LAST TIME OUT Utah became the only Pac-12 team to earn a weekly road sweep for the second time this season, after downing the Washington State Cougars, 77-70, at Beasley Coliseum this past Saturday evening. Utah, who downed Washington earlier in the week, swept a pair of road victories again, after also doing so against both Oregon schools earlier in the season. Justin Bibbins led a trio of double-digit scorers for the Utes, closing the game with 24 points, which included an 8-of-8 effort from the free throw line. Gabe Bealer tied a career-high with six three-pointers and finished the game with 18 points - just two points shy of his career-high. Tyler Rawson poured in 15 points and pulled down a career-high 15 boards for this second straight double-double. Utah shot 50 percent from the field, while limiting the Cougars to just a 36 percent shooting effort overall. The Utes have now tallied at least 50 percent shooting in seven games this season. SCOUTING UCLA The Bruins are coming off wins over both Oregon schools this past weekend, having downed Oregon State, 75-68, and Oregon, The Bruins lost an 11-point lead against the Ducks and then needed overtime to win, but in doing so, UCLA managed to split the season series against Oregon. UCLA has now won two straight and six of its last seven games dating back to Jan. 25. The Bruins opened Pac-12 play THE WEEK AHEAD UTAH (17-9, 9-6) VS. UCLA (19-8, 10-5) THURSDAY, FEB P.M. Rawson has now tallied a team-high three double-doubles overall on the season. Justin Bibbins registered back-to-back double-doubles earlier in the season, irconically enough, at home against both UW (20 points, 10 rebounds) and WSU (13 points, 12 assists). RAWSON ON THE REBOUND Tyler Rawson is coming off a 15-rebound performance against Washington State. The 15 boards were a new career-high for the senior, as he surpassed his previous high of 12 rebounds that he recorded last season in a home win over Coppin State back on Nov. 18, Rawson leads Utah with 175 total rebounds and a 6.7 rebounds per game average. DISHING WITH RAWSON? In addition to his double-digit scoring (10.9 ppg), his team-leading 175 total rebounds and his team-leading 29 blocked shots, Tyler Rawson can also dish out some dimes. Rawson, a forward for the Utes, currently ranks second on the team with 104 total assists. His 4.0 assists per game average ranks ninth in the Pac-12 and 172nd in the nation. Not only does Rawson rank among the top-10 in the league, but he is the only forward in the league ranked among the top-10 in assists. In fact, he also ranks above many Pac-12 guards, including: Arizona State s Tra Holder (3.8), Washington s David Crisp (3.3) and Oregon State s Stephen Thompson, Jr. (3.3). COLLETTE HOT FROM THE FIELD David Collette is shooting a blistering 78.4 percent from the field over the last five games for the Utes. He is 29-of-37 from the field in his past five games overall and 26-of-31 (.839) in Utah s current four-game winning streak. His hot shooting included a stretch where he made 12 straight field goal attempts in both Stanford and California games combined. Collette is shooting a team-best 61.8 percent on the season, which also ranks second in the Pac-12 and No. 14 overall in the nation. #BLOCKU Utah registered a season-high 10 blocked shots in its win over Stanford back on Feb. 8. It marked the first time since Nov. 27, 2015, that a Utah team registered at least 10 blocks in a game (10, vs. Idaho State). Jayce Johnson and David Collette both tied career-highs with three blocks each, while Chris Seeley set a new career-high with two blocked shots in the game. Johnson totaled three blocks for the third time in his career, while Collette tallied three blocked shots in a game for the fifth time in his career. CLUB HOPPING Justin Bibbins and David Collette both became members of the 1,000-point club this season. Bibbins registered his 1,000th career point on Dec. 20, 2017, when he scored 25 points in Utah s win over Northwestern State. Bibbins tallied 870 career points in three years at Long Beach State and now has 369 points with the Utes, for a career total of 1,239 points. Collette eclipsed the 1,000 career-point mark against Washington on Feb. 15, 2018, with 22 points in a win over the Huskies. Collette has tallied 619 career points with the Utes. In addition to the 397 points he tallied a Utah State, Collette now has a career-total of 1,016 points. DOWNTOWN WITH BIBBINS Justin Bibbins leads the team with 70 three-pointers made on the season. He has also tallied a team-best 44.6 percent from beyond the arc. The senior ranks second in the league and 85th in the nation with 2.69 three-pointers made per game. He also ranks second in the Pac-12 with his 70 three-pointers made and first in the league with his.446 three-point shooting percentage. Bibbins is on pace to finish the regular season with 80 three-pointers made, which would be among the top-six all-time in school history. Nick Jacobson s total of 99 three-pointers is the single-season school record, which was set back in RAINING THREES Utah has already knocked down 242 three-pointers on the season, which averages out to 9.3 three-pointers per game. The Utes have drained at least 10 three-pointers in 13 of 26 games this season and is on pace to finish the regular season with a total of 266 made threepointers.
