The Red Hawks are scoring 78.0 points while allowing 82.4 points per game. Talk About Efficiency St. Norbert scored on 14-of-16 possessions to end the game against UW-Platteville. Combined with the first ten minutes of the first half against Beloit, St. Norbert scored on a total of 25-of-30 possessions. Top Ranked Talk St. Norbert beat No.1-ranked UW-Platteville on Dec. 30. It was the first time in school history in any sport St. Norbert beat a top-ranked opponent. The win was also the first time a Midwest Conference team beat a No. 1-ranked opponent in men s basketball. It also marked the first time St. Norbert beat a ranked opponent since 2005 when the Green Knights defeated No. 10-ranked Lawrence. Two Against the WIAC With St. Norbert s win against UW-Platteville, it was the first time since that the Green Knights won two games against a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association school in a single season. St. Norbert beat UW-Oshkosh in the season opener. Let s Go Streaking St. Norbert is currently on a eight-game winning streak which is the longest winning streak since the season, when the Green Knights rattled off 16 straight victories. Unsung Hero John Taylor had a tremendous game against UW-Platteville. The sophomore guard scored five of his seven points in the final 4:57, including the free-throw to make the score Along with his offensive output down the stretch, Taylor dished out a career high eight assists and had two steals. On the year, Taylor has 29 assists to only 10 turnovers. Giant Killer Nicolet National Bank Holiday Classic MVP Tom Katzfey scored 15 points against UW-Platteville. More importantly, Katzfey held d3hoops.com preseason All-American Jeff Skemp to three points on 1-of-5 shooting and only one rebound.
