DUFFICY DOUBLES DOWN Sophomore guard/forward Shannon Dufficy recorded her sixth double-double of the season against Fresno State last weekend with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Dufficy now has 11 double-doubles in her two-year career, which ties for the third-most of any player since the reinstatement of the Utah State program. Ashlee Brown holds the record with 22 double-doubles in her two seasons with the Aggies. Additionally, she ranks fourth among active Mountain West players. OFF THE GLASS Utah State recorded 49 rebounds in last week s win over Fresno State, the most the team has earned in conference play. The team s season-high came against Denver, when the Aggies tallied 51 rebounds. USU out-rebounded the Bulldogs by 15, its highest rebounding margin of the season. RAKING IN THE POINTS With her 11 points at Wyoming last weekend, junior guard Rachel Brewster crossed the 900-career point mark. She currently has 932 points in her three seasons as an Aggie, needing 15 more points to rank in the Utah State top-10. With another season ahead of her, she is on pace to become the 10th player in Utah State history to score at least 1,000 points. DISHING OUT DIMES Sophomore guard Eliza West has tied her career-high of nine assists twice this season, doing so against Nevada (Jan. 13) and Fresno State (Jan. 27). With her nine against the Bulldogs, Wes ranks ninth all-time at Utah State with 230 career assists. THE WINNING TREND Utah State s wins have all had several statistics in common. In all five of the team s victories, the Aggies have held the halftime lead, tallied more assists than the opposing team and shot better from the field than the opponent. Additionally, all five wins have been day games, while the team is 0-11 in games played at night. STARTING LINEUP SHIFT Utah State has used 10 different starting lineups this season. No USU player has started all 21 contests, but Hailey Bassett, Rachel Brewster, Shannon Dufficy, Taylor Franson, Jessie Geer, Lindsey Jensen, Deja Mason, Victoria Price, Eliza West and Olivia West have each seen some time among the starting five. Dufficy and Eliza West have made the most starts of anyone on the team with 20 each, while Brewster has started 19 contests. RELYING ON THE STARTERS Utah State s starting five have made the most significant impact on the floor this season. The Aggie starters have played 68.6 percent (2,899) of the minutes while scoring 71.9 percent (889) of the points and tallying 65.6 percent (476) of the team s rebounds. BLOCK THEM OUT Like she has done each year of her career, junior center Deja Mason leads the Aggies in the block column this season. In the 21 games this year, Mason has tallied 33 blocks. She now has 121 in her career, which ranks fourth all-time at Utah State. She needs 11 more blocks to set the career record. Mason tallied 38 blocks as a freshman and 52 last season. Sophomore guard/forward Hailey Bassett is second on the team in blocks with 20. Mason and Bassett rank first and third, respectively, in the Mountain West in blocks per game. Additionally, Utah State leads all conference teams in blocks, averaging 4.3per game. AGAINST THE MOUNTAIN WEST Utah State has an all-time record against current members of the Mountain West. In their fifth year as a member of the conference, the Aggies have gone in Mountain West play. Utah State has winning records against Air Force (8-3), Nevada (17-11) and San José State (16-10). UP NEXT After its bye weekend, Utah State will return to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum to host Wyoming on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. The Aggies will then take to the road to play at Boise State on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m UTAH STATE WOMEN S BASKETBALL
