17 CHINYERE BELL Forward 6-0 Junior Fayetteville, N.C./South View (George Mason) Coach Barefoot Says: Chinyere is an incredible post player for us who has good strength and good feet. She also has good hands and a good basketball IQ. When you look at what she was able to do in high school, she started off as a point guard. As a post player, she has the ability to do it all. She will not make a lot of mistakes because she understands the game. She fits the system well because we want to go inside. She is working hard to be ready to play for us in December. 19 REBEKAH BANKS Center 6-1 Senior Durham, N.C./Cary Academy Coach Barefoot Says: Rebekah is a strong rebounder and someone who understands that it s not always the first shot that s important, but it s the second or third shot and that is what will help us stay in games this year. She led the team in rebounding last year and I could easily see her averaging 10 rebounds per game and leading the CAA. One of her biggest strengths is setting screens and that will help our scorers get open. Her ability to rebound and screen is going to help us this year. She is getting better every day and is someone you can trust to go out there and play a few minutes. She doesn t let anything rattle her and she is very tough. She came from a winning program that went to the state finals. Everyone on the team loves her and she is scrappy. She does the little things really well and that helps your team not miss a beat.
