1 MCC Baseball Game-by-Game Region XII Tournament May 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Owens CC The Jayhawk baseball season ended with a heartbreaking 4- loss to Owens CC in 14 innings at the NJCAA Region XII Tournament in Battle Creek on Thursday, May 14. MCC hurler Kyle Vedrode threw a masterful 10 innings, allow just one earned run and right hits, while striking out six Owens batters. Relief pitcher Joe Kostrzewa suffered the loss giving up the deciding run in three innings on the mound. Adrian Anderson batted 4- with an RBI and Robert Spencer was 2-5 with an RBI. The MCC squad finished the season with a 2-19 overall record. Region XII Tournament Second Game May :00 pm - :00 pm 4 Delta College 1 The MCC baseball squad broke open a 2-1 game with four runs in the eighth inning to defeat Delta College 5-1 in their second game of the Region XII Tournament at Battle Creek, MI on Wednesday, May 1. Pitcher Kyle Lawson imporved his season record to 9-2 by going the distance and allowed one earned run. He recorded 11 strikeout while allowing just five hits. Adrian Anderson went 2-4 with two RBI, a walk and a run. Dylan Brown, Reid Beffrey, Joe Kniss and Luke Bunting each had a hit. The Jayhawks are now Region XII Tournament First Game May TBD 5

2 Kellogg CC 1 In the NJCAA Region XII Tournament opener, Kellogg CC defeated the MCC baseball team -1 on Wednesday, May 1 in Battle Creek. The Jayhawks were held to two hits one each by Kyle Lawson and Parker Richardson. MCC pitcher Damon Proctor threw eight innings, allowing nine hits and three earned runs, while striking out six batters. The loss dropped his season win-loss mark to 8-. Baseball vs. KELLOGG CC May 4:00 pm - :00 pm Kelogg CC Muskegon Community College wrapped up the regular season with a 14-7 loss to Kellogg CC. Joe Kniss was -4 with a triple and and RBI. Kyle Lawson hit a grand slam home run and finished with 4 RBI s. Payton Tyndall suffered the loss. The Jayhawks finish the regular season overall and 1-10 in conference play. They start Regional play on Wednesday at Bailey Park in Battle Creek, MI. Baseball vs. KELLOGG CC May 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm 14 7 Kellogg CC 0 The Jayhawks were limited to hits in game 1. Luke Bunting, Adrian Anderson and Robert Spencer each had a hit. RJ Holwerda suffered the loss. Baseball vs. ANCILLA COLLEGE 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm 1

3 Ancilla College 1 The Jayhawks win both games in their double-header and qualify for the Regional XII Tournament on Wednesday, May 1 in Battle Creek. The Jayhawks beat Ancilla College 11-1 in five innings to punch their ticket to the 2015 NJCAA Region XII Tournament. Damon Proctor (7-) was the winning pitcher in game two throwing a hitter, striking out 5 in 5 innings. The offensive was rocking in game two with Kyle Lawson going 2- with a homer, a double, and RBI s. Jake Wagenmaker hit big for the Jayhawks batting 2 for 2 with a home run and scoring 2 RBI s. Luke Bunting and Robert Spencer added 2 hits apiece. Muskegon qualifies for the post-season Region XII tournament beginning next week in Battle Creek on Wednesday, May 1. Muskegon is overall, 1-8 in conference. The Jayhawks will play Kellogg CC at home on Thursday, May 7; first pitch is set for 2:00p.m. Baseball vs. ANCILLA COLLEGE 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 11 Ancilla College 1 The Jayhawks are two wins away from making the playoffs and Ancilla is the only thing between them. In a low scoring defensive game the Jayhawks found a way to win. If the Jayhawks win the second game of the double header they will play in the Regional Championship Tournament next week. Pitching for the Jayhawks was Kyle Vedrode, now (5-). Kyle threw a 2 hitter, striking out six for the win. A great game for the Jayhawks ace. The bats were quiet for most of the game, but came through when they were needed. Parker Richardson was 2- with a stolen base and Aaron Gilbert was 2-2 with a walk and a game winning RBI in the bottom of the th. The Jayhawks will play Kellogg CC at home on Thursday, May 7 to end their regular season. The Regional XII Tournament will be played in Battle Creek on Wednesday, May 1. 4 Damon Proctor pitched 7 innings and gave up only hits and 1 earned run but it wasn t enough to pick up a win in game 2. The Jayhawk offense left 9 runners on base. Adrian Anderson, Robert Spencer and Mitchell Reyes all had 2 hits and Reyes finished with stolen bases. Muskegon Community College is now 14-8 in the conference and 24-1 overall. They return home needing 2 wins in their final 4 games to qualify for regional play. JACKSON COLLEGE May 1:00 pm - :00 pm Jackson College Muskegon Community College traveled to take on Jackson College. The Jayhawks won game 1 in 9. Payton Tyndall picks up the win in relief of Kyle Lawson who lasted 7 & 1/ innings and Kyle Vedrode got the save. Luke Bunting finished the game -5, Jake Wagenmaker was 2-5 with RBIs and Adrian Anderson was 2-5 with 2 RBIs. KALAMAZOO VALLEY CC April 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm 7 Kalamazoo Valley CC The Jayhawks rebounded in game 2 for the 11- win over KVCC. Damon Proctor went the distance for the win (-2). Robert Spencer finished 4-4 with a double, Adrian Anderson was 2-4 with an RBI and Luke Bunting was 2-5 with RBIs. Muskegon Community College is now 22-1 overall and 1-7 in the conference. They need wins with games to go to qualify for the Regional Tournament. The Jayhawks return to the field on Saturday when they travel to Jackson College. KALAMAZOO VALLEY CC April 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 11 Kalamazoo Valley CC 7

5 Muskegon Community College could only manage hits in game 1 vs. Kalamazoo Valley CC. Ryan Beffrey finished with 2 singles and Reid Beffrey hit a run home run. Kyle Lawson suffered the loss to move him to 8-2. Baseball vs. DELTA COLLEGE April :00 pm - 5:00 pm Delta College 5 The Jayhawks led the entire game until the top of the 7th when Delta scored four runs to take the lead -4. Delta College would hold on to win -5. Rhett Holwerda (2-2) suffers the loss pitching innings and giving up 5 runs. The Jayhawks bats provided five runs but it wasn t enough for the win. Robert Spencer was 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Dylan Brown was 2-4 with two doubles and a RBI. The Jayhawks will play next Tuesday, April 28 at Kalamazoo Valley CC. The Jayhawks are now 21-1 overall, 12- in conference. Baseball vs. DELTA COLLEGE April 1:00 pm - :00 pm Delta College The Jayhawks beat Delta at home - with Kyle Vedrode (4-2) on the mound. Kyle gave up 5 hits, earned runs, and pitched a complete game. The Jayhawks had a few hot bats in today game which included Jake Wagenmaker who went - with a RBI and included two doubles. Aaron Gilbert was 2- with a RBI, while Mitchell Reyes went 2- also. The Jayhawks will play next Tuesday, April 28 at Kalamazoo Valley CC. The Jayhawks are now 21-1 overall, 12- in conference. 6 Grand Rapids CC In Game 2 Damon Proctor (5-2) went the distance for the win. He struck out 1, gave up 5 hits and no earned runs. Adrian Anderson finished 2- with a walk and an RBI and Robert Spencer was 1-2 with a sacrifice and an RBI. The Jayhawks are overall and 11-5 in the conference. They host Delta College on Saturday with a 1:00 pm start time. Baseball vs. GRAND RAPIDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE April 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 5 Grand Rapids CC 0 Kyle Lawson (8-1) picked up the win on the mound in game 1. He scattered hits and struck out 8 in the complete game shutout. Mitchell Reyes was 2- and Adrian Anderson was 1- with a walk and an RBI. MACOMB COMMUNITY COLLEGE April :00 pm - 5:00 pm 7 Macomb CC 4 Adrian Anderson was 4-4 with 2 doubles and Mitchell Reyes was 2-4 with a run home run but it wasn t enough as Muskegon Community College dropped game 2 to Macomb Community College. 7 2 Muskegon Community College could only manage hits in game 1 on Saturday at Macomb Community College. Joey Kniss finished the game 2-. Kyle Vedrode suffered the loss. MOTT COMMUNITY COLLEGE April 4:00 pm - :00 pm Mott CC The tables were reversed in game 2 as Mott CC won the nightcap. Robert Spencer was 2-4 and Jake Wagenmaker was 2- with 2 RBIs. The Jayhawks are now 9- in the conference and overall. They return to the field on Saturday at home vs. Macomb CC and they host Washtenaw CC on Sunday. Start time both days is 1:00 pm. MOTT COMMUNITY COLLEGE April 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 10 4 Mott CC Muskegon Community College traveled to Flint to take on Mott Community College in a conference double header. Kyle Lawson (-1) picked up the win, striking out 7 and scattering only hits over 2/ innings. The Jayhawks were led at the plat by Robert Spencer who was -5 with an RBI. Luke Bunting, Jake Wagenmaker and Ryan Beffrey were all 2-4 for the game. GLEN OAKS COMMUNITY COLLEGE April 4:00 pm - :00 pm 11 2 Glen Oaks CC

8 The Jayhawks finished one and one on the day against Glen Oaks CC. Jordan Wahr suffered the loss on the mound for the Jayhawks. At the plate Jake Wagenmaker and Aaron Gilbert were 1-2. A Rocky second inning, the Jayhawks gave up 5 runs on 2 errors. The Muskegon Jayhawks are now is 17-9 overall and 8-2 in conference. The Jayhawks play at Mott CC on Thursday, April 1 and Macomb CC on Saturday and Sunday, April 18/19 at home versus Washtenaw CC Club team. GLEN OAKS COMMUNITY COLLEGE April 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Glen Oaks CC 7 The Jayhawks win first of two games against Glen Oaks CC. Kyle Vedrode picked up his 2nd win scattering 8 hits, while Joe Kostrzewa picked up the save throwing 1 2/ scoreless innings. Reed Beffrey, Dylan Brown, and Jake Wagenmaker each had 2 hits, Wagenmaker also had 2 R.B.I. s. Adrian Anderson was 2-5 with 2 R.B.I. s. A seven run third inning helped us jump out front early and Kostrzewa shut the door late. The Muskegon Jayhawks are now 17-9 overall and 8-2 in conference. Muskegon plays at Mott CC on Thursday, April 1 and Macomb CC on Saturday & Sunday, April 18/19 at home versus Washtenaw CC Club team. HENRY FORD CC April :00 pm - 5:00 pm 9 Henry Ford CC 7 They Jayhawks got an 8 inning win in game 2. Luke Bunting and Adrian Anderson both finished the game with hits and Dylan Brown, Robert Spencer and Jake Wagenmaker each added 2 hits. Trevor Mosher picked up in the win in relief. 9 Henry Ford CC Muskegon Community College finished a 4 win weekend with a sweep of Henry Ford Community College. In game 1 the Jayhawks scored 11 runs in the th and 7th innings to break open a tight game. Luke Bunting led the hitters with hits. Robert Spencer, Adrian Anderson, Mitchell Reyes and Ryan Beffrey each collected 2 hits. Baseball vs. LANSING COMMUNITY COLLEGE April :00 pm - 5:00 pm 14 4 Lansing CC Muskegon Community College trailed the Lansing Stars -2 going into the bottom of the th but they scored runs to capture the second game of the double header. Adrian Anderson had 2 hits and RBI including the go ahead runs in the th. Joe Kostrzewa was the winner in relief and Damon Proctor got a save. The Jayhawks are now 14-8 overall and 5-2 in conference play. Baseball vs. LANSING COMMUNITY COLLEGE April 1:00 pm - :00 pm 5 Lansing CC 5 The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks picked up a double header sweep from Lansing CC on Saturday with scores of 15-5 and 5-. In game 1 the Jayhawks rebounded from a 2-0 deficit by scoring runs in the 4th and 4 runs in the 5th. Robert Spencer had 4 hits, Reid Beffrey picked up RBIs by hitting two bases loaded doubles and Aaron Gilbert hit a run homer. Trevor Mosher picked up the win on the mound in relief. ST. 10 St. Clair County CC The MCC baseball squad split its doubleheader against host St. Clair County CC on Saturday. The Jayhawks lost the first game 12-8 before taking the second game -. In the opener, the Jayhawks fell behind 8-0 but came back to close the gap to 8-5. Dylan Brown (Farwell, MI/Farwell), Reid Beffrey (Bay City, MI/John Glenn), Chad McClintock (Charlotte, MI/Charlotte), and Aaron Gilbert (Alma, MI/Alma) each had two hits. Beffrey had a home run and two RBI. In the second contest, Damon Proctor (Cheboygan, MI/Cheboygan) was the winning pitcher with Kyle Vedrode (Alma, MI/Alma) picking up a save. Robert Spencer had four hits and Luke Bunting (Ithaca, MI/Ithaca) and Aaron Gilbert each chipped in hits. Robert Spencer (Brighton, MI/Brighton) had two doubles. Parker Richardson (Muskegon, MI/Reeths Puffer) had three hits, while Kyle Lawson (Muskegon, MI/Mona Shores) was the winning pitcher. Adrian Anderson (North Muskegon, MI/North Muskegon), Reid Beffrey (Bay City, MI/John Glenn), and Chad McClintock (Charlotte, MI/Charlotte) each had two hits. Luke Bunting (Ithaca HS) led the hitters with hits and Robert Spencer (Brighton HS) chipped in 2 hits and 4 RBI. 13 Baseball vs. St. Joseph University JV March :00 pm - 5:00 pm St. Joseph's JV 5 The Muskegon Jayhawks swept a Doubleheader from visiting St. Joseph J.V. on Saturday by the scores of 12 to 4 and 7 to 5. Parker Richardson had two hits for the Jayhawks, who are now 5-4 overall. The second scheduled game was cancelled due to the cold. 15 College of Albermarle 2 The MCC baseball squad defeated the College of Albermarle -2 on Thursday, March 5, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Kyle Lawson (Muskegon, MI/Mona Shores) was the winning pitcher going the distance while scattering five hits and posting six strikeouts. Parker Richardson (Muskegon, MI/Reeths-Puffer) and Joey Kniss (Traverse City, MI/West) each had two hits for the Jayhawks. MCC s second game of the day against Westmoreland was rained out in the top of the 5th with MCC ahead 9-4. Now 5- overall, MCC completes its spring trip at The Ripken Experience on Friday. Baseball vs. Southeastern The Ripken Experience March :00 pm - 5:00 pm Southeastern CC 2 The MCC baseball squad split its doubleheader with Southeastern CC on Wednesday, March 5, losing the opener 14-8 before winning the second game 5-2 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
