2 Sponsorship Package Mission Statement It is our desire to offer a unique and professional basketball team that prides itself on providing family friendly entertainment to the Richmond area and surrounding counties. To demonstrate our commitment to the Richmond area, we have pledged to maintain consistent support in the community and with our fans. About the Richmond Elite and the ABA Richmond Elite is a part of the American Basketball Association (ABA); The largest professional league in the world. Richmond Elite competes in the Colonial Division. There are over 91 professional teams in the ABA and 18 teams in the Colonial Division. Teams are in states all across America and various cities. The regular game season runs from November through March. Richmond Elite placed #11 in the Nation and 3 rd in the Colonial Division in the Season. The original ABA was founded in 1967, competing with the well-established National Basketball Association, until the ABA-NBA merger in According to The NBA Encyclopedia, its long-term goal was to force a merger with the more established league. ABA officials told potential owners that they could get an ABA team for half of what it cost to get an NBA expansion team at the time. When the merger occurred, ABA officials said, their investment would more than double. The ABA started the following: The red, white and blue basketball Distinguished itself with a more wide-open, freewheeling, flashy style of offensive play and pressing and trapping defenses Pioneered the popular slam dunk contest at its all-star games The freewheeling style of the ABA eventually caught on with fans, but the lack of a national television contract and protracted financial losses would spell doom for the ABA as an independent circuit. In 1976, its last year of existence, the ABA pioneered the nowpopular slam dunk contest at its all-star game in Denver.

Brandon Macklin - selected to play in Australia Combined 55 9 in four season Mid-Atlantic Division Champions Hosted 3 rd round of ABA playoffs in 2013 Community Involvement Participate in the IRA Reading Program Participate in High School Mentoring Program Partnered with the City of Richmond Police Department to sponsor the Community Day at Mosby Court and Creighton Court Back to School. The players cooked, served residents and handed out book bags to children. Participated in RVA Feed the City Collect blankets for the Homeless Collect food for the Richmond Food Bank Hosted a Cancer Benefit Concert where all proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society. Participates in the Make Strides for Breast Cancer Walk. Assisted with Friends Helping Friends Basketball Camp in Petersburg and Richmond. Hosted free basketball camps Participated in the Johnson s Christmas Parade Participated in the VUU Special Olympics Program

4 Benefits of Becoming a Richmond Elite Sponsor Richmond Elite s goal is to become the premier basketball organization for the City of Richmond and surrounding counties. Becoming a sponsor know will guarantee you the following: A. Sponsors will receive local and national attention. The level of sponsorship is matched with an equal amount of exposure. Selecting from our packages, you will receive local wide (and potentially nationwide) advertising at our basketball games. Sponsorship banners will be seen by ABA fans all over the United States. Richmond Elite banners are displayed at majority of our events outside of our games as well. B. Attach yourself to one of the best reading programs in the country. Attaching basketball to interest kids reading will help kids achieve their goals in reading each month. C. Richmond Elite gives all sponsors an opportunity to present their company at our basketball games. Either by setting up a booth in our lobby, participating in a halftime or pre-game show or just having your logo on give-a-way prizes, all sponsors are a part of a Richmond Elite game. D. Using Richmond Elite and our players to help get your business name in the community. Schools, boy s n girls clubs, recreations and parks are all places Richmond Elite enjoys patterning with. Let us take your business in with us. E. Planting a seed early in an organization that has a very bright future in the Richmond area. Richmond Elite success is not only growing on the court but in the city as well. Richmond Elite has the plans on playing in the coliseum and possibly becoming an NBA developmental league team. F. Showing that your company supports young basketball players in their efforts to play professional basketball over Seas or in the NBA. Richmond Elite is the door for these players to achieve the dreams.

5 Joyce A. Patterson has always had a passion for basketball. She was born in Richmond, VA and has two wonderful sons, Jason and CaRes Patterson. She has worked with Godwin-Jones & Price, P.C. Attorneys at Law since August In 2011 she became the proud owner and operator of the Professional Basketball Team Richmond Elite. As the only locally owned and operated Professional Team in Richmond, she is dedicated to the community and offers a unique and professional basketball team that prides itself on providing family entertainment to build communities in the Richmond area and surrounding counties. We are proud to have made it to the play-off last year as well as have five players selected to play in the next level of basketball. One of our players was selected to play on the first team National All Star Team. She has a dedicated and committed board that is always seeking ways to offer new and entertaining events to enhance the organization. is proud of the effort that the staff and players have made to give back to the communities and making a difference in a young ones life!! Our entertainment division provides half-time shows, from today s artists, which makes attending an Elite game an experience. Coach Reggie Tennyson is the head coach and Coach Lawrence Walden is the assistant coach. Together we are looking forward to another great season!
