2 Iceless Hockey $45 Calling all you Blackhawks Fans out there! All the action of hockey on a floor! This class is for both the experienced player and the beginner. This fast paced, low competition class will promote shooting, passing, teamwork, positions, and some game strategies. We provide the sticks and pucks; safety goggles and mouth guards are recommended but not necessary. Wednesday (5 weeks) Date: 01/24-02/21 Time: 5:00-5:50 Ages: 4-6 Time: 6:00-7:00 Ages 7-9 Min/Max 6/16 Location: Lakefront Building (71 Nippersink Blvd. Fox Lake IL 60020) Indoor Lil pint Soccer $45 Kick in some excitement with this instructional soccer program. With the use of smaller sized soccer balls, players will learn the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, and goaltending. Instructors will work with participants on good sportsmanship, participation, and teamwork. This is a great class for both boys and girls! ~ Games will be played at the end of each class. Date: 01/26-02/23 03/09-04/13* Ages: 3-4 Time: 4:30-5:20 Ages: 5-6 Time: 5:30-6:20 *No class 3/30 Indoor Soccer/Speed and Agility Training $45 Join us for a non-competitive, skill development program. We will go over the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, goal tending, and positions. There will be weekly progress on the technical aspects of the game. Our speed and agility training session is built to make our participants faster, stronger, and more agile athletes. We use SKLZ equipment for our class which is highly recommended by multiple coaches and trainers. ~ Games are played at the end of each class. Date: 01/26-02/23 03/09-04/13* Ages: 7-9 Time: 6:30-7:30 *No class 3/30
3 Lil Pint Hoops $45 Slam dunk fun in this pint-sized class. With the use of age appropriate equipment, participants will start building the fundamentals for simple drills. Participants will learn skills in passing, shooting, dribbling, and rules of each class. Wednesday (5 weeks) the game. Teamwork, participation, and good sportsmanship are all stressed throughout the class. ~Games will be played at the end of Dates: 03/07-04/11* Time: 5:30-6:20 Ages: 4 6 Min/Max 6/20 *No class 3/28 Basketball/Speed & Agility $45 This 5-week basketball class will help you to the next level. We will enhance the basics you may have learned, along with advancing your skills that will concentrate on more teamwork and game strategies. Our speed and agility training session is built to make our participants faster, stronger, and more agile athletes. We use SKLZ equipment, ladders, hurdles and cones. Be the fastest kid on the court! A scrimmage game will be played at the end of each class. Wednesday (5 weeks) Dates: 03/07-04/11* Time: 6:30-7:30 Ages: 7 9 Min/Max 6/20 *No class 3/28 Lil Pint Baseball Camp $50 Bases will be loaded with incredible excitement and fun-filled activities to get your child on deck with the game of baseball. In this non-competitive environment, children will have a ball learning how to hit off a tee, running bases, playing catch, as well as having opportunity to learn various field positions. Participants should bring their own glove for familiarity. Parent participant welcomed. ~A game will be played at the end of each class. Wednesday (6 weeks) Date: 04/25-05/30 06/13-07/25* Time: 4:30-5:20 Ages: 3 5 Min/Max 6/16 Location: Lake Front Park/Bldg. (71 Nippersink Blvd. Fox Lake IL 60020) *No class on 7/4 Basketball/Training Camp $50 This basketball camp will advance your basketball skills and get you ready for the next season. Offensive and defensive strategies will be covered thoroughly. Most of the camp will be playing basketball and working on improving your basketball skills. Camps will be taught by skilled basketball players. Be the fastest kid on the court! Our training session is built to make our participants faster, stronger, and more agile athletes. We use SKLZ equipment, ladders, hurdles and more for our class which is highly recommended by multiple coaches and trainers. 4 Sand Volleyball Camp $50 Bump, Set, SPIKE! These and other skills are learned in this camp for both boys and girls. This volleyball camp will provide boys & girls with instruction and training in the skills of passing, setting, attacking, serving and defense. Drills and games will be used to put these skills to practice. Game strategy is worked in and of course, teamwork, participation, and good sportsmanship are our top priorities! A game is played at the end of each class. This class will be held outside. Please bring a water bottle to class. Wednesday (6 weeks) Date: 06/13-07/25* Time: 5:30 6:30 Ages: 7 9 Time: 7:30-8:30 Ages: Min/Max 8/16 Location: Lake Front Park *outdoors (71 Nippersink Blvd. Fox Lake IL 60020) *No class 7/4 Lil pint Soccer Camp $45 Kick in some excitement with this instructional soccer program. 5 Go Girl Go! Sports & Craft Camp $60 Life is tough, especially for girls trying to make it in the world of sports. This camp is a great way to introduce basketball, soccer, kickball, t-ball and much more in an all-girl environment. Basic skills in all sports are taught, and games are played at the end of each class. The girls will do sports for the first half of the camp and do a fun craft for the second half. The last class will be a fun sport of their choice along a fun tie-dye project. Please bring a water bottle. Monday Thursday (4 day camp) Date: 07/16 07/19 Time: 9:30 11:00 Ages: 5-7 Location: Lakefront Park/Bldg. Participants and parents registering their child in recreation programs must recognize, however, that there is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to participate in recreation activities. The Fox Lake Department of Parks & Recreation continually strives to reduce such risks and insists that all participants follow safety rules and instructions, which have been designed to protect the participant s safety. Please recognize that the Fox Lake Department of Parks & Recreation does not carry medical accident Insurance for injuries sustained in its programs. The cost of such would make program fees prohibitive. Therefore, each person registering themselves or a family member for a recreation program/activity should review their own health insurance policy for coverage. It must be noted that the absence of health insurance coverage does not make the Fox Lake Department of Parks & Recreation automatically responsible for the payment of medical expenses. Due to the difficulty and high cost of obtaining liability insurance, the agency providing liability coverage for the Department requires the execution of the following Waiver and Release. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Waiver and Release of All Claims Please read this form carefully and be aware in registering yourself or your minor child(ren) for participation in the above program, you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries you and your minor child(ren) might sustain arising out of the above program. I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in the above program and I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages or loss regardless of severity which my minor child(ren) or I may sustain as a result of participating in and all activities connected with or associated with such programs. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims my minor child(ren) or I may have as a result of participating in the program against the Department and its officers, agents, servants and employees. I do hereby fully release and discharge the Department and its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, damage or loss, which I or my minor child(ren) may have which may accrue to me or my minor child(ren) and arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the activities of the program.
