1 September 2018 So? What s Next? Thanks!! I thought you would never ask. The Range Expansion Committee is in the planning stages of expanding our Trap/Skeet Range. The concept photo above represents a 1 st stab at identifying how many new Trap ranges we have room for as well as a possible location for another Skeet Range. This is not written in stone and we have some regulatory and financial hurtles to over come before this can become a reality. I just wanted to give you a peak at what we are looking at for the future. Due to Wetland Management Regulations we may only be able to do two ranges instead of three. Again, this is pending city, county and state approval as well as available funding. League Online Scoring Trap Shooting Those of you who shot the Tuesday Trap League may have noticed that we started our transition to Paperless league scores sheets. We will still be doing the paper score sheet in the team books and entering those scores into a single spreadsheet, but we will be publishing those scores on the Beaverbrook website in the News section of the

2 website. This will save the League Secretaries hours of work each week and allow us to get you the scores sooner. During this transition we will continue to pin the Team Standings and Shooter Average each week to the bulletin board, but next year may be the last year. If you have a computer, smart phone or ipad, you can access the scores from anywhere. Welcome to the future! Targets for Ta Tas Benefit Shoot This was the 5 th Annual Targets for Ta Tas Benefit shoot and the attendance continues to be impressive, but this year there was a 62% increase in revenue collected which really shows how Beaverbrook is supporting such a worthy cause. Thank you to those who attended. Annual Trap and Golf Benefit Shoot Beaverbrook along with Hidden Haven pulled off another great event this year with the Trap and Golf Benefit shoot. They raised over $3,000 this year. 11 Teams competed in two rounds of trap then moved over to Hidden Haven for 9 holes of Golf. The event was followed by Dinner and Awards at Hidden Haven. More fun is hard to find. The money goes to benefit High School Trap shooting Tuesday Summer Trap League It was a banner year for the Trap Leagues this year. We had 39 Teams competing in the Tuesday League with 322 shooters. Personally, I had a great summer league. I talked a group of Pistol Shooters from Twin Cities Action Shooters into forming a Trap League Team and this was our first year of shooting Trap together. We had a slow start but ended up taking 1 st Place in B Class. It was amazing to watch this team get better each week and when one person had an off night (usually me), the others compensated by shooting above their average. Here are the league results.

6 Wednesday Spring/Summer Trap League The Wednesday League had 20 teams that were divided in to A & B Division. Here are the Team Standings. Side Note: Hamtucky won the shoot off for 3 rd Place.

High School Trap Leagues We had three returning teams this year; Legacy Christian Academy, Concordia Academy and Maranatha Christian Academy. In addition, Andover High School moved their team to Beaverbrook this spring and Blaine High School started their Fall league at Beaverbrook. All though the weather was not very cooperative as shooting began in early April all the schools had a good season. It is a fabulous sight to have six trap fields filled with over 100 high school shooters..22 Pistol League. Season culminated with potluck on Aug 2 nd. 30 shooters and spouses participated. A short presentation of trophies took place, and comments about the opportunity to relax and enjoy some downtime were expressed. 10 Rifle Sight In The rifle sight in is going to be a little different this year as we are planning on using our new ranges and utilizing the old Rifle Range. MEMBERS! There will be ranges 10 P a g e

11 available to you, without charge, but any guests you bring will have to pay the rifle sightin price. Remember, immediate family members (Spouses, Children and Grandchildren under 21) are not guests, they are members. Check in at the Range Shack if you want to use the ranges as a member.
