FSU has won 12 of its last 13 meetings with the Hokies, and owns a 9-6 all-time record in Blacksburg. A win over Virginia Tech would extend FSU s AP Top 25 record this season to 6-1. If the Seminoles can earn their sixth Top 25 win on Sunday, it would tie for the most in a season with the squad. FSU has won five straight AP Top 25 matchups (vs. #25 Gonzaga ; #23 Florida ; at #11 Miami ; #13 Duke ; #9 Louisville ). The Seminoles own 50 all-time AP Top 25 victories, with head coach Sue Semrau owning 37 of the 50 (74 percent) since taking over as head coach in the season. Of the 50 total wins, nine have come on the road. FSU has one AP Top 25 road win at Virginia Tech, winning in double overtime against the 23rd-ranked Hokies on Jan. 24, Junior forward Shakayla Thomas is averaging 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and is shooting 68.6 percent (24-of- 35) in three games played against Virginia Tech. Last season, Thomas recorded 22 points (8-of-14) in a win over the Hokies. Florida State is 6-0 this season in road games. FSU boasts a scoring margin in its six matchups on the road ( ). Senior Ivey Slaughter leads the Seminoles in road scoring at 11.2 points per game. Head Coach Sue Semrau will coach in her 300th career ACC game on Sunday afternoon against Virginia Tech. Florida State continues to lead the ACC with a 6-1 conference record. It marks the third consecutive year that FSU has started 6-1 in the ACC. Since the season, the Seminoles are 33-6 in conference play. The Seminoles enter Sunday s matchup with Virginia Tech leading the conference both in scoring offense (76.6 points per game) and scoring defense (58.3 points allowed) in ACC play. FSU also leads the conference in scoring margin, including a point advantage in conference play. 1

2 2 Florida State ranks sixth in the latest 6 RPI, boasting a strong 6-2 record against the current RPI Top 50. Virginia Tech enters Sunday s game with the 25th RPI nationally. The Seminoles five AP Top 25 5 wins are tied for the second-most nationally. UConn leads the way with eight wins, while Baylor is tied for second with five. Over the last two games against Clemson (47-14) and Syracuse (45-20), Florida State has entered halftime with a combined score of FSU has led at the half in 19 of 20 games this season. Redshirt junior guard Imani Wright 19 is fourth in the conference with 19 made 3-point field goals in ACC play. Wright averages 2.7 made 3 s per game in conference play. While tying for the best 20-game 11 start in school history, FSU has gone 18-2 against the 11th-hardest schedule in the country so far ( record,.652 win percentage). Over its last 20 road games in 16-4 ACC play, Florida State is FSU has won four consecutive road games in conference play, including all three this season. Senior point guard Leticia Romero 56.3 leads the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (36-of-64; 56.3 percent). She is also shooting 53.8 percent from downtown in conference play. NUMBERS AND NOTES RANDOM FACTS Florida State continues to excel off the bench, averaging 25.4 bench points per game. FSU is outscoring opponents off the bench (+9.6). Florida State is Top five nationally in offensive points per possession (fifth - 1.1) along with being fifth in defensive points per possession (0.744). Only Baylor is the other school in the Top five in both categories. Junior forward Shakayla Thomas is averaging 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in FSU s six AP Top 25 games this season. Senior guard Brittany Brown now has a school-record 286 career steals. She moves into a tie for 24th on the ACC s career list. Brown is looking to become just the 19th player in ACC history to reach 300 steals. Florida State does not have a single player who ranks in the Top 30 in the ACC in minutes played per game. Senior guard Brittany Brown leads the team with 28.1 minutes per game. Last game against Syracuse, FSU recorded 22 assists on 29 made field goals, its highest assist percentage this season (75.8 percent). The current senior class of Brittany Brown, Ivey Slaughter, Kai James and Leticia Romero is currently The group needs just three wins to break the record of 98 wins held by both the 2010 and 2011 senior classes. Through its first 20 games played, FSU has yet to allow a team to shoot 50 percent or better from the floor. Earned the 2015 Associated Press, WBCA and espnw National Coach of the Year awards. Has guided FSU to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, including 11 in the past 12 seasons. Led Florida State to two NCAA Elite Eight appearances (2010; 2015), four NCAA Sweet 16s (2007, 2010, 2015, 2016) and two ACC regularseason championships (2009, 2010). Coach Sue s 391 career wins more than doubles the second-winningest coach in FSU history. Four-time ACC Coach of the Year (2001, 2005, 2009, 2015), which is the most among active ACC coaches. Inherited a program that had a combined record (.241) in its previous four seasons, including an 18-game losing streak vs. ACC opponents. Has 37 AP Top 25 wins.
