Saturday s game will be the first meeting between the New Hampshire and Colorado football programs. It will be UNH s first game against any Pac-12 team. The 16 tackles by junior linebacker Quinlen Dean last week were the most by a Wildcat since Oct. 13, 2012, when Matt Evans also made 16 stops against the University of Richmond. Senior wide receiver Neil O Connor recorded his eighth career 100-yard receiving game with 10 catches for 111 yards against Colgate last week at Wildcat Stadium. New Hampshire upended FBS opponent Georgia Southern, 22-12, last year at Legion Field (Birmingham, Alabama). Prior to last year, UNH lost seven consecutive matchups against FBS opponents. The Wildcats won five straight games against FBS competition spanning the seasons. The last time UNH started a season with back-to-back losses was 2002; the Wildcats started that year 0-4. Prior to last week s 10-3 loss to Colgate, the last time New Hampshire lost a regular-season home game to a non-conference team was Nov. 11, 2000, when Gardner-Webb was a victor. UNH had won 13 consecutive home openers prior to last week. The previous Wildcats loss in a home opener was to William & Mary, 9-7, on Sept. 18, UNH has recorded seven or more wins 14 consecutive years; the stretch began in 2004 (10-3) and includes six double-digit win seasons with a program-record 12 in The Wildcats return 18 starters nine on offense and nine on defense from last year s team that finished 9-5 overall and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals. 3 THE MATCHUP: UNH vs. COLORADO Series Synopsis Saturday s game will be the first meeting between the New Hampshire and Colorado football programs. It will be UNH s first game against any Pac-12 team. Other than the NCAA skiing championships, UNH and Colorado have competed against each other infrequently. In women s soccer, UNH won the only matchup against the Buffaloes, 2-1 in overtime on the road, on Sept. 13, In women s lacrosse, the series is even at 1-1. UNH prevailed in 2014 (14-11 in Durham) and CU won in 15 (10-9 in Boulder). Scouting Colorado The University of Colorado (Boulder, Colo.) has a 2-0 record following last weekend s win at Nebraska. The Buffaloes defeated Colorado State, 45-13, in the season opener at Denver. Sophomore linebacker Nate Landman was named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week earlier this week. He recorded 14 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble against the Huskers. In two games, Landman has 28 tackles. Junior quarterback Steven Montez was named the Maxwell Award National Player of the Week and was an honorable mention for the Earl Campbell Award. Montez completed 33 of 50 attempts for 351 yards and three touchdowns against Nebraska. In two games, he has completed 55 of 75 passes for 689 yards and seven TDs with one interception. Sophomore wide receiver Laviska Shenault, Jr. is the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. He caught 10 passes for 177 yards and also had a rushing touchdown. In two games, Shenault has 21 catches for 388 yards to lead the nation in receptions and receiving yards per game. Travon McMillian is the leading rusher with 128 yards on 18 carries. Kyle Evans has 24 carries for 84 yards. Most Colorado s 78 points have been scored in the first (35 points) and third (27)quarters; in comparison, CU has outscored the opposition 6-3 in the fourth quarter. 4 AT THE POLLS: New Hampshire dropped out of both the STATS and FCS Coaches poll this week. The Wildcats had been in the national polls 18 consecutive weeks dating back to their playoff run in the 2016 season. UNH vs. THE FBS: New Hampshire upended FBS opponent Georgia Southern, 22-12, last year at Legion Field (Birmingham, Alabama); the game was relocated because of Hurricane Irma. The Wildcats led 15-0 at the end of the first quarter and took a 22-0 lead into halftime. GSU trimmed the deficit to at 6:18 of the fourth quarter but would get no closer. Neil O Connor caught 11 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns (10 & 18 yards). Evan Gray was the top ground gainer with 13 rushes for 77 yards. The defense recorded eight tackles for loss, including five sacks, and two turnovers (Isiah Perkins INT, Brian Carter fumble recovery). The top tacklers were Rick Ellison (10), Quinlen Dean (9) and Josh Kania (9). Prior to last year, UNH lost seven consecutive matchups against FBS opponents. The five consecutive wins were against Rutgers (35-24; 2004), North- western (34-17; 2006), Marshall (48-35; 2007), Army (28-10; 2008) and Ball State (23-16; 2009). Since then, the Wildcats have been defeated by FBS teams Pittsburgh (2010), Toledo (2011 & 2014), Minnesota (2012), Central Michigan (2013), San Jose State (2015) and San Diego State (2016). COACH MAC RECORDS 150 TH CAREER WIN: Head coach Sean Mc- Donnell recorded his 150th career win when the Wildcats defeated Central Arkansas, 21-15, in the FCS second round on Dec. 2, CAA WINS LEADERBOARD: Head coach Sean McDonnell recorded his 95th career victory in CAA conference play Nov. 11, 2017 with UNH s 16-6 win against Elon at Wildcat Stadium. McDonnell s predecessor, Bill Bowes, is No. 3 at 97 career conference wins. O CONNOR RECEIVES PRESEASON RECOGNITION: Senior wide receiver Neil O Connor was a consensus 2018 Preseason All-American; STATS, HERO and Phil Steele all had O Connor on the First Team. He was also named to the Walter Payton Award Watch List. Following the 2017 season, O Connor received All-America recognition six times and was also named All-ECAC First Team, All-New England, and All-CAA First Team. O Connor led UNH and the CAA in receptions (97), receiving yards (1,396), receiving yards/game (99.7) and receiving TDs (10); he was also atop the team leaderboard in both all-purpose yards (1,510; fifth in CAA) and points (60). On the national leaderboard, those numbers ranked No. 3 in receiving yards, 11th in receptions per game and receiving yards per game, and 14th in receiving TDs. Those numbers also ranked high on UNH s list of single-season superlatives No. 2 in receptions and No. 4 in receiving yards. The previous Wildcat to reach double digits in TD catches was R.J. Harris with 15 in the 2014 season. O Connor s 2017 highlights included a career-high 232 receiving yards including a career-long 76-yard TD reception vs. Rhode Island, personal best 13 catches (182 yards) at Stony Brook and career-high three TDs (7 catches, 154 yards) vs. Bryant. KNIGHT TABBED CAA PRESEASON OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Senior quarterback Trevor Knight was named the offensive player to watch by the CAA coaches. His 2017 accolades included New England Football Writers Division I Season Gold Helmet Award, All-New England and CAA Football Third Team. Knight broke the school record for single-season pass attempts with 471; his other 17 numbers ranked second in passing yards (3,433) and third in completions (291). Also of note, his 26 passing TDs were the most by a Wildcat since 2008, when R.J. Toman had 28. Knight s other stats included a 61.8 completion percentage and QB efficiency rating. On the CAA leaderboard, he ranked second in both passing yards/game (245.2) and total offense/game (256.8), and third in both passing efficiency and completion percentage. Knight s 2017 season highlights included a career-high 420 passing yards vs. Rhode Island (23x34, 3 TDs, rating); personal-best four TDs against both Towson and William & Mary; season-high 76.2 completion percentage (32x42) vs. Elon for 271 yards and one TD; completed 25 of 35 passes for 406 yards and had a rating at W&M. Knight can beat teams with his legs as well as his right arm. Last year, he ranked second on the team in rushes (146) and third in rushing yards (162) with one rushing touchdown. WILDCAT TRIO NAMED PRESEASON ALL-CONFERENCE: Senior quarterback Trevor Knight, senior wide receiver Neil O Connor and junior linebacker Quinlen Dean were announced to the CAA Football Preseason All-Conference Team at the conference s annual media day that was held July 24 at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL s Baltimore Ravens. Dean was the top Cat in solo tackles (80), assisted tackles (44) and total tackles (124); the 80 solo tackles were more than all other Cats had total tackles. He also ranked fourth in tackles for loss (11.5). Dean led the CAA led the CAA and tied for third in the country with 80 solo tackles, and he paced the league and ranked fifth nationally in total tackles. He was UNH s top tackler in 9 of 14 games, including five straight spanning Oct. 28-Nov. 25. He recorded double-digit tackles five times, including career-high 15 (6-9-15) at Albany. His other season highlights included 12 stops (9-3-12) in the NCAA first round vs. Central Connecticut State, in which he recorded a season-high three tackles for loss and in interception. 4

5 Dean s 2017 accolades included All-CAA Second Team and HERO Sports Sophomore All-America First Team. UNH PICKED SECOND IN CAA PRESEASON POLL: New Hampshire was voted second in the CAA Football Preseason Poll. The Wildcats received two first-place votes and 206 points to place behind three-time defending champion James Madison (241 points; 21 first-place votes). Delaware (182), Stony Brook (169) and Elon (168; 1) round out the top five. FIVE CATS AT 100: A total of five active Wildcats have 100+ career tackles; they are: junior linebacker Quinlen Dean (189), senior linebacker Jared Kuehl (146), senior defensive end Jae Wuan Horton (135), and junior safeties Pop Lacey (136) and Rick Ellison (131). Junior cornerback Prince Smith, Jr. is on the verge of reaching the century mark with 99 career tackles. TACKLING MACHINE: Junior linebacker Quinlen Dean led the CAA in tackles a year ago with 124, and he hasn t shown signs of slowing down this season. Dean recorded 11 tackles in the Aug. 30 season opener at Maine and followed that with a career-high 16 tackles (8-8-16) last week against Colgate University. The 16 tackles were the most by a Wildcat since Oct. 13, 2012, when Matt Evans also made 16 stops against the University of Richmond. Dean is No. 6 in the nation in tackles per game (13.5). BEHIND THE LINE: UNH s defense has made 16 tackles for loss, including six sacks. Senior defensive end Jae Wuan Horton is the leader with 4.5 TFL and 2.0 sacks. Quinlen Dean has 3.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage, including one sack. Senior defensive tackle Ryan Sosnak has three TFL with two sacks. CAT DEFENSE STIFLES COLGATE: UNH s defense allowed just 214 total yards of offense to Colgate in last week s 10-3 loss to the Raiders at Wildcat Stadium. The Wildcat D limited the passing game to 84 yards on 8 of 18 attempt The last time UNH held an opponent below 100 passing yards was Week 2 last year vs. Georgia Southern (93 passing yards). Colgate s 84 passing yards was the lowest by an opponent since the College of William & Mary had 61 (Oct. 1, 2016). Colgate scored the only touchdown of the game early in the second quarter by capitalizing on a turnover that gave the Raiders possession at the UNH 19 yard line. Colgate needed eight plays and 4:50 to punch it in on a 1-yard quarterback keeper by Grant Breneman on fourth down. That was the only time the entire game that Colgate was in the Red Zone. Colgate converted just 2 of 15 third downs (13.3%), but was successful on all three fourth down attempts. ECLIPSING 100 AGAIN: Senior wide receiver Neil O Connor recorded his eighth career 100-yard receiving game with 10 catches for 111 yards against Colgate last week at Wildcat Stadium. O Connor was, by far, UNH s top target last week as he accounted for 10 of the team s 14 receptions and 111 of 133 receiving yards. Through two games, O Connor has 12 catches for 132 yards for averages of 11.0 yards per catch and 66.0 yards per game. He accounts for 12 of the team s 22 catches and 132 of 256 yards. FIRST CAREER START: Sophomore quarterback Christian Lupoli made his first career start last Saturday vs. Colgate. He completed 14 of 24 passes for 133 yards; he was sacked three times. Lupoli also had 10 rushes (including the three sacks) for a net of 13 yards. He entered the season opener at Maine (in place of injured starter Trevor Knight) at 6:14 of the second quarter with UNH trailing Lupoli completed his first three passes and had a five-yard rush to march the Cats to the Maine 39, but a holding penalty backed UNH up and forced a punt. Lupoli finished the game 5 of 13 for 98 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown. The 13 attempts and 98 passing yards both marked career highs. He did not throw an interception and was sacked four times. With UNH leading 14-9, Lupoli engineered an 11-play, 63-yard TD drive to extend the advantage to 21-9 midway through the third quarter. He finished the game completing 8 of 10 passes for 63 yards, including a nine-yard TD pass, for a passer efficiency rating. In eight games last year (five with a pass attempt), Lupoli was 13 of 28 for 95 yards, one TD and one INT; he also had 18 carries for 11 yards, including a long of 14. ALL-PURPOSE BACK: Redshirt freshman Carlos Washington, Jr. amassed 142 all-purpose yards in his collegiate debut vs. Maine in Week 1. He led the team in rushes (eight), receptions (two), receiving yards (75) and kickoff return yards (56). He had a total of 11 rushing yards. Washington, Jr. scored his first career TD on a 62-yard pass from Christian Lupoli early in the fourth quarter. Last week against Colgate, Washington, Jr. finished with 28 all-purpose yards with five carries for 11 yards and one kickoff return for 17 yards. GAINING GROUND: New Hampshire has been held to a total of 66 rushing yards in two games (on 69 carries). The Wildcats had 32 carries for minus-7 yards in the season opener at Maine; those totals included six sacks for minus-36 yards and a 38-yard loss on a snap that sailed over punter Drew Sanborn s head. Evan Gray has been UNH s top rusher both games. He finished with seven carries for 38 yards at Maine, and then had nine rushes for 29 yards vs. Colgate. That s a total of 67 yards on 16 carries for averages of 4.2 per carry and 33.5 per game. TURNING IT OVER: New Hampshire has lost the turnover battle each of the first two games; the Wildcats committed one turnover (fumble) at Maine and two (two fumbles) against Colgate. UNH S defense recorded its first and only turnover of the season when Evan Horn intercepted Colgate quarterback Grant Breneman s pass in the end zone late in the first quarter to keep the game scoreless. SEEING RED: UNH s offense did not go into the Red Zone in the opener at Maine the Wildcats touchdown came on a 62-yard TD pass play and, against Colgate, converted 1 of 2 trips inside the 20 into three points on a 30-yard field goal by Jason Hughes. Mitch McPike missed a 36-yard FG attempt vs. the Raiders. SOLID PUNTING GAME: Drew Sanborn has solidified his spot as the team s top punter with his performance the first two weeks of the season. On 15 punts, he has pinned the opposition inside the 20 yard line 10 times and has not kicked the ball into the end zone for a touchback. In Week 1 at Maine, Sanborn had nine punts with an average of 41.8 yards per boot; he had six punts inside the 20. Last week vs. Colgate, his six punts were an average of 37.7 yards with four inside the 20. THE CAPTAINS: Seniors Trevon Bryant, Jae Wuan Horton and Jared Kuehl were named the 2018 captains prior to the spring s Blue-White scrimmage last May. Bryant is a rare two-time captain for the Wildcats. He was a senior during spring camp in 2017 and was injured early in the session, knocking him out for the 17 season. Despite his injury, his teammates elected him captain for last season as camp ended. Because Bryant played as a true freshman, he was able to get a medical redshirt for last season, is eligible to play in 2018 and he was picked as a captain again. THE PASSERS: Trevor Knight put up one of the most productive seasons ever for a UNH quarterback in He s coming back for his senior season looking to improve on an impressive campaign. Knight, who stands 6-foot and 198 pounds, played a limited role during his redshirt freshman season and was the starter the bulk of the games his sophomore season before becoming the clear No. 1 last year. Lupoli came on in relief for an injured Knight last year during a second-round playoff game against Central Arkansas and led the Wildcats to a win. This year, he has once again stepped in place of the injured Knight. The other quarterbacks are redshirt-freshmen Stephen Hedberg, a 6-3, 192-pound lefthander, and Tommy Herion (6-1, 185). Herion made his debut late in the game at Maine. With 1:59 remaining, he threw an incompletion on first down and then handed the ball off three times to end the game. THE TARGETS: UNH s quarterbacks have plenty of familiar targets, led by 6

7 seniors Neil O Connor and Kieran Presley, as well as junior Malik Love. O Connor had a breakout season in The consensus All-American and Walter Payton Award finalist led UNH in receptions (97), receiving yards (1,396) and receiving TDs (10), as well as all-pur- pose yards (1,510) and points (60); he averaged 14.4 yards/ reception and 99.7 receiving yards/game. Love led the Wildcats in catches with 59 for 520 yards in 2016 and upped his numbers to 70 for 733 yards and three scores last year. Presley, who missed the first five games last year with an injury and started the final nine contests, had 43 catches for 459 yards and three scores. Sophomore Nick Lorden is one of a bunch of receivers vying for playing time. He had a knack for making key catches last year; he caught 12 passes, six of them for touchdowns. Classmate C.J. Turner played as a true freshman last season and emerged as the top kickoff returner. Sophomore Joey Carroll and redshirt freshman Benyeal Hill, Jr. drew praise from coaches this past spring. Junior Justin Malone-Woods leads the group of tight ends. He has played in 24 games the last two years and started 11 last year with 18 catches for 275 yards and a couple of touchdowns the last two seasons. Senior John DiCaro, known more for his run-blocking skills, and sophomore Jack Cavallaro are the others in the tight end group. THE BALL CARRIERS: Trevon Bryant, the second-year captain, gets his long-awaited shot at running back in Junior Evan Gray made the most of his opportunity last season and returns to the backfield. Those two veterans lead a four-man pack at the top of the depth chart at running back. Junior Brandon Gallagher and redshirt freshman Carlos Washington, Jr. fill out the rest of the group. As a junior in 2016, Bryant averaged six yards a carry 82 carries for 496 yards and scored five touchdowns. Gray rushed for 650 yards (3.6 yards a carry) and scored eight of UNH s 12 rushing TDs last season. He also caught 20 passes for 135 yards and a score. Gallagher averaged 5.9 yards per carry and had a breakout game against Towson with 12 carries for 104 yards. Washington played on scout teams last year and had a strong spring season. THE BLOCKERS: Senior Dayne Herron and sophomores Jack Carroll and Matt Mascia are the guys up front with returning experience on the offensive line. Herron and Carroll worked side-by-side on the left side for a majority of the 2017 season. Herron will be a third-year starter. He started all 13 games in which he played last season all at left tackle; he had started the last 10 games of the 2016 season at right tackle. Herron is once again penciled in at the starter at left tackle. Carroll was the starting left guard all 14 games a year ago and Mascia started 11 of the 12 he played in before his season was ended by injury. Noah Robison was inserted into the starting lineup at right tackle the last two games of the 2017 season, and he is starter at RT in the 2018 season. UNH had to replace the man in the middle Jake Kennedy was an All-CAA Second Team selection at center last year. Redshirt freshman Patrick Flynn has filled that position. THE D-LINE: Last year, UNH s defense ranked second in the CAA in sacks, third in pass defense efficiency and first in the red zone. The defensive line s ability to disrupt opposing quarterbacks factored in that success. Seniors Jae Wuan Horton and Kyle Reisert will help the defense turn up the heat on opposing offenses. He also had a team-high four quarterback hurries and forced a couple of fumbles to tie for the lead in that category. Horton has started UNH s last 37 games, dating back to the third game of his redshirt freshman season. Reisert led the team with 4.5 sacks in 2016, but dealt with injuries last season and was limited to six games. He is once again sidelined by injury at the outset of the 2018 season. Sophomore Brian Carter stepped up and started six games last year. He is penciled in as the starter at defensive end opposite Horton. Senior Ryan Sosnak is the main man in the middle of the defensive line. Sosnak started all 27 Wildcat games the past two seasons and he is the only defensive tackle with starting experience. He had 28 total 7

8 tackles as a sophomore in 2016 and was up to 35, with six tackles for a loss, last season. The players around him include sophomores Elijah Lewis and Jacob Bradshaw and freshman Niko Kvietkus. THE LINEBACKING UNIT: Junior Quinlen Dean piled up tackles and had a breakout season last year, while Jared Kuehl turned in another big-play season despite missing several games because of injury. Dean and Kuehl, the senior captain, return this year to backbone what may be the strongest unit in what is shaping up as a solid UNH defense. Dean was immense last season and led the team with 124 tackles (80 unassisted, 44 assisted) and he ranked fourth in the CAA with 8.9 tackles per game. The next closest Wildcat had a total of 73 tackles. And the 124 tackles were the most by a Wildcat linebacker since 2013, when Akil Anderson had the same number. Kuehl started all 10 games in which he played in 2017; he was sidelined four games by injury. Despite missing those games, he led UNH with 13.5 tackles for loss. Kuehl also ranked third in sacks (5.0 and fourth in tackles with 66 ( ), and had a team-high three fumble recoveries. Junior Michael Balsamo and sophomore Steven Harper are listed as the backups on the Week 3 depth chart. Balsamo, a former safety, had 31 tackles, including 6.5 for loss, last year. SAFETIES: Juniors Rick Ellison and Pop Lacey have been regular starters in their first two seasons and sophomore Evan Horn started the second half of last season. Ellison was third on the team in tackles last season with 43 unassisted and 26 assisted for a total of 69. He returned one of his two interceptions 50 yards for a touchdown to open the scoring in a win over Bryant. Lacey had an outstanding season as a true freshman and started 11 of the team s 13 games. He led the Wildcats in tackles ( ) and had a couple of interceptions and a fumble recovery. Last season, injuries limited him to nine games with seven starts; he finished with 42 tackles (29-13). Horn was second on the team in interceptions with three last fall and had 43 tackles (23-20). Horn switched to basketball after the football season ended and played in 14 games with two starts. Juniors Matt Sherlock and Dean Adams, as well as redshirt freshman Pop Bush, have seen regular playing time this season. ANTI-AIR DEFENSE: They are the Big 3 of the cornerback position: juniors Isiah Perkins and Prince Smith, Jr., and sophomore Alonzo Addae. Perkins and Smith, Jr. have been mainstays in the defensive backfield for the Wildcats the last couple of seasons, and Addae joined them last year and had more-and-more of an impact as the season progressed. All three were often on the field together in passing situations. Smith, Jr. played as a true freshman in 2016, started 10 games and led the Wildcats with five interceptions and the CAA with 18 passes defended en route to being named the conference s Defensive Rookie of the Year. Last year in 10 starts, he led UNH cornerbacks in tackles with 37 unassisted and 18 assisted for a total of 55. Perkins had five picks last season, including two in the fourth quarter against Rhode Island to help the Wildcats protect a win. Addae had 24 assisted and 12 unassisted tackles last season for a total of 36. He forced a fumble each of UNH s two playoff wins last season and recovered the fumble he caused against Central Arkansas. KICKING THE BALL AROUND: The Wildcats look to revamp their kicking game for Max Pedinoff did the bulk of the punting and WILDCAT SPORTS RADIO NETWORK: Wildcat Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports, is the multimedia rights holder for UNH Athletics. The Wildcat Sports Network consists of flagship station WGIRAM 610 (Manchester), which has been the headquarters for UNH play-by-play since 2008, as well as affiliates WQSO-FM 96.7 (Portsmouth) and WPKX-AM 930 (Rochester). Each game is streamed live online at Bob Lipman, six-time N.H. Sportscaster of the Year, is in his seventh season as the Voice of the Wildcats and eighth season with the Network in Lipman is the longtime voice of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball team and former voice of Dartmouth College football. This is the second year in the UNH football booth for Justin McIsaac. McIsaac has been a longtime radio voice on the Seacoast of NH, winning the NHAB Merit award for play by play in 2013, and NHAB Best Morning Show Team award in All games will be broadcast live, with the pregame show beginning 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Both have graduated. Junior Drew Sanborn had a productive spring 18 season and grabbed the punting job. Sanborn punted eight times in 2017 with a 34.6 per kick average and nine punts in 2016 averaged 38.4 yards per boot. Sophomore Jason Hughes rose to the top as the placekicker and Mitch McPike will now be handling kickoff duties. BACK TO RETURN: Junior Brandon Gallagher lined up deep on kickoff returns for a majority of the 17 season. He had 10 returns for 192 yards, including a team long of 35. In the second round and quarterfinal games of the NCAA playoffs, Gallagher averaged 23.2 yards on seven returns. This year, however, running backs Trevon Bryant and Carlos Washington, Jr. have been lining up deep on kickoff returns. Washington, Jr. is averaging 18.2 yards per return (4-73) and Bryant is at 18.0 (2-36). Evan Horn was the only Wildcat with a punt return a year ago. He finished with 21 returns for 76 yards, including a long of 17. Pop Lacey began the 2018 season as the punt returner, but Horn is back there again. WILDCAT STADIUM A NEW ERA OF UNH FOOTBALL: Wildcat Stadium saw a 13 percent increase from its inaugural season of UNH football, highlighted by the all-time largest crowd for a home opener (15,854) and largest on-campus crowd (22,135) in school history in the 2017 season. The Wildcats averaged 12,751 fans per home game in the 2017 regular season, up from 11,108 in the 2016 regular season. The overall attendance of 63,756 eclipsed that of 55,542 in 16. A new era of UNH football began Saturday, Sept , when New Hampshire played its inaugural game at Wildcat Stadium against College of the Holy Cross and prevailed in front of 13,242 spectators. Wildcat Stadium was built on the same site as its predecessor, Cowell Stadium, which was erected in The stands on the east side, which had served as the home bench, remain intact and are now the visitor s section. The new structure including the Service Credit Union Victory Club, club seats, press box, coaches boxes, general admission seating, 603 Eatery concession 8

9 stand and souvenir store was erected on the west side and is the home bench. NATION-LEADING 14 STRAIGHT FCS POSTSEASONS: UNH received one of 14 at-large berths to the 2017 NCAA FCS Division I Championship to extend the longest active playoff streak in the nation to 14 years; the next longest active streak of eight is held by North Dakota State. The Cats have compiled a postseason record during the streak. It all began in 2004 with a first round upset (27-24 win) at Georgia Southern. New Hampshire has a lifetime record in the postseason and that includes in the I-AA/FCS tourney. Freshman defensive back Christian Peete, from down the road in Portsmouth, led the defense with eight tackles. Senior wide receiver Kieran Presley scored on a 17-yard pass from Knight. Presley led the team with five catches for 64 yards. Fourteen different players caught passes from five UNH quarterbacks.
