Teams are also evaluated on their formation. Below is a short description thatt includes components of each element: Offensive Style of Play: o Alll teams are encouraged to play an offensive style based on keeping possession and quick movement of the ball. o Academy clubs are also rated on the technical, tactical, physical and psychosocial components relevant to the offensive style of play. Quick Transitions and Finishing: o Teams are evaluated on their speed of play, avoiding overdribbling, looking for organized and quick movements of the ball to reduce the number of passes needed to arrive at the target area, and finishing. Position Specific: o Teams are evaluated on defensive organization, keeping their specific positions in the formation. However, when evaluating attack, players must look for spacess and movements to support forward by moving away from their original positions. Formation: o Teams are expected to use a formation, either in its or variations, or may also use a formation with a diamond in the middle.
