Demetrios Rotisserie Hockey Pool Rules September A list of all rules and calculations that apply to the league The hockey pool rules that govern the current season [Draft]

Section 1: Roster, Statistics, Web Sites and Ranking A. The Basics 1. A team is composed of any combination of defensemen and forwards 2. There is no minimum or maximum roster size (the average roster size is 18) 3. All players will collect one point for a goal and one point for each assist 4. For both the regular and playoff seasons, the best 15 players for each owner will determine the owners ranking in each season 5. A valid season is one in which each NHL team plays at least 42 games 6. The owner rankings at the end of the regular season, plus the results of the lottery draft, determine the order of selection at the Summer Draft 7. If an NHL team, moves, is contracted, or has its operations suspended and players on that team then decide to play in another league or retire, the owners of those players are not entitled to any special compensation B. Lockout/Strike Rules 1. In the event of a lockout or strike prior to the start of the NHL season, free agent wire will be closed 2. If the NHL cancels the regular season and the playoff season then: (I) A credit for the full fee will be given to each owner, minus any free agent or rental claims already made (II) Any playoff picks acquired via trade will remain with the owner who acquired the picks (III) All players will be ranked with 0 points and there will be no summer draft (IV) The process to claim free agent players will be opened and will follow the last known priority order before the lockout or strike took effect (V) Only players that have been signed or NHL drafted prior to the strike or lockout year are eligible to be claimed as free agents. Newly NHL drafted players will not be eligible (Crosby rule) (VI) Only players that have been signed or NHL drafted prior to the strike or lockout year are eligible to be claimed as rentals. Newly NHL drafted players will not be eligible (Crosby rule) (VII) All other free agent and rental rules will apply (VIII) Trading will be allowed during the lockout/strike period 3. If the NHL teams have a regular season of less than 42 games then: (I) A credit for the regular season portion of the fee will be given to each owner, minus any free agent or rental claims already made (II) No regular season prizes will be awarded (III) Regular season statistics will only be used to determine the order of the playoff draft (IV) All players will be ranked with 0 points and there will be no summer draft (V) If the regular season has not already started, the process to claim free agents will be opened briefly for owners to use before the season starts (VI) The process to claim free agent players will follow the last known priority order before the lockout or strike was in effect (VII) Trading will be opened and will stay open until the day before the shortened regular season starts (VIII) If the regular season was not already started, the process to rent player will be allowed (IX) Once the shortened regular season ends then free agent process and trading will be opened again (X) The process to claim a free agent will continue to follow the last known priority order before the shortened regular season started. (XI) Only players that have been signed or drafted prior to the strike or lockout year are eligible to be claimed. Newly NHL drafted players will not be eligible (Crosby rule) (XII) All other free agent wire rules will apply. 4. No compensation will be given to any owner for any player that has become injured or which has decided to retire or play in another league during this time.

C. Statistics 1. Currently, this website contains unofficial pool statistics, which are usually updated daily 2. In the future if this website becomes unavailable, either a free web site will be found or statistics will be kept in Excel and made available on a weekly basis 3. All statistics will be verified at the end of the NHL regular and playoff seasons 4. All statistics will be verified using the information provided at nhl.com or if that site is not available then at thn.com D. Tie Breaking 1. If there is a tie between any number of owners at the end of the season then the following rules will be used to break the tie: (I) The best 10 players (II) If a tie still exists, the best 5 players (III) If a tie still exists, the best 4 players (IV) If a tie still exists, the best 3 players (V) If a tie still exists, the best 2 players (VI) If a tie still exists, the best player (VII) If a tie still exists, the best 14 players (VIII) If a tie still exists, the best 13 players (IX) If a tie still exists, the best 12 players (X) If a tie still exists, the best 11 players (XI) If a tie still exists, the best 9 players (XII) If a tie still exists, the best 8 players (XIII) If a tie still exists, the best 7 players (XIV) If a tie still exists, the best 6 players (XV) If a tie still exists, the best 15 players (XVI) If a tie still exists, the best 16 players (XVII) If a tie still exists, the best 17 players (XVIII) If a tie still exists, the best 18 players, and so on Section 2: Joining and Leaving the Pool A. Becoming and 1. There will be a maximum of 15 owners in the pool (I) The 15 th team will only be available to Peter Lirantzis if he should decide to rejoin the pool as an expansion team by the summer of A prospective owner can negotiate with any current owner to purchase their team at a mutually determined value 3. A prospective owner can take over a defaulted owner's team (I) When a current owner decides that they no longer want to participate in the pool or that they have been negligent, therefore, their team has become defaulted, anyone who does not currently own a team can become the new owner (II) If the new owner should take over the team during the off season, continue with rule iv (III) If the new owner should take over the team during the regular or post season, all arbitration will wait until the first day of the off season begins (IV) The owner of the defaulted team cannot make any deals until all they have gone through New Arbitration (V) All owners who are ranked based on the previous regular season statistics can opt to go through New Arbitration versus the defaulted team

(VI) The order of arbitration is based from the lowest ranked owner to the highest ranked owner who has the equivalent or lesser ranking of the defaulted team (VII) This process will be witnessed by a neutral third party. All materials used will be made available if an owner wishes to examine them. (VIII) If an owner has decided to go through arbitration the owner of the defaulted team must list their roster of players in descending order based on the number of points each player accumulated in the previous regular season (IX) If a tie exists between two (2) or more players the owner decides the order of those players (X) The arbitrating owner then must list their roster of players in descending order based on the number of points each player accumulated in the previous regular season (XI) If a tie exists between two (2) or more players the owner decides the order of those players (XII) If one of the two owners has more players than the other, those extra players will be removed from that owner's list (XIII) The owner of the defaulted team will have one (1) veto per each arbitration case (XIV) The arbitrating owner will have two (2) vetoes per each arbitration case (XV) The arbitrating owner has the option to stop the arbitrating process at any point previous to a number being generated. If the process is terminated then the next owner can go to arbitration, go to rule viii (XVI) If the New Arbitration process has not been terminated, a number will be randomly generated (XVII) The number will represent the row in which the players will be switched (XVIII) To generate the random number, all possible values will be written on paper, placed in a container or hat, the numbers will be mixed and a person will select a single piece of paper (XIX) The owner of the defaulted team, if they have not used their only veto, must decide if they want to use a veto for this selection (XX) If the owner of the defaulted team decided to use their veto then go back to rule xv (XXI) If the owner of the defaulted team accepts the random number generated, the arbitrating owner, if they have not used all of their vetoes, must decide if they want to use a veto for this selection (XXII) If the arbitrating owner decided to use a veto then go back to rule xv (XXIII) If both owners have accepted the randomly generated number then the effected players will be switched and the next owner can go to arbitration, go to rule viii 4. A prospective owner can petition for an expansion team (I) If granted unanimous approval from all the current owners, the new owner of an expansion team will select 18 players that are not currently on another owners roster (II) The owner of the expansion team will also be given three (3) playoff picks (III) The owner of the expansion team cannot trade their players and/or draft picks until the current season completes (IV) The owner of the expansion team will be required to pay ten dollars ($10) in their first season with the pool. This ten dollars will go directly into the playoff season pot (V) The owner of the expansion team will be required to pay half the pool fee as defined in rule Section 3.A.3 for the second season. This money will be divided as per the fee percentages between the regular and playoff season pots as define in rule Section 3.A.3 (VI) The owner of the expansion team will be required to pay the full pool fee as defined in rule Section 3.A.3 for the third season (VII) The owner of the expansion team must pay for the first three years in advance (VIII) The owner of the expansion team will then pay the full pool fee as defined in rule Section 3.A.3 for every additional season B. Terminating ship

Section 3: 1. An owner can choose to sell their team (I) You cannot sell your team to a current owner (II) The amount you sell your team for is to be negotiated by yourself and the future new owner 2. An owner's team can enter into default (I) Your team is in default when you cannot find a new owner to take over or you have been negligent and forced to terminate ownership 3. A defaulted team will be dissolved (I) If no new owner can be found to take over a defaulted team then the team will be dissolved in the following manner (II) Before the first available summer draft, 5 players will be released as free agents (i) The 5 players will be determined as the fifth best, the tenth best and the lowest three players from the defaulted team, unless there are players who have retired. Retired players will have precedence if they can fulfill any of these requirements (ii) If there are 14 or more owners, the 5 players will be determined as the fourth best, the eighth best, twelfth best and the lowest two players from the defaulted team, unless there are players who have retired. Retired players will have precedence if they can fulfill any of these requirements (III) Before the second summer draft, 5 players will be released as free agents (i) The 5 players will be determined as the fifth best, the tenth best and the lowest three players from the defaulted team, unless there are players who have retired. Retired players will have precedence if they can fulfill any of these requirements (ii) If there are 14 or more owners, the 5 players will be determined as the fourth best, the eighth best, twelfth best and the lowest two players from the defaulted team, unless there are players who have retired. Retired players will have precedence if they can fulfill any of these requirements (IV) Before the third summer draft, the remainder of the roster will all be released as free agents (V) If there is a tie between players at any of those positions then the ranking will be determined by, games played (descending), then by last name (ascending), then by first name (ascending) (VI) Players that remain on the roster of the dissolved team cannot be taken during a summer draft, through waivers, through an expansion draft or through a playoff draft. s must wait until they are released as free agents Fees, Payments, Prizes and League Calculations A. Fees 1. All fees will be put into a bank account to collect interest 2. The interest collect will be allocated for the administration of the pool and organization of the Summer Draft 3. The current fee is one hundred dollars ($100) for each owner. Please see Section 2.A.4 for expansion team fees 4. This is divided into 65%, or $65, for the regular season and 35%, or $35, for the playoff season 5. The regular season pot will be worth 65$ multiplied by all non-expansion team owners plus any expansion team fees 6. The playoff season pot will be calculated as the rest of the money in the account 7. Each free agent claim that was initiated in the 72 hour period and a player was dropped to finalize the claim immediately will cost $5 to the owner who obtained the player 8. Each free agent claim that was initiated in the 72 or 48 hour period, not finalized and the owner chose to walk away from the claim by dropping the player claimed, the claim will cost $5 to the owner who obtained the player 9. All other free agent claims will cost $10 to the owner who obtains the player 10. Each In-Season player rental will cost $20 to the owner who obtains the player.

11. If the player to be dropped in a free agent or In-Season rental claim was picked up from the free agent pool in the current season then that owner will be charged an additional $5 12. Sixty-five percent (65%) of the money collected from the free agent wire and In-Season player rental will go the regular season prize pool, the remaining thirty-five percent (35%) will go to the playoff prize pool. These amounts will be distributed as indicated in Section 3.C - Prizes. 13. All money generated from the free agent wire and In-Season player rental will be accounted for B. Payments 1. All payments must be made in full at the regular season draft or expansion draft 2. This includes any free agent or rental debts from the past season 3. Failure to do so will result in the temporarily exclusion in the regular season draft and/or putting your team in default 4. If an owner is temporarily excluded from the regular season draft, the selection of drop players will be calculated as the fifth best, the tenth best, and the lowest three players from that owners roster that satisfy the lowest draft pick that they have traded or projected to maintain 5. The draft will continue as normal, passing over the temporarily excluded owner's selection 6. The temporarily excluded owner will be allowed to select their players once they have paid the full pool fee 7. If there is a prospective owner at the draft who wishes to take over the temporarily excluded/defaulted team, and the prospective owner has the full pool fee, and a majority of the other owners agree to the switch, then the prospective owner will take over the team immediately and go into New Arbitration as defined in Section 2.A.3. The Regular season draft will continue as per normal afterwards C. Prizes 1. For both the regular and playoff seasons the first place team will receive fifty percent (50%) of that seasons pot (I) If there are 14 or more owners, minus five ($5) dollars from the first place prizes 2. For both the regular and playoff season the second place team will receive twenty-five percent (25%) of that seasons pot (I) If there are 14 or more owners, minus five ($5) dollars from the second place prizes 3. For both the regular and playoff seasons the third place team will receive fifteen percent (15%) of that seasons pot (I) If there are 14 or more owners, minus five ($5) dollars from the third place prizes 4. For both the regular and playoff season the fourth place team will receive ten percent (10%) of that seasons pot (I) If there are 14 or more owners, minus five ($5) dollars from the fourth place prizes 5. The $40 dollars that was re-allocated from the other prizes will fund a prize for the fifth place team in the regular season only 6. If there are any ties between owners who would obtain winnings, the money involved will be pooled and divided up equally between the owner that were tied (just like golf) 7. All prizes will be awarded at the next Summer draft. D. Minimum Competitive Level 1. All owners are responsible to keep their teams competitive for reasons of league stability and fair play 2. Each owner's team must achieve half a point per team games played (0.5 points / NHL team games) for the regular season (I) Expansion teams in their first year must achieve thirtieth of a point per team games played (0.3 points / NHL team games) for the regular season (II) Expansion teams in their second year must achieve fortieth of a point per team games played (0.4 points / NHL team games) for the regular season

(III) Expansion teams in the third year must achieve forty-fifth of a point per team games played (0.45 points / NHL team games) for the regular season 3. The calculation is based on NHL team games played. Not player games played 4. The minimum competitive level is based on a 15 player team. If an owner has less than 15 players on their roster they are still responsible to achieve the same minimum level of points 5. If there is a shortened season or the NHL changes the total number of games played in a year, the minimum point level will be adjusted accordingly and automatically 6. Expansion teams within their first three years of existence are exempt from the half a point per team game evaluation but must meet a lesser minimum point level see rule Section 3.D.2.I to III 7. Minimum Competitive Level rules are applied before the Draft rules 8. All owners will continue to retain the lottery number percentages that they have earned regardless of any penalties resulting from the minimum competitiveness level rules 9. If all owners achieve the minimum competitive point level, the owner who wins the lottery draft will only be able to move up a maximum of three (3) draft positions in the first round 10. If one or more owners do not achieve the minimum competitive point level and the total difference between each of their team points and the minimum point level is greater than 50 points, then the owner who wins the lottery draft will have the first overall pick 11. If one or more owners do not achieve the minimum competitive point level and the total difference between each of their team points and the minimum point level is less than or equal to 50 points, then the number of draft positions the winner of the lottery draft can move up remains set at three (3) 12. Teams that do not meet the minimum competitive point level will be shifted away, an equal number of ranks, to bring teams that have complied, to a rank that temporarily owns the better draft position (I) Example, if one team does not meet the minimum competitive point level then it will be shifted away by one rank (II) Example, if two teams do not meet the minimum competitive point level then they will be shifted away by two ranks 13. If there are two or more teams that have not met the minimum competitive point level they will be inversely ranked after they have been shifted 14. The Draft rules will be applied after all minimum competitiveness level penalties have been determined E. Draft 1. At the conclusion of the regular season the winner of the lottery draft will be determined 2. The winner of the lottery draft will be one of the owners who did not win a prize in the regular season 3. In case of a tie between two or more owners the tie breaking rules in Section 1. D will apply to determine which owner is ranked higher than the other(s) 4. If the owners who are tied won prizes in the regular season and they would have been assigned a number range for the lottery draft, those ranges will be allocated to the last place owner instead 5. A random value, out of 100 (modulo 100); will be determined by summing up all the owners totals of their top 15 players. The last two digits of that result will determine the lottery draft winner 6. s who are ranked lower from the regular season standings will receive a greater chance of winning the lottery draft. See Appendix A for the Percentage schedule and Appendix B for the numbers assigned to each owner. 7. The owner who owns the number of the calculated random lottery value is the winner of the lottery draft 8. The owner who won the lottery draft will move up 9. The number of ranks the lottery draft winner will move up depends on the evaluation of the Minimum Competitiveness rules. (See Section 3.D)

Section 4: 10. s who were ranked ahead of the lottery draft winner will be shifted down one position in only the first round of the summer draft 11. The order of all the other rounds in the summer draft remain unchanged 12. The order of the playoff draft is unchanged Activities A. Free Agency 1. Fourteen (14) days before the Summer Draft is to take place, owners must determine which of their players are to become free agents 2. A team will have a minimum number of 5 free agents (I) s can decide to release more than 5 players if they so desire (II) Any player that was acquired via In-season rentals must be released. (See Section 4.E) 3. s must release the following: (I) One of their five best players (II) One of their ten best players (III) Three or more other players 4. Each owner receives a draft pick for each player released (I) If an owner decides to trade a 6th round Summer draft pick or greater, then they must release the equivalent number of players 5. If an owner's roster has players that are tied with the same number of points, the owner has the option to decide the order of their players 6. Please see Section 4.C to see how Trading impacts Free Agency 7. Please see Section 1.B if the NHL encounters a strike or lockout 8. Please see Section 4.E to see how In-Season Rental impacts Free Agency B. Summer Draft 1. The summer draft will be held on the same weekend as the NHL Entry Draft (I) If that weekend is not possible then the summer draft will be held at a mutually acceptable day and time before July 1st 2. The order of selection the first round will be determined by a lottery. The lottery will potentially move a single owner up in the draft.(see Section 3) 3. The order of selection for all subsequent rounds will go from last to first as determined by the owner ranking at the end of the previous NHL regular season (See Section 1.A) 4. There will be a minimum of 5 draft rounds. See Section 4.A to determine how Free Agency impacts the Summer draft 5. Only players that have been drafted or signed as free agents by an NHL team and are not currently on another owners roster are eligible for selection (I) The only exception is if a regular season of less than 42 games was played (See Section 1.B to determine the eligibility of newly drafted NHL players in the event of a prolonged strike or lockout) 6. s will have a reasonable amount of time to make their selection, however, if a particular owner is found to be taking a long time to make his selection then a strict time limit of three minutes will be imposed on them 7. If an owner has been imposed with the three-minute time limit and they have failed to make their selection in time then the next owner can proceed to make their selection 8. s must pay the yearly fee of $100 at the draft 9. Please see Section 4.C to see how Trading impacts the Summer draft 10. Please see Section 1.B if the NHL encounters a strike or lockout C. Trading

1. Trading will be allowed as soon as the NHL playoffs start (I) A trade made during the NHL playoffs will have no effect until the playoffs have completed (II) The purpose for allowing trades to be made during the playoffs is to have more time to deal before each owner has to determine their free agents (III) All owners accept that there is no compensation if an injury occurs to a player that was part of a trade during the playoffs 2. A valid deal must clearly indicate the exact picks and/or players involved in the transaction (I) If any information is missing or ambiguous then the trade will not be processed by the league. (II) If there is a disagreement as to who made a deal, the earliest recorded and valid communication shall be the determining factor (the Joy rule) 3. Trading will be closed at three distinct times: (I) It will be closed for a brief period of time when owners are to submit their list of free agents. Trading will be reopened when all free agent lists have been submitted (II) It will be closed for a brief period of time prior to the Summer Draft so draft sheets can be prepared without last minute changes. Trading will be reopened when all owners gather at the Summer draft (III) It will be closed at 11:59pm the night prior to the start of the next NHL regular season 4. Trading is only allowed between two owners. No Three or Four way trades 5. s can trade any combination of players and current draft picks, including playoff draft picks, but cannot trade future draft picks or money 6. s cannot trade for players or draft picks that they traded away, unless the player or pick in question has been: (I) Traded to another owner (II) Has been declared a free agent and then was selected in the Summer draft or acquired through the Free Agent wire (III) A new NHL regular season has been completed since the trade occurred 7. Conditional trades will not be accepted by the league 8. There are 4 types of conditional deals and each will not be accepted (time based, best of, restrictions and futures) (I) Time based - an owner cannot put a future time or future actions to activate a deal. An owner cannot place a condition that the deal between him and another owner only be announced at a certain time in the future. An owner cannot place a condition that a deal between him and another owner only be activated if another owner makes a future deal. You either have made a deal or you haven't. The league and commissioner will not act as a scheduler of future deals. (II) Best of - an owner cannot indicate in a trade that another owner gets the best of a group of picks (most likely playoff picks). A valid deal must clearly indicate the exact picks and/or players involved in the transaction. Allowing for "Best of" deals will only add to the confusion of what owners have and have not. (III) Restrictions - an owner cannot place a restriction on the other owner as part of the conditions of a deal. No one can control the future actions of another owner. The league and commissioner will not enforce or police any such actions. (IV) Futures - an owner cannot trade those things they do not already have in their possession. You cannot trade away the possibility of other picks of players that they do not already have allocated to them. An owner can only trade away what they have at that point in time. 9. There is no monetary cost to make a trade 10. There is no voting for acceptance of a trade

11. In the case where a player from an open free agent claim is being traded then the owner who made the claim must declare a drop player immediately or the trade will not be processed 12. In the case an unbalanced trade has been made and the team that is losing the extra player is bloated then they must confirm with the commissioner that they accept the trade. They have the option to back out without penalty 13. If and only if, there is a fear of owners colluding shall a trade be under investigation (I) If it can be shown that the owners conduct is detrimental to the Rotisserie Pool the proposed trade shall be rejected (II) A vote shall be taken where the requirement for passing the trade is half the members of the pool plus two D. Free Agent Wire 1. From noon on the day after the completion of the Summer Draft to approximately one week before the NHL Regular season start date (a 7:00pm deadline) of that season an owner can replace a player from his roster by claiming a player that is not owned by any other owner, under the following conditions 2. A free agent wire claiming ladder will be initially formed as determined by the owner ranking at the end of the previous NHL regular season. (See Section 1.A.4) (I) The lowest ranked owner has the first option to claim. However, any owner can make a claim at any time while the free agent wire is open (II) The sorting of the ladder will then be based on the number of successful claims made, then by any ladder jump compensation, then by the order of the successful claims. 3. There are three distinct time limits (I) Between the end of the Summer Draft to Labour Day, the time limit to respond to a claim is 72 hours. A claim made during this period can allow the drop player to deferred to the start of the first NHL training camp (II) Between the end of the Labour Day long weekend to the first day of an NHL training camp, the time limit to respond to a claim is 48 hours. A claim made during this period can allow the drop player to deferred to the start of the first NHL training camp (III) Between the start of training camp to the Free Agent Wire deadline, the time limit to respond to a claim is 24 hours. All claims must include the drop player to be valid. The drop player cannot be deferred (IV) During any long weekend holiday any open waiver wire claims will be frozen. (V) If there are multiple claims open at any time and the resolution of one claim alters the ladder order for remaining claims significantly then the time limit on the remaining claims will be reset. All responses to the remaining claims are still valid. 4. To make a claim an owner must at a minimum (I) Declare clearly to all other owners the player they are wishing to claim (II) The owner can also declare the player they wish to drop as part of the claim or may choose to defer the selection of the drop player. The associated costs can be found in Section 3.A) (III) The claim can be sent to only the commissioner (or commissioner in charge) but it will only be processed when first viewed and the deadline will be adjusted for the posted day and time. Not the day and time that it was sent. (IV) If any information on the claim is missing or ambiguous then it will be rejected (V) The claim can be in the form of an notice or a voice message left at with the commissioner or acting commissioner (VI) Because of the two communication mediums, the claim will be validated by time stamp before proceeding

5. To successfully claim the player all the other owners that are ranked higher on the waiver ladder must have passed on the player 6. To avoid major delays, all owners that were ranked higher on the waiver ladder than the owner who is making the claim must respond within the time limit from the point in time of the posted notice of the claim (I) The owners do not have to enter their responses in any order, but the claim will still go to the highest waiver ladder ranked owner that wants the player (II) In the spirit of good sportsmanship, once reading the posted claim an owner should make his decision known as soon as possible. This is especially true when the waiver deadline approaches 7. When a claim is successful if the owner declared the drop player as part of the claim then the owner releases the player indicated in the claim to make room for the free agent player 8. When a claim is successful and the owner chose to defer on deciding the player to drop they have until the start of the first NHL training camp to declare the player to drop 9. If the owner chose to defer on deciding who the drop player should be and the start of the first NHL training camp has passed then the player that was claimed will automatically be released from that owners roster 10. All players automatically released are free to be claimed by any other owner 11. If another owner does not pass on the player in question, that owner who stole the claim must follow the same rules for fulfilling the claim and (I) The owner who made the original claim has the option to obtain a 4th round Playoff Draft pick issued by the league or to jump up in the ladder position as compensation for losing the claim to another owner (II) The ladder jump compensation is based on the position of the owner who stole the claim, but is applied to the owner who made the original claim within the major grouping of how many successful claims they made. 12. The owner who has succeeded in obtaining the claimed player then gets placed at the bottom of the claiming ladder, within the group of how many successful claims they have made. 13. Players selected from the free agent wire where the claim was finalized and the player remained on the owners roster can be traded and can also be dropped back into the pool of free agent players. Please see Section 3.A for fee details) 14. Players selected from the free agent wire where the claim is not finalized yet can be traded to another owner but the owner who was successful in making the claim must immediately drop a player or the trade will not be processed 15. Because teams can become bloated with players from incomplete claims, any trade that is unbalance must be confirmed with the commissioner (or acting commissioner). If the owner who is losing the extra roster player decides to back out the trade will be cancelled. There will be no penalty for backing out of a trade 16. The cost of a free agent claim is dependent on when the claim was originally made, if a drop player was declared immediately or deferred the decision, and if the owner chose to walk away from the claim or accept it. Please see Section 3.A for more payment details 17. No conditional claims will be allowed. If you wait until the last minute that is your problem 18. If there is a disagreement as to who is entitled to a waiver claim, the earliest recorded and valid communication shall be the determining factor 19. Person to person communication is acceptable, however, there is no time stamp associated (make sure you see an or get a receipt of the claim) 20. In the event of a lockout or strike waivers shall be suspended (See Section 1.B) E. In-Season Player Rentals

1. From the start of the NHL Regular season to noon on the 15th day into the NHL schedule, an owner can choose to replace a player from his roster by renting a player that is not owned by any other owner, under the following conditions 2. To make a claim an owner must declare which free agent player they want and the current player on their roster they want to replace (I) It is first come first served. There is no ladder or waiting for the claim to pass through other owners. (II) The claim can be in the form of an notice (it would be nice it if was sent to all owners with access) or a voice message left at Demetri's phone number 3. Please see Section 3.A for fee details 4. All those players that were rented must be released at the time every owner must declare their Free Agents 5.
