4 Way Volleyball Rules: Each Team stands in one of the four courts. To start the game, the player in square four serves the ball by hitting it towards one of the other squares. The receiving Team then hits the ball to any other Team in one of the other squares. If a Team hits the ball out of bounds or fails to hit the ball after it has landed in their square, they receive a point. In addition, if a Team mis serves, they will receive a point. Rotation of serves: Court 4 begins the game by serving. When a point is scored, the serve will go next to Court 3, etc. The object of the game is to score the least amount of points. Points and Players: We will play 4, 7 minute games. Each game is worth 2 points to the Team with the lowest volleyball score. Each team will play 4 players at a time. There must be an equal number of girls and boys on the floor. 2 subs (1 per gender)
Softball Toss Rules: Each Team will have 8 players (1 per age bracket, per gender in older divisions) for the Softball Toss. Each player will get to throw 2 times. The object of the Softball Toss will be to hit a target with your resting ball. 40 and over will throw first (ladies then men). Continue to move through age bracket order. Flag markers will be placed where the ball rests. The team with the resting ball closest to the target will receive 4 pts. Next closest, 3, 2, 1. In case of a tie, ONE player from each of the tied Teams will be given 1 more throw. 2 softballs marker bean bags target spray paint
**Please ignore any information about distance or starting/stopping lines. These will be determined based upon our new location.** Sponge Race 8 players per Team (gender does not matter) Have the teams lie down on the floor making a line. Tell them to lie down so as one s head almost touches other s feet. Each player s hands should be under his/her bottom. Now give one sponge to each team and they have to pass the sponge to the member behind using their feet. If they drop a sponge the person who dropped it should replace it in his/her feet and continue passing. The winning team is the first to get the sponge from the final player s feet into the bucket no hands 1 bucket w water 4 empty buckets Spray paint 4 sponges
Caterpillar Race Rules: 8 players (gender does not matter) Each team stands in a line holding hands Each team is called a caterpillar. The goal of the game is to be the first team to reach the finish line and then toss their hoops (2) over the cone. To move forward, the last player picks up 1 hula hoop with his/her free hand. The hoop must pass through his/her body onto his/her neighbor s body WITHOUT dropping hands. Then the last player picks up another hoop and repeats the above step. Once both hoops are in play, the last player will run to the end of the line and grab hands, thereby, advancing the caterpillar. Misc.: 2 hula hoops per Team (8 hoops) Spray paint 4 traffic cones If a hoop drops or if the line breaks, both hoops begin again at the back of the caterpillar (not from the beginning line, from the beginning of the caterpillar where they are currently standing) If the team misses the cone, they must shag their own hoop and re throw from behind the blue solid line. Caterpillar does NOT cross the blue line, but must throw the 2 hoops from behind the blue line to the cones
Beach Ball Squeeze Rules: 4 players (gender does not matter) Two players from each team hook arms, back to back. The ball is placed between their backs. The players hands should remain in front of their chest. Hands may NOT touch the ball. The ball should be placed up high enough on the back that it is not resting on bottoms. Team 1 races to the basket, squats, and place ball in the basket. Once the ball TOUCHES the BOTTOM of the basket, the next 2 players will run their ball down to the next basket. First team to make their ball into the second basket wins. Misc.: 4 beach balls Spray paint 8 laundry baskets If the beach ball drops, if the players use their hands, or if the second group takes the ball before it is completely in the basket, the team will need to return to the beginning of their set (if they are the second team they would start from the basket not the starting line).
Ski Race 6 players per Team (gender does not matter) The END of BOTH skis must be OVER the finish line to complete the race 8 skis
Quidditch 1 Seeker must stay on pool noodle and run around looking for the snitch. Once the snitch is found, the game is over. Seekers may prank other players but CANNOT score or defend the goal. They also may not touch the quaffles. Seekers may throw water balloons at other players. Each team will be provided with 100 water balloons which will be housed by their own goal. Seekers should not steal the other team s balloons. Obtaining the snitch is worth 30 pts. 3 Chasers these are the people trying to score. They may kick or throw the quaffles (2 balls) to try to get them in the goal. They may only take 3 steps before passing the ball or shooting. Please note that the upper hoop is worth 5 pts. The lower hoop is worth 10. Chasers may not touch the snitch or the water balloons. 2 Beaters use bludgers (pool noodles) to hit other players and the ball so as to disrupt play. Beaters may not score or touch the snitch, water balloons or quaffles. If a player is hit with a bludger, s/he must drop any quaffles/water balloons s/he may be holding and run back to his/her goal before returning to play. Beaters should stay on their half of the field. 1 Keeper defends the goals by batting, kicking, or throwing the quaffles with his/her hands, legs, or XXL racket. Keepers may not touch the snitch or water balloons. Keepers should also guard the water balloons. 1 Guard defends the water balloons and squirts people with water gun. Cannot enter the field; cannot touch any other game equipment. Play begins with all players back behind their goals. At the whistle they will rush up to the center line where the quaffles are placed. Bludgers will be kept by the goals each team has an equal number of bludgers and may only use their team s supply. 2 coolers with 100 water balloons in each 1 snitch ball 2 quaffles 2 short goals and 2 tall goals 6 pool noodles 2 large racquets for keeper 6 cones to mark center and base lines

Upon successfully flipping the cup. The player runs back to his team and the next player runs down to the table and play continues as above. The last player on each team will act as bartender for the team. This person will wait at the drink table and serve up the drinks as the runners arrive.
