3 COMPETITION RULES 1. INTERPRETATION OF THE COMPETITION RULES 1.1 Unless otherwise specified in these rules, the game of hockey shall be played in accordance with the rules issued by in International Hockey Federation (FIH) and or any directives to umpires issued by Hockey Australia and or Hockey NSW. 1.2 Any contingencies not provided for in these competition rules, or any variation arising as to their Interpretation shall be considered by the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management for a resolution. 2. ALTERATION TO THE COMPETITION RULES 2.1 Any alterations to these Competition Rules shall be proposed by the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management, in accordance with the Constitution. 3. TYPES OF COMPETITION 3.1 The Far North Coast Hockey Inc. shall conduct competitions for Senior and Junior players with the number of grades to be determined by the Draw Committee following team nominations received and Graded by the Grading Committee. Refer to 3.2 for Grading of teams. (1) Senior - Open to all players. Names of junior competition players wishing to play in senior grades must be submitted for eligibility and grading by the Grading Committee but do not need to be re-graded for their own junior competition. (2) Junior - restricted to players, Under 18 years of age on the 1 st of January of that year. (3) School Students - A non-competitive competition no points being allocated for players attending schools. (4) Summer / Social competition rules are incorporated in the By Laws. 3.2 The competitions shall be run in grades necessary to cover the number of teams nominated. (1) The Grading Committee is responsible for the Grading of all teams. 3.3 Competition Rounds (1) A round shall comprise each team in each grade playing each other team once. (2) The number of rounds to be played shall be determined by the Draw Sub-Committee. (3) Pre-Season games may be played, depending on the number of weeks available prior to Competition Rounds commencing. No points will be given for the Pre-Season games. 4 (4) Competition Rounds refers to rounds associated with the Minor Premiership. (5) Final Series refers to matches played in the Major Premiership 3.4 Competition Points (1) A win shall count three (3) points in all grades. (2) When a match is drawn, each of the teams shall score one (1) point. (3) Should all matches in one division be cancelled, each team shall receive nil (0) points. Matches may be rescheduled by the Draw Committee if grounds and times are available. (4) Any team forfeiting a match shall lose all points for that match, and their opponents shall score three (3) points and be recorded as having a 3-0 win. (5) In the event of both teams forfeiting, nil (0) points will be awarded. (6) For a Bye match, the team shall be awarded nil (0) points. 3.5 Loss of Points (e.g. Un-registered player etc.) (1) During Competition Rounds in the Minor Premiership; teams will lose three (3) points from their point score if: a. playing an un-registered player b. playing a player in a lower grade than that in which that player is registered c. playing a player whose name is not included on the Score Card prior to the commencement of that match d. playing a player who is suspended (2) During Competition Rounds in the Major Premiership; teams in breach of the following will be deemed to lost the match: a. playing an un-registered player b. playing a player in a lower grade than that in which that player is registered c. playing a player whose name is not included on the Score Card prior to the commencement of that match d. playing a player who is suspended 3.6 Duration of Games: (1) MINKEY/UNDER 9 : 20 minutes each way (5 minutes half time) (2) UNDER 11: 25 minutes each way (5 minutes half time) (3) UNDER 13: 25 minutes each way (5 minutes half time) (4) UNDER 15: 25 minutes each way (5 minutes half time) (5) SENIORS: 35 minutes each way (5 minutes half time) (6) Game times can be reviewed and changed when required as recommended by the Draw Committee and confirmed by the Board of Management. 3.7 What constitutes a game: Seniors - 40 Minutes playing time. 5 4. PLAYERS & TEAMS 4.1 Only teams from Clubs affiliated with or invited by Far North Coast Hockey Inc. for competitions organised and conducted by Far North Coast Hockey Inc. 4.2 Team nominations are to be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the first competition game, to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary. 4.3 All players participating in Far North Coast Hockey Inc. competitions must have registered online via the Far North Coast Website or the Hockey NSW Website and all clubs are required to provide to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary a complete list of their players. Information should include: surname, first name, umpire, DOB, phone number and if under 18. These lists shall be on committee supplied team lists or other approved documentation. 4.4 A player wanting to play with FNC but is registered in another state / association, must complete a dual registration form and comply with 4.3. must also register online selecting a Dual Subscription nominating Far North Coast as their secondary association. 4.5 Players must play with the Club of which they are registered members. No player may be registered as a member of more than one Club at the same time in any one Competition. When a Club enters more than one team in the Competition the players shall be registered as members of their respective teams, and not merely as members of their Club. Except for in circumstances referred to in 6.2a and 6.2b 4.6 A player cannot be deregistered they can only be shown as inactive in the Hockey NSW IMG Records. 4.7 Clubs must register a minimum of eleven (11) playing players who are registered and financial with IMG for each team nominated. Each of these eleven (11) players must play on a regular basis with the team in which they are registered. If a player misses four (4) consecutive scheduled games with the team in which they are registered, then that player will need to be replaced but will remain registered in that team (Any regarding s will be as per By Law 2). In extenuating circumstances Clubs have the right of appeal to the Grading Committee. 4.8 During the Competition Rounds a player must play five (5) games with the CLUB they are registered with during the season to qualify for the finals. If the player qualifies for the CLUB they are registered with then the player is eligible to play in the finals in a higher grade/s. 4.9 a) A player may play in grades higher than that in which the player is registered. A player s grading for finals matches shall be the team for which that player has played the majority of games in the Competition Rounds, providing they have played at least five games with the CLUB they are registered with (4.8). See Special Provisions for Goalkeepers 4.11a). In the event that a player has played an equal number of games for more than one team, eligibility is for the highest graded team. b) Players registered in teams that are in a grade where there is a bye then the bye rounds will not impact on periods of suspension or Finals eligibility for any player. 6 c) With respect of games played in specific grades; Clubs may have player s eligibility for the finals series reviewed by the recording secretaries and/or the Board of Management Appeals Committee During the Competition Rounds the Grading Committee has the power to grade players. This privilege for clubs will cease at midnight on the 31 st July of any year. Clubs requesting re-grading or a review of a re-grading shall: (1) Request a review in writing on the Club s Letterhead by midnight Monday to the Grading Committee with reasons for the review. (2) The club to receive in writing notice of result and reasons as soon as practicable During the Competition Rounds no player may play in Senior Grades lower than the grade in which that player is registered, except for rules for Goalkeepers refer 4.11a. 4.11a: A specialist Goalkeeper may apply in writing to the Grading Committee for permission to be graded as a field player or a field player may apply to be a Goalkeeper. In these special circumstances, the player concerned may become a registered player of two teams (with the same Club). If this player relinquishes their position as a designated Goalkeeper then the privileges of this rule cease to apply. The said player will be eligible for finals in both grades provided they have fulfilled the eligibility for each grade During the Competition Rounds where one Club has two (2) teams in the one Grade, they must register eleven (11) players in each team and the Grading Committee will determine the higher graded team. Players from the lower graded team may play up, as per a During the Competition Rounds to have a player regraded or to change a player from one team to the other in the same grade, the Club Secretary must put the request in writing to the Board of Management Secretary, seeking their permission. A reply must be provided by the Grading Committee stating if and/or when the re-grading shall be effective from. Refer to By-law No 2 (Grading Committee) 4.13 Responsibility of captains: In addition to the responsibilities as set out in FIH Rules Book, the captain is required, before signing the card to: i) Check the names of the goal scorers listed, and the score is correct on the card. ii) iii) Ensure that any player named on the card and has not taken the field is crossed off. The players whose names are not crossed off will be recorded as having played in the game. Ensure that Score Card sheets are submitted to the Far North Coast Secretary within fortyeight (48) hours of match completion, to enable correct recording of all information associated with all matches. 7 5 CLEARANCE: (CHANGE OF CLUB WITHIN THE ASSOCIATION) 5.1 Any player desiring to play with a Club other than the one which that player is registered, shall first obtain a clearance from their former Club, before they can be registered as a member of their new Club. 5.2 No Club shall refuse a clearance to a player to play with another Club unless that player is un-financial or has failed to meet in full their commitment to the Club they are leaving. 5.3 The clearance must indicate that the player has met in full their commitment to the Club they are leaving, and must be submitted to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary before they may register with another Club. 5.4 A player has the right of appeal to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc., Board of Management if a clearance is not granted. 6 JUNIOR PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN THE SENIOR COMPETITION A player, playing in any junior competition, may play in the senior competition if: 6.1 During the Competition Rounds the Club must submit for ratification to the Grading Committee the grade they wish to play the player in with 4.9 and 4.10 being effective when: 6.2a The player wishes to play with another team of a Club he/she is not registered with as his/her Club does not have a team playing in the Junior/Senior competition or 6.2b The player has written permission from the Club they are registered with to play with another Club in the Junior/Senior competition, providing this written permission is viewed by the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management prior to the player taking the field. 6.3 If a player is registered member of a junior team then the Club they are registered with may apply to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management for exemption of registration and affiliation fee for the second team with which they play with. 7 CONDUCT OF PLAYERS 7.1 Players must conduct themselves in a proper manner during matches in accordance with the Misconduct Rule of International Hockey Federation (FIH) Rule Book and the Codes of Conduct set by Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management. a. Any player receiving a Green Card shall be temporarily suspended for two (2) minutes, the time shall commence when the player is seated at the control centre. b. A player receiving a Yellow Card will be temporarily suspended; the length of the suspension is for a minimum of five (5) minutes. The exact length of the suspension shall be indicated to the control centre by the umpire who issued the Yellow Card. 8 when the player is seated at the control centre or as otherwise directed by the Umpire or Tech bench of the match. c. When a player is temporarily suspended the game shall immediately start after the issue of the Green Card. d. Any player receiving a Red Card is to appear before the Judiciary Panel. e. Players receiving a Yellow Card - the umpire is to record this on the score card and fill in all particulars. f. For a player receiving a Red Card the umpire is to also record this on the score card and then is required to fill out the written report sheet for the Judiciary. This report is to be delivered to Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary within twenty four (24) hours of the Red Card being given. g. Any player shall appear before the Judiciary after exceeding an allowance of not more than three (3) yellow cards, further: (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) If as a result of a Judiciary resolution over a player having received three (3) yellow cards and the player is warned, that player shall reappear after receiving another yellow card. If as a result of a Judiciary resolution over a player having received three (3) yellow cards and receives a suspension. That player shall re-appear if he/she receives two (2) or more yellow cards. Any player, who abuses the umpire or an official and receives a yellow or red card after the hooter/whistle (when a game is completed), shall appear before the Judiciary Panel. Umpires are to note this on the score card and provide a report as per 7.1. Any player, member of team management who are in the dugout or control area and behaves in a manner that is disrespectful, abusive, rude or menacing in any way towards an Umpire, Tech Bench person/s or opposition player will be reported and may be cited to attend the Judiciary to account for their behaviour. Note: Any player receiving one (1) yellow card during the major competition may, depending on past records in that season s minor competition are required to appear before the Judiciary Panel. Points for Offence System: The following are guidelines for Umpires to allocate a number of points for the seriousness of each Yellow and/or Red card issued. The Umpire must interpret the seriousness of each offence and write a point score next to the reason for the Yellow or Red card on the Match Result sheet. The Umpire must still use their discretion as to the length of time a player is off the field for any temporary suspension and further satisfying themselves that any offence is serious enough to warrant a RED card. 9 YELLOW CARDS Guidelines 3 Point Offences: - Hitting the ball away after an infringement - Deliberately failing to retire 5 yards after a free hit is awarded - Delaying the opponent from taking a free hit - Playing the ball which is above shoulder height - Misconduct and swearing - Deliberate use of the foot to stop the ball - Lazy/casual left side tackle 4 Point Offences: - Barging/tripping/pushing - Late tackle - Swinging stick in tackle - Dangerous/ over aggressive play - Very serious illegal left side tackle (Not Casual) - Bad stick or body tackle 5 Point Offences: - Deliberate left side tackle bringing player down to the ground - Wrestling - Deliberately provoking opponent into retaliating - Retaliating in a situation - Confronting an opponent in a threatening manner - Striking a player with a stick (Red Card consideration) - Running in to get involved in a melee (Red Card consideration) - Derogatory remarks about the umpire - Derogatory comments towards the umpire If a player receives a RED Card, the player CANNOT play in a competition match until the Judiciary Panel has met to issue the relevant penalty. Any player given a RED Card, will be called to the Judiciary and will be able to describe the sequence of events and the circumstances of the Red Card from their perspective. Please Note: If a player is given a second yellow card for the same offence during the match, the Umpire must issue a Red card to the player and the player is suspended for the remainder of the match. Points received for both Yellow cards must be recorded on the Match Results Sheet. 7.2 REFER TO THE DISCPLINARY & JUDICIAL PROCESSES 8 MATCH PLAY 8.1 Matches shall be conducted under the rules of hockey set out in the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Rules Book and or any directives to umpires issued by Hockey Australia and or Hockey NSW. 8.2 Any team who has less than eight (8) players ready for a match at the appointed time shall be deemed to have forfeited the match to their opponents. 8.3 A team shall be required to take the field at the appointed time for the match if they do not have eleven (11) players but has eight (8) or more players present. Late arrival of registered players does not debar them from participation in the game. They should first ensure that their name is recorded Far North Coast Hockey Inc. - Competition Rules - Issue 3. 10 on the score card, and the score card must be completed in full prior to the commencement of the match and not more than eleven (11) players on the field at any one time and those actually recorded on the card will be in accordance with current FIH Rules 8.4 In every match, each team shall provide at least one ball of approved type for play as set out in the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Rules Book. 8.5 At the commencement of the match, the Captains of both teams shall hand to the Umpires or the Tech Bench at any venue a list of players to be engaged in any match. After the completion of the match and the review and signing of the cards by the Umpires and the Captains, the cards will be forwarded to the Recording Secretary for updating of all associated competition records. 8.6 The umpires shall be responsible for allotting Best-and-Fairest points for all Senior Grades during the Minor Rounds.(This will be completed as required depending on variations to any competition) 9 FORFEITS 9.1 A team unable to take the field at the scheduled commencement time of play as stated in the draw shall be deemed to have forfeited the match. 9.2 Any team forfeiting a match shall notify their opponents and the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary of their intention to forfeit as soon as possible, prior to the match. Teams forfeiting will be required to pay the Turf Fees they would have paid for their match (as set at the time) plus a $50.00 Forfeiting Penalty. The notification on the intended forfeit must be made fortyeight (48) hours prior to the scheduled match. If notice is received after forty-eight (48) then the forfeiting side will be liable for the Turf Fees (as set at the time) for both sides plus the $50.00 Forfeit Penalty. These costs will be invoiced to the forfeiting club. 9.3 Every effort must be made to avoid unnecessary travelling in forfeited matches. 9.4 Any team playing on the turf, and forfeiting a match without notifying their opponents, shall be liable to pay the turf fees for both teams to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management. Refer to Clause 3.4 (4) any team playing on the grass forfeiting a match without notifying the opposition shall pay a set fine to Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management. (The penalty will be reviewed and determined annually and applied at the discretion Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of management) 9.5 Clubs will provide a list of contact details for each of their sides to assist in the management of communications around sides forfeiting. 9.6 Should such forfeit be due to exceptional circumstances, the Club, or team concerned may appeal to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Appeals Committee for consideration of a rematch or an exemption to pay turf fees. Far North Coast Hockey Inc. - Competition Rules - Issue 3. ( ) Page 10 of 16

11 10 DEFERMENTS AND TIME RESCHEDULING DATE DEFERMENTS 10.1 The Club requesting a deferment is required to apply in writing twenty one (21) days prior to the original match date to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary Subject Applications for deferments shall have at least five (5) members of any team representing either Far North Coast, PSSA, Secondary Schools, NSW or Australia in Hockey. Significant other events will be considered with regard deferments but these will not include Weddings or other similar celebrations such as 0 Birthdays. TIME RESCHEDULING 10.3 In addition to delegations provided by Rule 11.7 of these rules. The Draw and Umpiring Committees with just cause may reschedule a match (time and venue) after having circulated the completed seasons draw The rescheduled match shall be played or nil (0) points will be awarded to both teams. 11 INCLEMENT WEATHER 11.1 In the event of inclement weather, the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management shall decide whether play is possible The Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management shall have the power to co-opt assistance from persons at outside venues, so as to ascertain the condition of fields at that venue The Draw Committee shall if required play split rounds if only some grounds are unplayable. postponed games will be rescheduled In the event that all or any of the games are not possible, the decision will be posted on the FNC Website as soon as practicable If in the event that due to, unforeseen circumstances or sudden weather change, prior to or after the commencement of a match, play is not possible to continue, or games are abandoned before the commencement of the second half due to inclement weather, the match/s shall be rescheduled on a date specified A game shall be considered abandoned, if, the umpires, in consultations with the Captains, decide that continuation of play is undesirable or impossible. The score of an abandoned game shall stand and points shall be awarded subject to Clause Games postponed due to inclement weather are not counted as games played for the purpose of suspended players Far North Coast Hockey Inc. - Competition Rules - Issue 3. 12 11.8 LIGHTNING RULE 12 UMPIRING The Lightning Safety Code adopted by Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management applies to all competitions The Lightning Safety Code is based on the 30/30 rule which calls for play to be stopped when the lightning/thunder ratio reaches 30 seconds or less i.e. the time between when the lightning is seen and the thunder is heard is 30 seconds or less. This indicates that the lightning is 10 km away and the next strike has a significant risk of hitting people which have seen the lightning and heard the thunder Play shall not commence until 30 minutes after the last lightning flash within the 30/30 ratio All grading, competition and finals matches shall be controlled by umpires appointed by the Umpiring Committee Clubs shall be responsible for providing a minimum of two (2) umpires per team as directed by the Umpiring Committee (a) Any A Grade umpire unable to officiate at a Competition fixture must advise the Umpire Committee as soon as practical before the allocated match. Any umpire other an A Grade unable to officiate at a competition fixture must seek his/her replacement of similar ability etc. (b) Failure of an umpire to officiate will result in the team in which they are registered with having three (3) points deducted Umpires/Technical Bench shall ensure that score cards are completed, showing: i. Names of players taking the field are written on the card ii. Names of Interchange players not taking the field must be crossed off the card by the Captain of each team and Umpires are to ensure same is completed accurately and honestly at the completion of the game iii. Names of any players sent from the field iv. Names of all goal scorers v. The final score vi. Any injuries to players vii. Signatures of umpires and team captains viii. Allocate 3, 2, 1 Best-and-Fairest Points for the game 12.5 An umpire suspending a player from further participation in a game must record the incident on the scorecard and must submit a written report to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Secretary within twenty four (24) hours of the incident Any spectator, behaving inappropriately at a Far North Coast Hockey fixture shall be subject to the following conditions: Far North Coast Hockey Inc. - Competition Rules - Issue 3. 13 (i) (ii) (iii) The spectator shall be instructed by the umpire to remove him/herself from the vicinity; If any spectator refuses to do so, the match shall be stopped and the captain of the team which the spectator supports shall be instructed by the umpire that the match will not continue until the spectator abides with the ruling. If required security or police are called to remove the spectator/s 13 UNIFORM 13.1 The Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management must approve of all Clubs colours and uniforms prior to the use thereof by any Club, affiliated with the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Such application for approval of uniforms and colours shall be accompanied by a sample of such uniforms and a sample of the materials to be used Any player not dressed in the approved uniform of their team, could be prohibited by the Umpire/s from taking part in the match. All bike pants and skins etc.; should be the same length as the skirt or shorts and of similar colour In any match, if both teams have a similar uniform, the team first named in the draw, shall wear shirts or pinnies and/or socks of a different colour to the opposition. 14 COMPLAINTS, RECOMMENDATIONS, PROTESTS (Refer By-laws) 14.1 All complaints and recommendations relating to any matter shall be made in writing by the Club Secretary to the Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management, who shall submit the written complaint to the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management for consideration The Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management shall have power at any time to call upon any member of a Club affiliated or spectator to attend a meeting to give such information in regard to any matter under the control of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of management. (a) (b) All matters pertaining to a match and managed by umpires shall be heard by the Judiciary as detailed in Rule 7.1. For matters that are brought about by letters of complaint, video evidence or other form of information that would support the citing of an individual/s and are not associated with a matter already being pursued by the Judiciary Committee will automatically go to the full Board General Meeting or Special Meeting if required (a) Any protest in connection with a match or competition shall within twenty four (24) hours of the completion of such match or competition be made in writing by the Club Secretary to the Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management, who shall forward the protest to the relevant subcommittee for consideration. (b) The subcommittee shall consider the written protest in accordance with the by-laws of Far North Coast Hockey Inc. - Competition Rules - Issue 3. ( ) Page 13 of 16

14 that committee and advise the Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management of the resolution. (c) (d) The Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management will advise the club submitting the protest of the outcome Should the club wish to appeal they must within forty eight (48) hours lodge an appeal in writing to the Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management and the Appeal Meeting will be held only when a $ payment is secured by FNC Hockey that may (depending on the legitimacy of the appeal) be forfeited if the appeal is lost or withdrawn within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled meeting. The Board of Management Secretary will notify the Appeals Committee. (Refer: Appeals Committee By-laws) 14.4 The Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management, shall convene, at the earliest opportunity, a meeting of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management to consider the protest and determine any penalty deemed necessary and whose decision shall be final Any person concerned with the outcome of such protest shall be eligible to appear before the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management in connection with the matters raised. The notice to be given to the Secretary of the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management shall contain the reasons for such protest. The Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management, at such meeting, shall only to deal with the matter/s raised in the written protest and no further matter/s shall be brought forward at such meeting. 15 TROPHIES 15.1 At the completion of the competition and finals rounds, trophies shall be awarded to winning teams of the Minor and Major Premiership Perpetual Trophies will be engraved and retained by the Far North Coast Hockey Inc. Board of Management Awards may be made to all players of the winning teams of the Minor and Major Premiership A Club Championship Trophy shall be awarded to the Club which has been the most successful in the Competition Rounds during the season. 16 DECLARATION OF WINNER 16.1 At the completion of the pre-determined number of Competition Rounds the winner shall be the team which has scored the greatest number of points In the event of teams being equal on points at the completion of the Competition Rounds, prior to the semi-finals the four (4) place getters will be determined as follows: By goal difference, i.e.: goals for minus goals against. 15 If this does not yield a decision then total goals scored If this still does not yield a decision then a play-off will take place and the Drop Off Rule will apply. 17 DECLARATION OF WINNER FINALS 17.1 Finals matches shall be played for each grade as follows: The team standing third on the points score list shall play the team standing fourth on the list in the MINOR SEMI-FINAL The team standing first on the list shall play the team standing second on the list in the MAJOR SEMI-FINAL The winner of the minor semi-final shall play the loser of the major semi-final in the PRELIMINARY FINAL The winner of the major semi-final shall play the winner of the preliminary final in the GRAND FINAL SENIOR GRADES: If at the completion of any finals match a result has not been determined, then the DROP OFF Rule shall be played. - JUNIOR GRADES: If at the completion of any finals match a result has not been determined, then the DROP OFF Rule shall be played. DROP OFF RULE At the end of the game and prior to the commencement of the drop off both teams will have a 3 minute break. (Substitutes in the drop off period must do so at the centre line). If a goal is scored during any part of the drop off time, the game will cease, and the team scoring the goal is the winner.
