This will be the first ever mee ng between the two teams. Colorado comes into the game with a perfect record. Lindenwood will finish up the week with games against Central on Saturday and Sunday. 4 Golden Voice is Back: The Men s hockey team is excited that our PA Announcer has decided to delay his retirement and will be back on the mic for Lindenwood home games. Mr. Bob Carroll will be back where he belongs and with his signature phrase, be there baby and bring a friend. Lindenwood Milestones: Lukas Daniels is 8 games away from 100, 37 points away from 100. Mike Lozano is 28 games away from 100, 23 goals away from 50, 38 points away from 100. Tobias Nasgarde is 26 games away from 100. Adam Newkirk is 5 games away from 100. Brandon Rumble is 24 points away from 100. Kevin Walters is 33 points away from 100. Tough Schedule: Lindenwood once again has the toughest schedule in the country. 34 of 36 regular season games will be against teams in the pre-season top 25 ranking. 21 of 36 are against teams in the top 10. Number Changes: Sophomore Jordan Klimovsky switched from #13 to #4. Junior Mitch Riese switched from #3 to #5 Special Teams: Lions struggled this past weekend on the special teams against Minot State. Lindenwood did not score a power play goal in eight chances, while giving up two goals in seven chances against. Lindenwood is 1 for 15 (6.7%) on the power play and 13 for 17 (76.5%) on the penalty kill. : Lindenwood capped off their campaign with a 2-1 win over in the national championship game. This was the third national title for the Lindenwood hockey program. New Faces: The Lions have added 6 freshman to the team. Ryan Carson and Austin Wilk have joined the Lions after another championship season with VIJHL champ Victoria Cougars. Victor Lombardi joins the Lions from the Boston Jr. Bandits (EJHL). Kyle Van Wyk played last season with Nashville Jr. Predators (NA3HL). Aapo Nurminen was a member of Arizona Hawks (WSHL) last season. And Alex Klaesner joins the Lions from St. Louis Jr. Blues (NA3HL) after a successful season last year. Key Losses: Lindenwood lost a pair of 20+ goal scorers last year with the graduation of Stephen Bopp and Riley Spraggs. The two combined for 46 goals which was 33.8% of the Lions goals last year. New Assistant Coach: Trey Flesch joins the coaching staff as he gets underway with his graduate studies at Lindenwood. Trey finished his playing career last year with the Lions.
