pretty close. UVA only had a yard edge. Liberty had 3 TO s that set up UVA for 14 points. The also Flames missed a FG and also allowed a 90-yard kick return TD. Meanwhile, Auburn is in a UGA/Bama sandwich and the Tigers are on a ATS run as a 3-TD or more favorite since early We like OVER. Florida International 28 CHARLOTTE 21. FIU bounced back from the blowout loss to FAU with a blowout win over UTSA last week. FIU had first down and yard edges but did benefit from a +4 TO margin. Meanwhile, Charlotte was tied early in the 3Q vs Marshall before the Thundering Herd dominated the second half. Slight lean on the road team. BYU 40 New Mexico St 16. BYU is fresh off a road win over UMass. BYU had first down and yard edges including on the ground. UMass actually led 10-0 early before BYU scored 35 unanswered. Meanwhile, New Mexico St comes in fresh off a bye. The Cougars need another win to get to bowl eligibility but we don t see much value here. WYOMING 22 Air Force 20. Both teams need to win their final 2 games to get to bowl eligibility. Wyoming did have extra time to prep for the option coming off a bye last week. On the other side, Air Force dominated New Mexico with first down and yard edges including on the ground. Air Force QB Donald Hammond was 5 of 6 for 145 yards and 2 TD s and added 137 rushing yards and a TD. Air Force is on a ATS run as a road underdog but Wyoming is on a 9-0 ATS run in the series. Pass. Utah 29 COLORADO 23. Last week Utah played extremely well with a backup QB and RB. QB Jason Shelley was 18 of 31 for 262 yards while RB Armand Shyne ran for 174 yards. The Utes had first down and yard edges including on the ground. Utah led 19-7 at halftime but trailed lead mid-way through the 4Q. However, Utah kicked a 24-yard FG with :15 left to get the cover. Meanwhile, Colorado was thumped at home to Washington St. The Cougs had first down and yard edges. Colorado WR Shenault, who had 11 touchdowns during the Buffs 5-0 start, was rusty in his return from a right turf toe injury. He caught 10 passes for 102 yards but cost his team dearly with back-to-back drops and a lost fumble. Slight lean on the home team and the OVER. Utah St 45 COLORADO ST 20. Utah St s offense continues to put up record numbers. Last week, the Aggies had first down and yard edges including on the ground. Utah St QB Jordan Love was 32 of 42 for 491 yards and 5 TD s. They broke a school record for yardage and became just the 17th team in NCAA history to gain at least 800 total yards in a game. The same can t be said for Colorado St who trailed Nevada 49-0 entering the 4Q last week. Utah St is 9-1 ATS this year but you re starting to pay a premium. This is the largest away favorite role for the Aggies in modern point spread history (40 years). 4 3H Syracuse (plus the points) Notre Dame 31 Syracuse Stadium in Bronx, NY. Last week ND had a yard edge including on the ground in their blowout win over Florida St. ND QB Ian Book (probable here) was a late scratch. Meanwhile, Syracuse had 326 rushing yards in a blowout win over Louisville. Syracuse has by far the best offense ND has faced all season. ND could struggle with the Cuse tempo as teams like Michigan, Pitt, Navy and Stanford all trot to the line of scrimmage. Syracuse is great as a dog under emotional head coach Dino Babers. They are on a 9-2 ATS run as a dog including 3-0 ATS this year with an average cover of 20 ppg. Keep in mind, Syracuse is only two plays away from being 10-0 (lost by 4 at Clemson, lost in OT at Pitt). APPALACHIAN ST 40 Georgia St 13. Last week, Appalachian St had first down and yard edges including on the ground in their 31-point win over Texas St. Appalachian St QB Zac Thomas returned from injury and was 25 of 36 for 247 yards and 2 TD s. On the other side, Georgia St only trailed entering the 4Q but ended up losing by 14 to ULL. ULL had a yard edge including on the ground. With Thomas back in the fold, the Mountaineers are the Sun Belt s best team but this is a steep line. MARSHALL 34 Utsa 10. Marshall is off a blowout win while UTSA is off another blowout loss. Marshall has been getting money all week. You have to ask yourself, who is better UAB or Marshall? We re guessing you d answer UAB. So why lay 27-points at home with Marshall when just two weeks ago, UAB was a 21.5-point home favorite over UTSA. We actually lean with UTSA at the current line. Stanford 23 CALIFORNIA 21. Stanford is on a 8-0 SU/6-2 ATS run vs Cal. Last week the Cardinal clinched a bowl for the 10th consecutive season as they crushed Oregon St. Meanwhile, Cal upset USC but USC had first down and yard edges. USC led 14-0 late 2Q and were going in for another score but fumbled in the Cal red zone. The Bears outscored the Trojans 15-0 in the second half and snapped a 14-game losing streak to USC. Can they snap another streak here? This one should go down to the wire like so many other Cal games this season. 2H OREGON 34 Arizona St 27. This number seems pretty short. Last week Oregon trailed Utah 19-7 at halftime but rallied to take a lead mid-way through the 4Q. However, Utah kicked a 24-yard FG with :15 left to get the cover. On the other side, Arizona St only had first down and yard edges vs UCLA but did control the line of scrimmage with a yard edge. Arizona St RB Eno Benjamin ran for 182 yards and the Sun Devils can win the Pac-12 South by winning out against Oregon and Arizona. We don t think they get it done as we re buying Oregon low after a 1-3 SU/ATS run in the last month. WASHINGTON ST 37 Arizona 24. Arizona comes in off a bye. Meanwhile, Washington St had first down and yard edges in a blowout win at Colorado. Washington St s offense gets all the headlines but a big reason why Cougars are 9-1 is their defense. They are Top 20 in total defense and have best scoring defense here in 15 years! Arizona s recent surge in their last two games (blowout home wins over Oregon and Colorado are keeping this number reasonable. We like Washington St to go to 10-1 SU and ATS. Nevada 36 SAN JOSE ST 23. Nevada fresh off a bye last week Nevada dominated Colorado St with first down and yard edges. The Wolf Pack actually led 49-0 entering the 4Q. Nevada QB Ty Gangi was 28 of 35 for 404 yards and 4 TD s. Meanwhile, San Jose incredibly allowed 804 total yards to Utah St in a blowout loss. While it s tempting, We re not interested in laying 2-TD s plus with Nevada here as this is the Wolf Pack s largest away favorite role since BAYLOR 29 Tcu 24. We like Baylor here. Last week while Iowa St beat Baylor 28-14, do note that Baylor had first down and yard edges. Baylor missed two short FG s and were also stopped on downs at the Iowa St 12-yard and 15-yard lines on their final two possessions. Baylor QB Charlie Brewer had a good game going 26 of 36 for 288 yards and 2 TD s. Meanwhile, it looks like TCU has folded up shop for the season as the Horned Frogs have failed to cover 7 straight games and are off a blowout loss to West Virginia where they had (-7) yards rushing. NAVY 31 Tulsa 25. Last week the Midshipmen finished a three-week stretch in which they lost to Notre Dame, Cincinnati and UCF. Those teams are a combined While Navy is having their worst season since 2002, they have predictably not quit yet. Meanwhile Tulsa is off a blowout loss at Memphis last week. We lean with Navy here but you re not getting a discount like we expected. We actually prefer the OVER at the current number. TEXAS A&M 33 Uab 16. Last week UAB clinched the CUSA West division in an OT win vs Southern Miss. UAB had a yard edge including 97-5 on the ground but UAB QB AJ Erdley missed the game (? here) and Tyler Johnston was just 14 of 27 for 207 yards with 3 INT s. Meanwhile, A&M got a fortunate win and cover over Ole Miss last week (see page 1). A&M had first down and yard edges including on the ground. While many will want to back UAB here, note the Blazers were crushed by Florida in a similar spot last year. MISSISSIPPI ST 34 Arkansas 14. Last week Arkansas lost by 7 vs LSU. However, LSU had a yard edge including on the ground. It was a bad beat for LSU backers (see page 1). On the other side, Mississippi St was shut out at Alabama 24-0 but the Bulldogs for the most part played pretty well as they were done in a by a couple of TO s and some questionable officiating. Alabama did have 23-6 first down and yard edges. Not sure we want to lay 21 with a Mississippi St offense that only averages 26 ppg. West Virginia 38 OKLAHOMA ST 34. West Virginia is off a blowout win over TCU last week but do have a really big game at home vs Oklahoma next Friday. West Virginia s home/away splits are favorable for the Mountaineers here. At home they are outscoring their opponents by 31 ppg (+257 ypg). On the road they are getting outscored by 2 ppg (-87 ypg).the only problem here is what is Oklahoma St s frame of mind after coming up one play short last week vs Oklahoma last week?

5 Louisiana Tech 24 SOUTHERN MISS 23. Tough forgetting last year s game when So Miss scored 11 points in the final 90 seconds to get the cover on us. So Miss has pulled 3 straight outright upsets in the series. La Tech is off a lackluster game vs Rice last week. LT had first down and yard edges but didn t cover. Meanwhile, Southern Miss nearly pulled a big upset at UAB but came up short in OT. Note UAB had a yard edge including 97-5 on the ground. To the wire. AKRON 28 Bowling Green 21. Last week BG got their 2nd win of the season as the Falcons had first down and yard edges including on the ground. BG actually trailed 13-0 at halftime before outscoring the Chips 24-0 in the second half. Meanwhile, EMU dominated Akron with 20-6 first down and yard edges. Akron QB Kato Nelson didn t play as Alex Ramart was 4 of 15 for 29 yards and 3 INT s. Until Nelson s status clears, we ll be sitting on the sidelines here. LSU 47 Rice 6. Last week Rice suffered its 10th straight loss after the Owls opened the season with a win over FCS Prairie View A&M. Rice has also dropped 13 straight C-USA games. Meanwhile, LSU had a yard edge including on the ground in their non-cover over Arkansas. LSU led 24-3 entering the 4Q and it was certainly a bad beat (see page 1) for Tigers backers. LSU is on a 2-10 ATS run as a 40-point or more favorite since 2007 and with A&M on deck, we re not sure if they re extremely motivated for this one. VANDERBILT 34 Ole Miss 33. Vanderbilt needs to win out to get to a bowl. Last week Ole Miss backers suffered a bad beat as they were tied with A&M entering the 4Q (see page 1). Meanwhile, Vanderbilt also suffered a tough loss as they actually led Missouri late 3Q. The key play saw the Commodores stopped on downs at the Missouri 1-yard early in the 4Q when they were up Missouri then went 14 plays, 99 yards for the go-ahead TD. Vandy RB Ke Shawn Vaughn ran for 182 yards and a TD. Another game to the wire. Boston College 26 FLORIDA ST 24. Tough getting involved here until we know the status of BC QB Anthony Brown. Last week Brown was KO d early in the game and the Eagles lost by 20 to Clemson as the Tigers dominated with 19-8 first down and yard edges. Meanwhile, FSU was run over by Notre Dame as the Seminoles allowed 365 yards rushing to the Irish in the cold. FSU now needs to win out to extend their 37-year bowl streak. We have our doubts. OKLAHOMA 51 Kansas 20. Do you really want to lay more than 5 TD s with this Oklahoma defense? Last week Oklahoma St had a first down edge but Oklahoma was more explosive with a yard edge and a yards per play advantage. OSU missed an extra point after their 2nd to last TD and then went for 2 after scoring a TD with 1:03 left but missed. OU s playoff hopes had remained in the balance. On the other side, Kansas continues to play hard for fired coach David Beaty. Last week, Kansas had first down and yard edges but had 2 crucial TO s. Kansas St scored a 21-yard TD with 2:46 left to get the win. WASHINGTON 44 Oregon St 13. Washington is coming in fresh off a bye while Oregon St was plastered by Stanford last week. While it s been a disappointing season for the Huskies do note that their 3 losses have come by a combined 10 points (but UW also has 3 wins by 7 points or less). We re not sure this Washington offense that is averaging 27 ppg can get enough margin here. ARKANSAS ST 38 UL-Monroe 28. Arkansas St has won and covered the last 8 meetings vs UL-Monroe. The Red Wolves are off a blowout win over Coastal Carolina last week. Arkansas St had first down and yard edges and QB Justice Hansen was red hot going 18 of 20 for 253 yards and 4 TD s. Meanwhile, ULM dominated South Alabama with first down and yard edges including through the air. ULM QB Caleb Evans was 27 of 32 for 367 yards and 2 TD s.arkansas St makes it 9 in a row. TROY 37 Texas St 14. Last week Troy remained unbeaten in Sun Belt play with a win at Georgia Southern. Troy had first down and yard edges and even out-rushed Georgia Southern Meanwhile, Texas St was thumped as Appalachian St had first down and yard edges including on the ground. While this line looks a bit steep, note that Troy is on a ATS run as a favorite. We prefer the OVER. Two teams heading in opposite directions as ULL is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 while South Alabama is 1-5 in their last 6. Last week So. Bama was dominated by ULM who had first down and yard edges including through the air. Meanwhile, ULL had a yard edge including on the ground in their win over Georgia St. Rajin Cajun RB s Raymond Calais had 186 rushing yards and Elijah Mitchell had 136 rushing yards. Look for them to have a lot of success vs the So. Bama rush defense. Miami, FL 27 VIRGINIA TECH 24. This game was supposed to decide the ACC Coastal this year but instead is a match-up of two of the most disappointing teams in the country. After last week s loss to Georgia Tech, Miami, FL is just 5-8 SU/3-10 ATS in their last 13 games. Meanwhile, VT actually had a first down edge but Pitt was the far more explosive team with a yard edge and an incredible yards per play advantage! That 13.9 yards per play for Pitt is the largest in CFB since at least 2005! Not sure we can trust either team here. WESTERN KENTUCKY 28 Utep 24. Could WKU HC Mike Sanford get fired after only two years on the job? It s been a total mess for WKU this season at 1-9 SU and last week they fell to FAU. On the other side, while UTEP is also 1-9, there seems to be more optimism in El Paso. The Miners are clearly an improved team under first year head coach Dana Dimel. Last year UTEP was outscored by 25 ppg (-216 ypg) and this year they are only getting outscored by 12 ppg (-82 ypg). We lean with the Miners and the OVER here. 2H NEBRASKA 27 Michigan St 24. We like the Huskers here. The Nebraska offense is humming after its win over Illinois last week. For the first time in school history, the Huskers have 7 straight games of at least 450 yards and they have scored at least 30 points in 5 straight. Keep in mind, Nebraska is much better than their 3-7 record indicates as they are 0-4 in games decided by 5 points or less. Meanwhile, Sparty is off a 20-point loss to Ohio St last week as the MSU offense that is averaging only 22 ppg will find it tough to keep pace here. TEXAS 28 Iowa St 24. While Iowa St beat Baylor last week, do note that Baylor had first down and yard edges. Baylor missed two short FG s and were also stopped on downs at the Iowa St 12-yard and 15-yard lines on their final two possessions. Iowa St RB Montgomery is suspended for the first half here after fighting last week. On the other side, Texas QB Sam Ehlinger has now gone 280 straight passes without a pick (Big 12 record). Last week we cashed a 3H on these pages in the Horns dramatic win at Texas Tech (Horns nearly blew a 17-point lead). We are concerned with Texas energy level here as they have played 6 straight games decided by 7 points or less. Usc 28 UCLA 27. We have a toxic atmosphere at USC with Clay Helton likely gone. Last week the Trojans blew a 2-TD lead and lost for the first time in 15 years to Cal. Meanwhile, UCLA is playing better as of late and last week had a solid effort at Arizona St. They can make their whole season with a win here. Note that USC is 7-18 ATS their last 25 games and 7-16 ATS on the road under Helton. We lean UCLA. FRESNO ST 28 San Diego St 17. San Diego St is not only 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog, the Aztecs are also 7-1 SU and have pulled two upsets in the dog role this year vs Arizona St and Boise St. Speaking of Boise St, the Bulldogs blew a 17-3 lead on the Blue Turf last week as Boise had a yard edge including on the ground. We don t mind catching San Diego St off an upset loss to UNLV as 24-point favorites. Keep in mind, you re paying a premium on a Fresno St team that has gone ATS the last two years and that premium finally caught up to them last week. HAWAII 36 Unlv 30. This game comes down to energy level as Hawaii is fresh off a bye and has been on the islands for the last 3 weeks. Meanwhile, UNLV is playing a 7th straight week and is off a big road upset at San Diego State last week as 24-point underdogs. The thing that keeps us of Hawaii here is their horrific record as a favorite as the Rainbow Warriors are 1-16 ATS their last 17 games as a favorite. Also UNLV could get back QB Armani Rogers for this one. 6 Week 12 Computer Projected Lines for Every CFB Game For the past couple of seasons we have posted computer projected lines at pregame.com. Games where there was of difference of more than 3 points saw our computer lines actually beat the Vegas line at a (55%) clip the last two years. That s pretty solid and actually better than our own handicapping (much to our dismay). So far this year s plays are Keep in mind, these computer lines don t take into consideration off-the-field factors like revenge or flat spots. They are basically a power-rating number difference between the two teams that also takes into consideration the home field advantage. Of the 8 games where our computer is off more than 3 points compared to the Vegas line (highlighted), our favorite team this week to back would be Washington St The Comp column is the computer projected line and the Diff column is the difference between the Vegas line and the Computer line. + numbers in the difference column say back the underdog. - numbers in the difference column say back the favorite. Iowa is on a 17-0 SU/ ATS run as a road favorite. This week the Hawkeyes are 16-point favorites at Illinois. 4. Wisconsin is on a 12-0 SU/9-3 ATS run vs Purdue. However, this week the Badgers find themselves 4.5-point underdogs at the Boilers. 5. The home team is on a 8-0 ATS run in the Virginia/ Georgia Tech series. This week the Yellow Jackets are 6.5-point home favorites vs Virginia. 6. The underdog is on a ATS run in Northwestern games. This week Minnesota is a 2-point underdog at home to Northwestern. 7. Temple is 25-7 ATS in AAC play the last 4 years. This week they are 14-point favorites hosting USF. 8. Kentucky is on a 0-11 ATS run as a favorite. This week the Wildcats are 16-point home favorites vs Middle Tennessee. 9. Louisville fired head coach Bobby Petrino on Sunday. The Cardinals were just 6-21 ATS in Petrino s last 27 games including 1-9 ATS this year failing to cover the spread by 15 ppg. This week the Cardinals are 16.5-point home underdogs to NC State. 10. Auburn is on a ATS run as a 3-TD or more favorite since early This week the Tigers are 28.5-point home favorites vs Liberty. 11. Air Force is on a ATS run as a road underdog. This week the Falcons are 2.5-point road underdogs at Wyoming. 12. Utah St is a 27-point road favorite at Colorado St this week. That s the largest away favorite role for the Aggies in modern point spread history (40 years). 13. Syracuse is on a 9-2 ATS run as an underdog under head coach Dino Babers. The Orange have covered all 3 games as a dog this year by a total of 59.5 points. This week they are 10.5-point dogs vs Notre Dame. 14. Stanford is on a 8-0 SU/6-2 ATS run vs Cal. This week the Cardinal are 2.5-point favorites at the Bears. 15. LSU is on a 2-10 ATS run as a 40-point or more favorite since This week the Tigers are 42-point favorites hosting Rice. 16. Arkansas St has won and covered the last 8 meetings vs UL-Monroe. This week the Red Wolves are 8-point favorites hosting the War Hawks. 17. Troy is on a ATS run as a favorite. This week they are 23.5-point favorites hosting Texas St. 18. USC is on a 7-18 ATS run in their last 25 games. USC is also just 7-16 ATS on the road under head coach Clay Helton. This week the Trojans are 3.5-point road favorites at UCLA. 19. San Diego St is not only 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog, the Aztecs are also 7-1 SU. This week San Diego St is a 13-point dog at Fresno St. 20. Hawaii is 1-16 ATS their last 17 games as a favorite. This week the Warriors 6.5-point favorites at home vs UNLV.
