1 Paw Print March 30, 2018 Maintaining the Momentum Greetings Wallingford Wildcat Families! We had a great time last Friday celebrating our 1st grade teacher who will be having a baby girl later in April.
2 It was a great way to kick off the weekend! Congratulations to our beloved Mrs. Benjamin. I will be announcing soon who will be the first grade teacher to finish the school year. As we are now into the 3rd trimester, important dates have been set. Thursday, June 14th at 6:30 ~ 6th grade promotion night & celebration Friday, June 15th ~ Field day Monday, June 18th (if we don t have any more snow days!) Last day for students, move up moment and barbeque, half day. I hope to see you all on Monday, April 2nd at 6:30pm to hear from Superintendent Younce on the 2020 Vision. The presentation will be about 45 minutes. There will be plenty of time for questions and feedback. Helen Students in the first grade are learning about the solar system which includes the study of the moon. Check out Emerson s use of science vocabulary.

12 Annual Wallingford Bike Safety Day: Rides Again May 12th, 2018 Contact Persons / Co-Chairs: Wallingford Rotary Club: Adrian Eisler <adrianeisler1@gmail.com> ; Tammy Heffernan <tammy.heffernan@mac.com> GE: Rodney Ward < Rodney.Ward@ge.com > ; < rodney.ward@ae.ge.com > Community Members: Lisa & Joseph Donohue ~ Thrive Center <uthrive@vermontel.net> ******************************************** On Saturday, May 12th, from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM, The Wallingford Community Bike Safety Day, will host it's 20th.Annual event, at the Wallingford Elementary School. This fun, interactive and collaboratively sponsored event always has something for all ages; from free helmet fitting to an obstacle course, and from bike safety inspections to 911 rescue vehicle / law enforcement interactions, Etc. In addition, (as a tradition), there are always terrific prize giveaways, face painting, refreshments and much more; because of the generous support of sponsors & volunteers. As a piece of history, the "Bike Safety Day" was started in the late 90's, by Wallingford's Brad Kelley. Over the years he enlisted the aid of Rotary, many local businesses, and volunteers to fund, facilitate and diversify this project. To date, major sponsors are the Wallingford Rotary & the GE Volunteers, rallied by Rodney Ward. The event is modeled from a program initiated by the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute and New England Medical Center, Boston, MA. For more information, to make a donation, or to get involved as a volunteer, contact Rotarian Co-Chair, Adrian Eisler ( ) and / or GE Co-Chair Rodney Ward at ( ). ~ Go Wallingford! ### Submitted In Service, L.M.
