Since the season, Buffalo s October record of (.722) is second only to Detroit s (.725). This includes their start in 2006, and an run to open last season. SAY HELLO TO THE 40 TH ANNIVERSARY JERSEY Buffalo s new 40 th anniversary third jersey makes its game action debut tonight, after previously being unveiled at an open practice on September 18. This will now serve as the team s alternate third jersey, and will be worn 12 times this season at HSBC Arena. This classically-designed uniform is a tribute to not only the history of Buffalo hockey, but early NHL jersey designs of the past. The jersey will next be worn on November 3 vs. Boston.

8 SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN Buffalo opens the season playing six games in nine days, including four of their first five at home. October is one of the four months this season that has the Sabres playing 12 games. March is the team s busiest month with 16 games (7/9) in 31 days.
