2 tour schedule The Harlem Ambassadors have performed in 48 states and 19 foreign countries. We are the leading provider of entertainment to the U.S. military and have performed at over 110 bases worldwide. Highest elevation show basketball game: Leadville, Colorado, 10,152 feet above sea level; Feb. 3, Southern-most show basketball game in Continental United States: Key West, Florida, degrees north latitude; multiple games, most recent Feb. 29, Western-most show basketball game in United States: Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kekaha, Island of Kauai, State of Hawaii, degrees west longitude; multiple games, most recent, June 16, GAME ORGANIZER S GUIDELINES Secure a gymnasium to hold the Harlem Ambassadors event Assemble a challenging team to play against the Harlem Ambassadors (players must be 19 years of age or older) Provide $500 deposit to Harlem Ambassadors to hold your game date. Additional $500 deposit is due 90 days prior to game date. Balance of $3,400 is not due until just before the event. Get six hotel rooms for Harlem Ambassadors for night of the event Arrange for a post-game meal for Harlem Ambassadors (home cooking is great!) TIPS FOR GETTING BUSINESS SUPPORT FOR YOUR EVENT Seldom will a school or college charge a rental fee to a community organization for gym usage. If they do, your organization can offer the concession rights (food and beverage) to the school or booster club in exchange for the gym usage. Arrange for 20 players to play on your challenging team. Each player arranges to be sponsored by a local business for $220. This system covers the Harlem Ambassadors appearance fee before the first ticket is even sold! Ask a local hotel to be a sponsor in exchange for providing the rooms for the Harlem Ambassadors. Harlem Ambassador ticket prices are usually between $5 and $8, making an evening s entertainment with the Ambassadors affordable for every family. Closer Proximity to the Action Harlem Ambassadors generally perform in intimate high school and small college facilities which provide the fans greater interaction with the players, as opposed to huge college and major city arenas which leave spectators far away from the action. A Woman is the Star of the Show With a growing number of young girls participating in sports, the Harlem Ambassadors feature a dynamic woman role model as the star of the show. She encourages and motivates girls with an Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better theme. Post-Game Autograph Session The Ambassadors conduct a post-game autograph session where every child and fan has the opportunity to meet every player. There is no time limit. Different Opponent Each Night The Ambassadors give your local celebrities and prominent citizens the opportunity to play against professionals! This gives a wonderful local flavor to our performances, rather than performing game after game against the same opposing stooge team. More Spontaneous! Giving the same show, night after night, some other show basketball performances are more choreographed. With opponents who haven t been pre-arranged, an Ambassadors game offers more spontaneous improvisational humor. You never know what to expect each game! Benefit Your Community The Ambassadors game is designed to benefit worthy community organizations, so the money fans spend on tickets stays right in your own community. Harlem Ambassadors are Drug-Free! All Harlem Ambassadors players are drug tested to assure credibility in our Stay in School, Stay off Drugs message. No other show basketball team makes that claim. Genuine Promotional Appearances Some other basketball shows have a separate crew of players doing promotional appearances. The same Ambassador players performing in your local game are also available to perform promotional and school appearances in your community.* Harlem Ambassadors are New and Fresh! 4 Of the many activities Abilene Habitat for Humanity has undertaken in the past, none has been more pleasurable and financially rewarding to our organization than the two visits the Harlem Ambassadors have made to our town. Not only has your team allowed us to provide a fun-filled evening of family entertainment, but the Harlem Ambassador events have turned out to be an excellent vehicle in promoting our organization in the community. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE HARLEM AMBASSADORS BASKETBALL SHOW Book the team follow the directions enjoy the event and count the money. An added blessing was the fact that we raised triple the amount of money than we originally anticipated. We still expect more ticket money to come in, but so far we have raised over $14,000.00! Their interaction with the crowd was outstanding and since Hobbs is a basketball town their talent on the court was evident to everyone. The final score? Yes, there was a final score! The Harlem Ambassadors won over the citizens of Franklin County and impacted a lot of lives, young and old alike. Their brief two hour visit has made a lasting impression, and although the FCHS gym will once again return to normal, those of us who came and saw and played and danced and laughed till we cried, may never be the same again.
