2 About the Team In the last 13 years, the Aggies have elevated themselves into one of the top Division III programs in the country as they have a record during that span. They have captured six Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championships, three Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championships and one MAC-Centennial Bowl Series title, and have made six trips to the NCAA Division III playoffs, including a pair of quarterfinal appearances. The NCAA quarterfinal showings took place in 2004 and 2005 as the Aggies finished each season with a 12-1 overall record and MAC titles (going outright in They then advanced to the second round of the NCAA playoffs. The team made it three straight conference titles in 2010 and they once again reached the second round (final 16) in the playoffs. In 2011, the Aggies entered the campaign with just one starter back on offense but produced an undefeated regular-season, capped by a triumph overarchrival Widener University to seal the outright MAC crown and NCAA berth. They notched 62 points in their first-round victory before falling in the second round of the playoffs. undefeated in conference play each season). In 2015, despite having 20 new starters on the field Delaware Valley won four straight MAC crowns from 2008 to 2011, just one of four schools in conference history to accomplish the feat. In 2008, the squad upset the No. 3 and 6 teams during the regular season and shared the conference crown. They then went on to the win the ECAC South Atlantic Bowl. The Aggies were (including all 11 on offense), Delaware Valley finished 9-2 overall (7-2 MAC) and came in second place in the MAC standings. The Aggies earned their 12th postseason berth in the last 13 seasons and defeated Moravian College, in the inaugural MAC-Centennial Bowl Series. a perfect 7-0 in conference play as they won the title
3 Head Coach Duke Greco Duke Greco enters his third season at the helm of the Aggies football program in Last year, Greco led DelVal to a 9-2 overall mark and a second place finish in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) with a 7-2 record. The Aggies made their 12th postseason appearance in the last 13 campaigns and defeated Moravian College, in the inaugural MAC-Centennial Bowl Series. All of this came with 20 new starters on the field, including all 11 on offense (seven defense, two kickers). Fourteen Aggies received all-mac honors, including Rashaad Lighty, who went on to earn D3football.com All-America first team accolades. Greco had quite a first year as head coach at Delaware Valley as he led the 2014 edition to a 9-0 start and a berth and home game in the NCAA Division III playoffs. He was named as the head coach following an 11-year stint as an assistant coach at his alma mater, including eight as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator. The 2014 squad set a number of offensive records, including four straight games of 50 or more points. The team played for the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship in the final game of the regular season and hosted Christopher Newport in the NCAAs. Eleven players were named to the all-conference team, including wide receiver Rasheed Bailey, who was the MAC Offensive Player of the Year. Bailey was named to three separate All-America Teams and later signed a free agent contract with the NFL s Philadelphia Eagles. Greco also had an All-American in tailback Chris Smallwood. In Greco s eight years as the offensive coordinator at Delaware Valley, the Aggies won four MAC championships and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs three times. The four MAC titles were from 2008 to 2011 as Delaware Valley was one of just five football teams in the 100-year history of the conference to notch four or more consecutive championships. They also captured a pair of Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Bowl championships was, perhaps, Greco s greatest challenge as he had to replace nearly the entire starting offensive unit, including the quarterback, running back, two wide receivers and four offensive linemen. He worked a rookie quarterback into the system from day one and Delaware Valley went on to average 35 points and nearly 440 yards per game. Four players earned all-mac honors, including quarterback Aaron Wilmer who was also named the MAC Rookie of the Year. Greco first joined the staff after finishing his playing days as one of Delaware Valley s all-time leading passers. Despite playing just 20 games at quarterback (he started his career as a defensive back), Greco graduated as the school s second alltime leading passer with 299 completions, 3,974 yards and 41 touchdowns. Greco earned second team all-mac honors in 2001 as he shattered all Delaware Valley single-season records with 2,405 yards and 28 touchdowns (since broken). His 369 yards in a loss to Lebanon Valley was the second-highest, single-game total at the time and it still stands fourth on the list. Greco was also a threat to run and finished the 01 campaign with 172 yards and a team-best five rushing touchdowns. Greco At A Glance years: 18-4 About DelVal Delaware Valley University, located in picturesque Doylestown, Pa., is an independent, interdisciplinary college featuring individualized attention, small class sizes and an applied as well as theoretical approach to learning. 5 Rasheed Bailey: Pro Athlete Delaware Valley University standout wide receiver and 2015 graduate Rasheed Bailey finds himself amongst the professional ranks in the National Football League after leaving Doylestown. Most recently, he was a member of the San Diego Chargers training camp roster. Bailey played in the final two games of the 2016 preseason for the Bolts before being waived due to injury. Bailey was part of the Jacksonville Jaguars organization from October 2015 until August 2016 after signing to its practice squad. In his first week with the Jaguars, he flew with the team to London, England for their game against the Buffalo Bills. After his release from Jacksonville, Bailey quickly found his way to Southern California. Prior to his stint in the Sunshine State, Bailey was invited to preseason camp with his hometown Philadelphia Eagles and he shined in the summer of 2015, catching 10 passes for 100 yards, including a touchdown reception from quarterback Tim Tebow in the team s final preseason game against the New York Jets. He made it all the way to the end of camp, but was cut prior to the beginning of the regular season. Bailey then spent two weeks on the practice squad with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) before signing with Jacksonville. One of the top players in Delaware Valley football history, Bailey finished his four years with the Aggies with 165 catches (third in school history) for a school-record 3,138 yards and 29 touchdowns (second). In 2014 alone when he was on three separate All-America Teams, Bailey hauled in 80 passes for 1,707 yards and 19 touchdowns all school records. The yardage and touchdown totals, as well as his average of yards per game, led all of Division III. Bailey set or tied single-game Aggie marks during the year for receptions (11), yards (252) and touchdowns (4 twice).
