Sanchez, originally a first round draft pick (fifth overall) of the New York Jets, is an eighth-year player with 75 games played in his career, compiled 15,126 yards through the air on 1,285-of- 2,267 passing (56.7%) with 86 touchdowns against 84 interceptions. As a rookie in 2009, Sanchez started 15 games for the N.Y. Jets and experienced great success, leading the team to the AFC Championship game, a feat which he duplicated in his second season with the team. His postseason numbers rank among some of the games greats at the position, with a 60.5% completion rate to go along with 1,155 yards and nine touchdown passes against three interceptions as well as a 94.3 quarterback rating, seventh all-time in postseason play, in six games. Sanchez was released by the N.Y. Jets in 2014 after missing the entire 2013 season with a shoulder injury, and signed with Philadelphia, where he started 10 games in two seasons. He was traded to Denver at the beginning of the 2016 offseason, but was released after training camp and signed with Dallas.
