3 Introduction Dear Reader, I would like to thank you for purchasing a copy of my Team Shooting Drills book. I put a lot of time and effort into this book. I compiled my favorite team shooting drills that I have designed or acquired throughout my career as a player and skills coach. As a coach, it is important to prepare your players for every situation that they will see in games. It also is important to help them develop confidence shooting the basketball from the spots on the floor that they will shoot in games. While most coaches know how valuable shotmakers are, very few coaches help their players develop proper shooting mechanics and very few coaches get their players enough game shots in practice. In fact, I studied some of the top high school programs and found two interesting statistics: On average, high school players shoot 13 shots per hour in open gym play. On average, high school players shoot 32 shots per hour in practice (including shooting drills). In a perfect world, all of your players would make game shots per day on their own, outside of practice, but the reality is that some of your players do not put in any additional work outside of the team s practice requirements. Because of this, it is important to get your players game shots at game speed during practice. The drills in this book will help you do that. 4 Shooting Keys Below, I have listen ten shooting keys that will help you shoot the basketball with perfect form. I want to note that almost all shooters have different shooting mechanics and that the most important thing is that players shoot with a consistent, repeatable form. Consistent form in practice turns into consistent makes in games. Balanced base Your feet should be parallel to each other throughout your entire shot. This doesn't necessarily mean perfectly squared, because a lot of great shooters have their feet angled at 10 o clock or 11 o clock to start, but you want your hips to be even and you want to jump evenly off both of your feet. Shooting hand spread wide under the basketball at the point of release Having your hand spread wide will help you control your shot more. Also, having your hand under the ball will help you get proper backspin on your shot. Quickly and cleanly get the basketball to your lift pocket without any hitches Shooting the basketball from the same lift pocket every time helps improve your consistency. Keep your balance hand vertical throughout your entire shot Notice, I said balance hand, not guide hand, because your off-hand shouldn t guide the basketball at all. If your balance hand or balance hand thumb get into the shot, it will usually cause unwanted sidespin. Click your shoulder and finish your release with your elbow above your eyebrow Clicking your shoulder simply means to fully punch and extend your shoulder high so that you can increase your arc and improve your drop angle. Also, finishing your release with your elbow above your eyebrow allows you to shoot through the basketball for more accuracy. Snap your wrist and get your pointer finger at the rim - Snapping your wrist imparts backspin on your shot, which helps soften the shot if you hit any part of the rim, and getting your pointer finger down and at the rim ensures perfect backspin and a straight flight path. Shoot with rhythm - Make sure you flow from your feet to your follow through in one, smooth, free-flowing shot. Engage your core and freeze your hips - My team and I just did a huge study on twisting and how it affects the top shooters in the NBA and found that when players land at the same angle that they jumped from, they shoot 64%. Their percentage dropped to 44% when there was any turning or twisting during their jump. Land on balance Make sure you stick your landing. During the same study I mentioned above, we found that the best shooters in the NBA shot a poor 32% from the field when both of their feet didn t land at the same time. Have confidence All great shooters KNOW they are going to knock the shot down before they shoot it. The only way to develop confidence is by knocking down countless game-like reps with consistent form in practice.

6 Baseline Drive Reactions Set Up: Players will start in three lines (both wings and on the strong-side block). Every player will start with a basketball. One coach will start at the top of the key and another coach will start on the baseline below the strong-side block. Step 1: Player in the front of the weak-side wing line will pass their basketball to the coach at the top of the key, while the player on the block will pass their basketball to the coach on the baseline. Step 2: After Coach receives the basketball, the player in the front of the strong-side wing line will drive baseline. On the baseline drive, the weak-side wing will sprint to the corner and receive a baseline drift pass for a corner catch-and-shoot jump shot, while the post on the strong-side block will I-Cut to the elbow and receive a pass from the coach on the baseline for a jump shot. Step 3: After completing the baseline drift pass, the passer will curl and receive a pass from Coach for a jump shot. Step 4: Players will grab their own rebound. Post players will stay in the line behind the block, while the perimeter players will rotate to the opposite line. 7 Curl and Pops Set Up: Players will start in four lines (both corners, the middle of the free throw line and the top of the key). Every player in the lines at the free throw line and at the top of the key will start with a basketball, except the first player in the line at the top of the key. Step 1: Player in the front of the line at the top of the key will sprint and set a wide pindown screen for one of the shooters in the corner. Shooter will curl around the screen and receive a pass from the next player in the line at the top of the key then shoot a jump shot off the bounce. Step 2: After setting the wide pindown screen, the screener should pop to space and receive a pass from the first player in the line at the free throw line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: After passing, the passer at the top of the key will sprint and set a wide pindown screen for the shooters in the opposite corner to continue the drill. The player that passed the basketball to the popping screener will rotate to the back of the corner shooting line. The screener will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the line at the free throw line. The player that used the wide pindown will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the line at the top of the key. 8 High Ball Screen/Dribble Hand-Off Combo Set Up: Players will start in three lines. Post players will start on the weak-side elbow and perimeter players will start in two lines on the strong-side (a line of ball handlers near halfcourt and a line on the wing). Every player in the ball handler line and every player in the post line will start with a basketball, except for the first player in the post line. Step 1: Player in the front of the post line will separate to set a ball screen for the first player in the ball handler line. The ball handler will come off the ball screen at their pace and shoot a jump shot off the bounce. Step 2: After setting the screen, the screener will pop and receive a pass from the next player in the post line. After receiving the pass, the screener will complete a dribble handoff to the player in the front of the line on the wing. The wing will attack off the dribble hand-off then hit the popping screener for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound. Post players will stay in the line on the weak-side elbow, while the perimeter players will rotate to the opposite line. 9 High Ball Screen/Short Roll Drive and Kick Combo Set Up: Players will start in three lines. Post players will start on the weak-side elbow and perimeter players will start in two lines on the strong-side (a line of ball handlers near half-court and a line in the corner). Every player in the ball handler line and every player in the post line will start with a basketball, except for the first player in the post line. Step 1: Player in the front of the post line will separate to set a ball screen for the first player in the ball handler line. The ball handler will come off the ball screen at their pace and shoot a jump shot off the bounce. Step 2: After setting the screen, the screener will short roll and receive a pass from the next player in the post line. After receiving the pass, the screener will drive down the lane to create defensive rotations then kick it to the shooter in the corner for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Player that shoots off the ball screen will grab their own rebound, while the post player that kicked the basketball to the corner will rebound the catch-and-shoot jump shot. Post players will stay in the line on the weak-side elbow, while the perimeter players will rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
10 Pinch Post Flares Set Up: Players will start in two lines. Post players will start on the block and perimeter players will start near half-court. Every player will start with a basketball. Step 1: Player on the block will pass their basketball to the coach on the free throw line. Step 2: After Coach receives the basketball, the player on the block will sprint to the elbow and receive a pinch post entry from the ball handler. On the catch, the player on the elbow will reverse pivot and shoot a jump shot. Step 3: After passing, the original ball handler will set up their cut then flare to the weak-side wing and receive a pass from Coach for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 4: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the same line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
11 Pinch Post/Wing Ball Screen Slip Combo Set Up: Players will start in three lines. Post players will start on the weak-side block and perimeter players will start in two lines on the strong-side (a line of ball handlers near half-court and a line on the wing). Every player in the ball handler line and every player in the post line will start with a basketball, except for the first player in the post line. Step 1: Player in the front of the post line will sprint to the elbow and receive a pinch post entry from the ball handler. After making the pinch post entry, the original ball handler will sprint and receive a hand-off then shoot a jump shot off the bounce. Step 2: After setting the screen, the screener will pop and receive a pass from the next player in the post line. After receiving the pass, the screener will complete a pass to the player in the front of the line on the wing then sprint to set a wing ball screen. Just before setting the screen, the screener should slip to the basket and receive a pass from the wing for a short jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound. Post players will stay in the line on the weakside elbow, while the perimeter players will rotate to the opposite line. 12 Skip and Flash Combo Set Up: Players will start in three lines (the strong-side slot, the weak-side wing and the strong-side block). Every player in the slot and wing lines will start with a basketball. Coach will start in the mid-range on the weak-side wing. Step 1: Player in the front of the weak-side wing line will pass their basketball to the coach in the mid-range. Step 2: After Coach receives the basketball, the player in the front of the strong-side slot line will break the angle then make a post feed. Step 3: After feeding the post, the original ball handler will make a basket cut then clear to the weak-side corner. The post player will simulate that they are being trapped and retreat dribble, then skip the basketball to the weak-side wing, who will quickly make a one-more pass to the corner for a catch-andshoot jump shot. Step 4: After completing the skip pass, the post player should flash middle and receive a pass from Coach for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 5: Player that shot the corner jump shot will grab their own rebound, while the perimeter player that passed the basketball to the corner will rebound the catch-and-shoot jump shot by the post player. Post players will rotate to the back of the line on the block, while the perimeter players will rotate to the opposite line. 13 Perimeter Shooting Drills
14 Around-the-Horn Shooting Set Up: Four players will start in the traditional shell spots (both corners and both slots). One of the players in the corner will start with a basketball. The remaining players will start with basketballs in a line behind the on-court ball handler. Step 1: Players will reverse the basketball to their teammate in the opposite corner, who will shoot a catch and shoot jump shot. Step 2: Players will follow their pass and sprint to the next spot, where they must be down and ready to receive the next reversal. Players must pass with their outside hands. Step 3: Once a player shoots, they will sprint to get their rebound and rotate to the back of the line in the corner. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
15 Baseline Drift Into Curl Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each wing). Every player will start with a basketball. Coach will start at the top of the key. Step 1: Player in the front of the weak-side wing line will pass their basketball to the coach at the top of the key. Step 2: After Coach receives the basketball, the player in the front of the strong-side wing line will drive baseline. On the baseline drive, the weak-side wing will sprint to the corner and receive a baseline drift pass for a corner catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: After completing the baseline drift pass, the passer will curl and receive a pass from Coach for a jump shot. Step 4: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
16 Close Outs Into Drifts Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each block). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of each line. Step 1: Players in the front of each line will close out to the three-point line above the elbow by sprinting 2/3 of the way, and then making short choppy steps with high hands to the three-point line, simulating closing out on a shooter. Step 2: After completing the close out, players will flare to the same-side corner and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: After passing, the second player in each line will repeat the same steps. Step 4: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
17 Corner Treys Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on the block and one on the wing). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of the line on the block. Step 1: Player in the front of the line on the block will sprint to the corner and receive a pass from the player in the front of the line on the wing for a catch-andshoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line on the wing will sprint to the corner and receive a pass from the player in the front of the line on the block for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
18 Defensive Slides Into Curls Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each block). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of each line. Step 1: Players in the front of each line will defensive slide to the corner three-point line. Step 2: After completing the defensive slide, players will curl to the same-side elbow and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: After passing, the second player in each line will repeat the same steps. Step 4: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
19 Dribble Drive Kicks Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one in the corner and one at the top of the key). Every player in the line at the top of the key will start with a basketball. Step 1: Player in the front of the line at the top of the key will drive down the lane to create defensive rotations then kick it to the player in the corner, who will attack the middle and shoot a jump shot off the bounce. Step 2: After passing, the ball handler that kicked the basketball to the corner will rotate to the corner and become the next shooter. Shooter will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the ball handler line at the top of the key. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
20 Middle Drive Into One-Mores Set Up: Players will start in a line on the wing with basketballs. Additionally, one player will start on the weak-side slot and one player will start in the weak-side corner. Step 1: Player in the front of the ball handling line will drive middle. On the middle drive, the player in the weak-side slot will shift to the angle and receive a pass from the driver, then will quickly make a one-more pass for a corner catch-andshoot jump shot. Step 2: Player that drove middle will rotate to the slot and the player that made the one-more pass will rotate to the corner. Step 3: Shooter will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the ball handler line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
21 Quick Cut Combo Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one in the corner and one near the top of the key). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of the line in the corner. Step 1: Player in the front of the line in the corner will set up their cut then curl to the hollow area and receive a pass from the player in the front of the line near the top of the key for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line near the top of the key will curl to the wing and receive a pass from the player in the front of the line in the corner for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
22 Tight Pindown Shooting Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each side of the top of the key). Every player will start with a basketball, except the first player in each line. Two additional players will start underneath the rim. Step 1: Players in the front of each line near the top of the key will sprint wide and set tight pindown screens for the shooters underneath the rim. Shooters will curl around the screens and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: Shooters will grab their own rebounds then rotate to the back of the passing lines near the top of the key. Screeners will sprint underneath the rim and become the next shooters. Passers will sprint wide and set tight pindown screens for the new shooters. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
23 Transition Throw-Ahead Jumpers Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each wing behind half-court). Every player will start with a basketball, except one of the players in the front of either line. Step 1: Player without the ball will sprint wide and receive a pass from the player in the front of the opposite line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line will sprint wide and receive a pass from the player in the front of the opposite line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time. Coaches can also allow the players to shoot one or two-dribble strong-side jump shots off the dribble or one or two-dribble rip through jump shots off the dribble.
24 Two-Line Shooting Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each wing). Every player will start with a basketball, except one of the players in the front of either line. Step 1: Player without the ball will cut to the opposite elbow and receive a pass from the player in the front of the opposite line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line will cut to the opposite elbow and receive a pass from the player in the front of the opposite line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time. Coaches can also allow the players to shoot one or two-dribble strong-side jump shots off the dribble or one or two-dribble rip through jump shots off the dribble.
25 Wide Curl and Shift Shooting Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one in the corner and one at the top of the key). Every player will start with a basketball. Coach will start on the block. Step 1: Player in the front of the corner line will pass their basketball to the coach on the block. Step 2: After Coach receives the basketball, the player in the front of the line in the corner will set up their cut then curl to the hollow area and receive a pass from the player in the front of the line at the top of the key for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line at the top of the key will shift to the weak-side wing and receive a pass from Coach for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
26 Wide Pindown Curls Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each side of the top of the key). Every player will start with a basketball, except the first player in each line. One additional player will start in each corner. Step 1: Players in the front of each line near the top of the key will sprint and set wide pindown screens for the shooters in the corners. Shooters will curl around the screens and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: Shooters will grab their own rebounds then rotate to the back of the passing lines near the top of the key. Screeners will sprint to the corners and become the next shooters. Passers will sprint and set wide pindown screens for the new shooters. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.

Shooters will start to curl around the screens then pop and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: Shooters will grab their own rebounds then rotate to the back of the passing lines near the top of the key. Screeners will sprint to the corners and become the next shooters. 29 Close Outs Into Wing Pick and Pops Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each block). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of each line. Step 1: Players in the front of each line will close out to the three-point line above the elbow by sprinting 2/3 of the way, and then making short choppy steps with high hands to the three-point line, simulating closing out on a shooter. Step 2: After completing the close out, players will separate to set a wing ball screen. 30 Defensive Slides Into Step Ups Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each block). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of each line. Step 1: Players in the front of each line will defensive slide to the corner three-point line. Step 2: After completing the defensive slide, players will sprint up to set a butt-to-thebaseline screen. After holding the screen for a second, the screener should pop to space and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 3: After passing, the second player in each line will repeat the same steps. Step 4: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. 31 High Ball Screen Pick and Pops Set Up: Players will start in a line near half-court. Every player will start with a basketball. An additional player will start on the weak-side elbow. Step 1: Player on the weak-side elbow will separate to set a ball screen for the first player in the ball handler line. The ball handler will attack off the ball screen then hit the popping screener for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the ball handler that came off the ball screen will rotate to the elbow and become the next screener. Shooter will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the ball handler line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
32 I-Cut Shooting Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each wing). Every player will start with a basketball. An additional player will start on each block. Step 1: Players in the front of the ball handling lines will drive baseline. On the baseline drive, the players on the blocks will I-Cut to the strongside elbow and receive a pass from the driver for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: Players that drove baseline will rotate to the blocks. Shooters will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the ball handler line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
33 Reverse Pivot Jumpers Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each wing). Every player will start with a basketball. An additional player will start on one of the blocks. Step 1: Player on the block will receive a post entry pass from the player in the front of the line on the strong-side wing. On the catch, the player on the block will reverse pivot and shoot a jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line on the strong-side wing will make a basket cut then post up on the opposite block and receive a pass from the player in the front of the opposite wing line. On the catch, the player on the block will reverse pivot and shoot a jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
34 Space Cut Shooting Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each wing). Every player will start with a basketball. An additional player will start on each block. Step 1: Players in the front of the ball handling lines will drive middle. On the middle drive, the players on the blocks will space cut to the short corner and receive a pass from the driver for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: Players that drove middle will rotate to the blocks. Shooters will grab their own rebound then rotate to the back of the ball handler line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
35 Tight Pindown Pick and Pops Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on each side of the top of the key). Every player will start with a basketball, except the first player in each line. Step 1: Players in the front of each line near the top of the key will sprint wide and set tight pindown screens. After holding the screen for a second, the screener should pop to space and receive a pass from the next player in line for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the second player in each line will repeat the same steps. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. 36 Team Shooting Challenges
37 120 in Two Minutes Set Up: Players will start in three lines across the baseline. The first player in the middle line and the second player in each of the corner lines will start with a basketball. Two additional players will start with basketballs in the opposite-end corners. Five basketballs total. Step 1: Player 1 will pass the basketball to a sprinting Player 2, then sprint around Player 2. Step 2: Player 2 will receive the pass, pass the basketball to a sprinting Player 3, and then sprint around Player 3 for a catch-and-shoot jump shot from Player 5. Step 3: Player 3 will receive the pass, pass the basketball to a sprinting Player 1 for a lay-up, and then sprint around Player 1 for a catch-and-shoot jump shot from Player 4. Step 4: Player 1 will rebound their own lay-up, then pass the basketball ahead to Player 5 to continue the drill, while Player 2 and Player 3 will rebound their own shots and replace the player they received the pass from. Step 5: After Player 1 makes their second lay-up, Player 6 will grab the basketball out of the net and continue the drill. 38 21 in Five Minutes Set Up: Players will start across the baseline. One shooter will start on the free throw line with a basketball. Steps: When the clock starts, the shooter will shoot a one-and-one free throw. If the shooter misses the first free throw, the team must run to halfcourt and back twice. If the player makes the first free throw, but misses the second, the team must run to half-court and back once. If the player makes both free throws, no running occurs and a new shooter steps to the line to shoot. Additional Info: The team must make 21 free throws in five minutes, otherwise they have a sprint for every make under 21 that they ended with. The team must repeat the drill until successful.
39 50 in Four Minutes Set Up: Three players will start in a line in one of the corners. The first two players in the line will start with basketballs. Step 1: Player in the front of the line will shoot a jump shot then sprint to grab their own rebound, while the second player in line shoots a jump shot. Step 2: Players will shoot, grab their own rebound, then complete a good pass to the next shooter that is down and ready to shoot. Step 3: As soon as the group makes ten shots, they will move to the next spot. Additional Info: Every member of the team should call out the team s overall score on every made shot. Goal is for the team to make ten shots from each of the five spots (50 total makes) in four minutes.
40 Five-Line Shooting Set Up: Players will start in five lines (both corners, both wings and the middle of the free throw line). Player in the front of each line will start with a basketball. Step 1: Players in the front of each line will shoot a jump shot. Step 2: Players will grab their own rebound then complete a good pass to a different line than they just shot from. Passers will follow their pass and sprint to the back of the line that they just completed the pass to. Additional Info: Every member of the team should call out the team s overall score on every made shot. Goal is for the team to make a total of 150 shots in five minutes.
41 Five-Minute Three-Line Shooting Set Up: Players will start in three lines across the free throw line. Player in the front of each line will start with a basketball. Step 1: Players in the front of each line will shoot a jump shot. Step 2: Players will grab their own rebound then complete a good pass to a different line than they just shot from. Passers will follow their pass and sprint to the back of the line that they just completed the pass to. Additional Info: Every member of the team should call out the team s overall score on every made shot. Goal is for the team to make a total of 125 shots in five minutes.
42 Full-Court Catch-and-Shoot Jumpers Set Up: Players will start in groups of three (two players will start on opposite baselines with basketballs and one player will start at half-court without a basketball). Step 1: Players at half-court will sprint towards either one of their partners and receive a pass from their partner for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the passer should sprint the length of their floor to their partner on the opposite end and receive a pass from their partner for a catchand-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then wait on the baseline until one of their partners sprints towards them for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Additional Info: First group to 12 makes wins.
43 Step Ins Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one on the wing and one in the corner). Every player will start with a basketball, except the player in the front of the line in the corner. Step 1: Player in the front of the line in the corner will step in and receive a pass from the player in the front of the line on the wing for a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Step 2: After passing, the player in the front of the line on the wing will step in and receive a pass from the next player in the line in the corner for a catchand-shoot jump shot. Step 3: Players will grab their own rebound then rotate to the opposite line. Additional Info: Group will try to make as many shots as possible in the allowed time.
44 Three-Ball Two-Line Shooting Set Up: Players will start in two lines (one in each corner). The first two players in one of the lines and the first player in the other line will start with basketballs. Step 1: Player in the front of the line with two basketballs will shoot a jump shot then sprint to grab their own rebound, while the player in front of the other line shoots a jump shot. Step 2: Players will shoot, grab their own rebound, then complete a good pass to the next shooter that is down and ready to shoot in the opposite line. Passers will follow their pass and sprint to the back of the line that they just completed the pass to. Additional Info: Every member of the team should call out the team s overall score on every made shot. Goal is for the team to make 20 shots per minute. Coach can change the shooting spots at any time.
45 Three-Man Two-Ball Shooting Set Up: Three players will start outside the three-point line. Two players will start with basketballs. Step 1: One of the ball handlers will shoot a jump shot then sprint to grab their own rebound, while the other ball handler shoots a jump shot. Step 2: Players will shoot, grab their own rebound, and then complete a good pass to the next shooter that is spotted up and ready to shoot. After passing, passers will relocate somewhere outside of the threepoint line and spot up and be ready to shoot. Additional Info: Every member of the team should call out the team s overall score on every made shot. Goal is for the team to make 60 shots in five minutes.
