Curry made 10 triples in a game for the fifth time this season, setting a new NBA single season record for most games with at least 10 threes. The Warriors had a five-point lead, , with 17.4 seconds left after two Curry free throws. Buddy Hield buried a 3-pointer and the Kings pulled within two, with 10.3 seconds remaining. Andre Iguodala was fouled with 7.4 seconds left and went to the free throw line but missed both attempts, as the Kings rebounded the second miss. Hield missed a turnaround shot attempt with 2.6 seconds and the Warriors secured the rebound to seal the win. For the second time this season all five Warriors starters scored in double figures. Kevin Durant scored 28 points and matched a career high with seven blocks. Klay Thompson added 18 points. The Kings had seven players score in double figures, led by Marvin Bagley III's 28 points and game-high 14 rebounds off the bench. Hield finished with 19 points and De'Aaron Fox had 18 points. Bogdan Bogdanovic (14 points), Harrison Barnes (13 points), Corey Brewer (11 points) and Willie Cauley-Stein (10 points) all scored at least 10 points for Sacramento. 9 TEAM NOTES KERR NAMED NBA WESTERN CONFERENCE COACH OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY On February 1, 2019, Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr was named NBA Western Conference Coach of the Month for games played in January. Kerr led the Warriors to a league-best 11-2 (.846) record, their 42nd consecutive month with a record of.500-or-better. During the month, Golden State led the league in points per game (127.4), field goal percentage (51.3), assists (33.3), blocks (6.9) and point differential (+14.0). Golden State won an NBA season-best 11-straight games from January 5-28, becoming just the second team in NBA history to compile a double-digit win streak in six consecutive campaigns (San Antonio Spurs, ). Additionally, the 11-game win streak marks the 12th double-digit win streak in Warriors franchise history, and ninth such streak in the last five seasons.
