2 SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE page 2 Introduction The Cochrane Generals Junior B Hockey Club is a non-profit organization that relies on community and corporate support to help offset our costs. Some of our costs associated with running a Junior Hockey Team include ice time, equipment, travel expenses, and wage payment to officials. It is important for us to offset these costs with your help, allowing us to keep expenses for our young athletes as low as possible; many of them are attending university or entering the work force for the first time. As part of the Heritage Junior Hockey League, the Cochrane Generals represents an opportunity for athletes between the age of 17 and 21 to continue playing a competitive level of hockey while pursuing higher education or a career. This sponsorship package will familiarize you with various opportunities to support the Cochrane Generals. Please take time to read it. Your interest and commitment are what makes this team possible. Vision The Cochrane Generals Hockey Club has a mission to build and maintain a thriving organization constructed around the community of Cochrane. The most important part of this vision is to provide the essential tools to our players allowing them to develop not only their next stage within the sport of Hockey but to equip them with self-improvement and team skills important in all other life pursuits. Our organization is invested in innovation, ambition, and excellence. We believe that maintaining the Cochrane Generals as a premier franchise within the HJHL represents a rich investment in our local community spirit and identity. Most importantly though, the Cochrane Generals Hockey Club is an investment in our youth and the future they bring with them. Community Involvement Throughout each season the players and staff of the Generals organization are committed to giving back to the town of Cochrane. As a way for the Generals to be involved in all levels of the Cochrane Minor Hockey Association, the Generals hosted Minor Hockey Nights. Teams were invited to enjoy a Generals game of their choice with free admission, souvenir programs, pizza, and drinks. At the conclusion of the game, the minor hockey teams go behind the scenes and meet the Generals players in their dressing room. During the season, the Generals participated in the Cochrane Parade, Outhouse Races and Cochrane WinterFest. As a way for the Generals to give back, a game in October was dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and another in November to Movember. In the October game, the Generals organization donated its 50/50 proceeds to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. In November, all players and bench staff participated in Movember, raising money for Movember Canada. At Christmas, the Generals also donated 100 game passes to the Cochrane Activettes as stocking-stuffers.

Your business will be promoted locally in the arena as well as online. Through the association of your brand with the Cochrane Generals, our website will provide your company with a reach to Generals fans across Canada. From within the arena, your company ad will receive a full page in our program that is sold at all Home Games. Not only will game attendees familiarize themselves with your company from within the arena, they will also have their take home souvenir to continue your company s influence outside the arena. If the visual and take home aspects weren t enough, your company will be announced at various times throughout the three periods at all Home Games. This added feature expands on the visual components to create an auditory association of your company and the Cochrane Generals. The presentation of physical, visual, and auditory stimuli to fans will provide them with a familiarization of your company. This familiarization will create quick recall within their memory when thinking about the services your company provides. Your involvement with our team is substantially appreciated; with this package you will also be included as part of our year-end Thank-You s in the Cochrane newspapers. This will highlight your commitment to the community of Cochrane and the values it stands for, in a way distinctly superior to regular marketing and commercialism. As part of our appreciation for premier sponsors, you will also receive four season passes to take in the action at the Spray Lakes Arena along with two invitations to our annual Generals Golf Tournament (complimentary green fees, cart, and meal). During a couple of Home Games your company s name with be announced as the provider of the game s starting lineup. The benefit of this package is introducing your company name with the fans at the beginning of the game; they will be fresh and attentive. The starting lineup is always important to fans; this will create a greater focus when your company is announced. In addition to the announcement, your company will also have a quarter page ad space in our Generals program. The Generals program is sold at every Home Game, which gives your company the opportunity to establish consistent exposure throughout the season. We are proud of our organization and would like to have you observe what your sponsorship allows us to create; two season passes will be provided to your company free of charge with this package.
