1 2009 AAU GIRLS BASKETBALL SUPER REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SOUTHERN PREMIER HOOPS ATLANTA, GA QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS AAU MEMBERSHIP: All participants and coaches must be members of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) for the current year. Membership can be obtained at or from your local AAU District Office. DATES: April 2nd 4th, 2010 LOCATION: The Summit at All Tournament Players Park (Four court facility) Kell High School (Two court facility) AGE DIVISIONS: 11U/6 th 12U/7 th 13U/8 th 14U/9 th ENTRY FEE: $ Send ENTRY FORM with $300 Entry Fee by Overnight Mail (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, etc.) to: Southern Premier Hoops PO Box 6 State Park, SC ENTRY DEADLINE: March 19 th, 2010 RULES OF PLAY: PLAYER ROSTER: REGISTRATION: NCAA Women s Basketball Rules. AAU rules allow a maximum of 15 players and 4 coaches. All players must show their current AAU membership card. Please have a copy of a legal BIRTH CERTIFICATE on hand in case there is a challenge regarding a player s age. We do NOT need to see the birth certificate at registration. Please register 1 hour prior to your first game at The Summit at All Tournament Players Park. Note: Adhering to the above deadline will simplify the on site check in process. Otherwise, you may experience delays. UNIFORMS: The top team in the game brackets, or first team listed in pool pairings, will be the HOME team and shall wear white or light colored uniforms. The bottom team, or second team listed in pool pairings, will be the VISITING team and shall wear dark uniforms. Please bring both uniforms in case of any problems. The Home team shall sit to the official scorer's left and take the opposite basket for pre game, warm up, and first half play. ELIGIBILITY: Any questions pertaining to the eligibility of a player or team shall be directed to the National Chair or his designee in attendance. Southern Premier Hoops, LLC. 1

2 PROTESTS: AWARDS: NCAA Women's Basketball Rules DO NOT recognize or allow protests. (The same policy applies to the AAU Girls Basketball program.) AAU medals and trophies will be awarded to first (1) and second (2) place teams. AUTOMATIC QUALIFICATION: NUMBER OF TEAMS PER AGE DIVISION IN SUPER REGIONAL 0 3 Teams 1 DI bid, 1 DII bid, and 1 DIII bid 4 6 Teams 2 DI bids, 2 DII bids, and 2 DIII bids 7 9 Teams 3 DI bids, 3 DII bids, and 3 DIII bids 10 or more Teams 4 DI bids, 4 DII bids, and 4 DIII bids Teams that receive the invitation to the National tournament MUST play in their District Qualifying Tournament (DQT) to retain their invitation. Teams that receive the invitation to the National tournament and is unable to participate in the District must submit a documented request to the Girls Executive committee, who will determine if the team is eligible to use the invitation If a team receives a Super Regional Bid and a DQT, the team has the choice of determining which bid it shall use to advance to the Division I National Championship. Please note that a DQT bid will be seeded at the National Championships. If the team chooses the DQT, the Super Regional Bid reverts to the Super Regional and rolls down to the next highest placing team without a bid (not to roll down below 4 th place). From Airport/Hartsfield Jackson International: Take I-85 North towards Atlanta for 13.4 miles. Merge onto I-75 North (lanes to 75 ramp off to the right for regular traffic, commuter* lane on far left will also ramp to I-75 north). Stay on I-75 north for 16 miles. Go one mile and park is on the left. From South (I-75 and I-285): Take I-75 North for 9 miles. Exit onto I-575 North (2 right lanes) towards Canton. Take exit 3/ Chastain Road. Turn Right onto Chastain and travel 2.4 miles to Canton Rd. turn left onto Canton Rd. / Hwy. 5. Go one mile and park is on the left. From North (I-75 and Tennessee): Take I-75 South. Take exit 271/Chastain Rd. turn left onto Chastain Rd. Go approximately 3.1 miles. Turn left onto Canton rd. /Hwy 5. Go 1 mile and park is on the right.
