The meeting was called to order by President Kevin Tolejko. The minutes of the last meeting were approved Sue, Rob Report of Officers President Kevin Tolejko - Don (Referee Assignor) Still in need more refs. Would like to hold a training after the season is over need approval. o Course cost is $120 plus mileage. o Motion by Jen, second by Rob, for 120 plus mileage - approved - Clearances/Licenses - Reminder o In-house Clearances (need only a few more coaches to upload theirs) o E Licenses need for Fall 2016 o All in house and u12 travel o Joe will talk to Cristine about hosting E License - Summer Soccer Camps o Stephen (Our 1 st YES Coach) June 27 th to June 30 th Ages: 6-12 Time: 9am 11am Cost: $20 per day or $70 week Ages: Time: 12 2pm Cost: $25 per day or $90 week Ages: Time: 5pm 7pm Cost: $30 per day or $100 week

2 o YES Summer Camp (like last year) August 1 st through 5th (Campers receive a ball & dri-fit jersey) Ages: 3-4 Time: 9am - 10am Cost: $55 Ages: 4-5 Time: 10am - 11:30am Cost: $65 Ages: 6-8 Time: 9am - 12pm Cost: $120 Ages: 9-14 Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm Cost: $120 o Jen, motion to approve both, Mike Altenhof - approved - YES coach for Fall 2016 o If we approve now, we can work with YES to possibly keep the same coach/coaches o Good, but the YES coaches don t show positions - Referee Abuse o From PA West ABUSE OF REFEREES What drives our referees out of officiating? IT IS ABUSE. Abuse by coaches, spectators and parents. This practice must stop and the adult referees MUST show an example to our younger referees that ABUSE will not be tolerated. WPA referees are to follow the guidelines listed below. Share these with your fellow referees before and after the game and reinforce that ABUSE will not be tolerated. 1. Prior to Game -- Referees inform both coaches that ABUSE will not be tolerated by the coaching staff, spectators or parents. If there is ABUSE, the game will be terminated. 2. If during the game, there are signs of abuse, inform the coach that the next outburst will result in termination. Do not speak directly with spectators. What is ABUSE? What are the signs as to when the referee should get involved? Not limited to: 1. Constant complaining from the bench. 2. Questioning every decision 3. Sarcastic remarks 4. Personal attacks-----send THE COACH OFF IMMEDIATELY 5. Gyrating actions

3 6. Kicking or throwing objects-----send THE COACH IMMEDIATELY 7. Unpleasant comments by the spectators or parents---- NOTIFY THE COACH THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED - LAST WARNING BEFORE TERMINATION 8. Personal attacks on any member of the officiating crew--terminate GAME IMMEDIATELY 9. If you are threatened in any way---terminate GAME IMMEDIATELY. STAY AS A TEAM AND CALL POLICE IF YOU STILL FEEL THREATENED. 10. File report 11. Practices/games are the same as U8) Currently U6 is $75.00 Currently U8 is $85.00 o In-House Jersey price increase to reflect our costs Increase to $25.00 per jersey

Did not move forward - Submitted PA West Grant o Possible $5,000 grant o Won t know until June o - Attending College Square Day o April 30 th 11 to 1pm o Jen going - Website Spirit Wear Sales o Received orders o New shirt designs on website - Mandatory Volunteer Payment ($30.00 per child) o Payment would be due at time of registration. o Sign-ups for volunteer opportunities will be posted to the website and sign-up forms will be at the field the first two weeks of practices. o Once a parent sign ups and shows up for their time, their $30 will be reimbursed. If a parent signs up and does not show up their money will not be refunded. o Families with multiple children would need to volunteer for multiple hours to receive each child s payment back. o To receive your money back you would need to volunteer at one of the following: - Wendy s Night (1-hour time slots) - Car Wash (1-hour time slots) - Coach a Team (Must have Clearances, License, and a team rostered) - Assistant Coach (Must have Clearances, License, and a team rostered) - Sell a sponsorship (Any Level)

7 Approved Motions July 20 th, ) A Roster Committee consisting for the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Registrar will determine what travel teams will be declared to PA-West. 2.) For teams with a maximum roster size of 22 (18 active, 4 inactive), all 22 positions shall be filled if possible. 3.) For teams with a maximum roster size of 22 (18 active, 4 inactive), players shall take turns being active and inactive during the regular season. The coach may ask players if they would like to pick a game to sit out. If no player volunteers, the coach may select what player will sit out. Every player must sit out one game before a player sits out a second game. 4.) For teams with a maximum roster size of 22 (18 active, 4 inactive), eligibility for the active roster spots in a tournament shall be filled by BTBSA sign up date of the players. 5.) Parent or player requests to play up must be reviewed and reviewed by the Roster Committee before the player is allowed to play up 6.) Once players are placed on a roster, the players cannot be moved to another roster without discussion with the coaches from both teams affected and the Roster Committee. 7.) It is not permitted for a coach to encourage a player to play up without permission from the Roster Committee and the other coach. 8.) Players shall not be moved up an age group if it will leave the team in the lower age group with not enough players to compete. The Roster Committee will determine what the minimum size per roster should be. 9.) If more than one team exists in a particular age group, players may request to play for a particular coach. Requests will be honored based on the date the player signed up. The Roster Committee may balance teams based on number of players or the quality of the players.
