3 Important Show Changes & Reminders Market Barrow Show all barrows must be Texas bred and have a valid CTBR certificate from the breeder of the hog. Market Lamb Show all lambs must have a valid TLBA tag issued from the breeder of their lamb in the lambs ear and recorded on validation paperwork at the time of validation and at the show. 2 Day Show Format! Finewools, Finewool Cross & Dorpers Show Sunday; Southdown & Medium Wool show Monday. Tooth rule: No more than yearling teeth will be allowed they will be checked on show day at classification. Jr. Breeding Gilt Show Purebred gilts only. Must show Texas bred on registration certificate. Must be state validated! Jr. CTBR Texas Stars Gilt Show- ALL gilts must be state validated. Purebred & Crossbred division. CTBR certificates from breeder of pig required on all gilts! Sale is Tuesday, February 14! Must sell if selected! NEW 2 DAY SHOW FORMAT: Arrive Fri or Sat. ALL CHECKIN by 1:00 Saturday. Purebreds show at 3 on Saturday in CTBR Show. Sunday shows start at 8. Jr. Breeding Sheep Show- Rambouillet, Delaine, White Dorper, Dorper and Other Wool & Medium Wool Breeds. Jr. Boer Goat Show Must be state validated. Ownership deadline for papers Oct. 1, Texas Stars Wether Dam Show- All does must be state validated. No registration certificates necessary. Hair may not exceed 1.25 inches above the hock and knees. Sale on Saturday, February 6. Must sell if selected! Junior Heifer Show- All heifers must be validated. Heifer validation will include online registration paper uploading and a physical validation with a county validation committee which will include DNA hair sampling. The deadline for heifer validation is November 1, Ag Speaking Contest- Students will be required to submit their manuscripts, statement of originality, and bibliographies on date of entry Ag Mechanics- Reminder: All projects that require a license plate to be DOT compliant must show in a trailer division. Projects will be re-classified upon arrival if necessary. Trailers will be split into Bumper Pull & Gooseneck Divisions. Junior Rabbit Show: Entry deadline for ALL rabbit entries is January 15. Rabbit passes will be handed out at check-in, if coming for prior events, exhibitors may make arrangements with livestock office to pick them up in advance. **NEW** Texas Stars Wether Dam Show: Non-pedigreed wether-type lambs; Breed divisions: FW, FWX, SD, MW & Dorper. Registered Dorper division too. No more than yearling teeth. MUST HAVE PINK TLBA TAG ON VALIDATION PAPERWORK. Slick shorn. Junior Wool & Mohair Fleece Show: LOTS OF ADDED MONEY! 4 Fun Shows & Events to Remember -Agriculture Science Fair Entry deadline January 15 through -Youth Food Challenge Set up in team format. Event: January 25, Wells Fargo Pavilion -Robotics Competition Open to 4-H and FFA teams, as well as public school teams. February 13, Paper entry online. -Mini-Hereford Show Pre-Junior, Junior and Open Divisions. All will fall under open show rules. -Special Edition Stock Show Monday, February 6 Premium Sale February 18 -Each Grand Champion took home at least a $16,000 check! -Reserve Grand Champions took home over $12,000 each! -Animals will not be present at the sale. -3rd and 4th place exhibitors do not attend sale. Calf Scramble -Open to first 80 entries! Entries open September 15, 2016 and close December 15, Entries may be submitted with other show entries, but they are filled on first come/first served basis. -Format: There are 4 regular scrambles, which 20 students compete in each. The top 4 from each scramble advance to the finals/scholarship scramble. Winner of each scramble receives a belt buckle. The top 4 are guaranteed a $250 scramble certificate if they do not win a scholarship in the finals. Certificates paid out through 10th place in regular scrambles! -Dates: Sat., Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.; Sat., Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. -Finals: Sat. Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Open Shows Open Breeding Sheep Rambouillet, Other Wool Breeds (Delaine, Columbia, etc), Dorper, White Dorper, Southdown, Other Medium Wool Breeds (Hampshire, Suffolk, etc) Open Boer Goat Show- Will accept Pending of Approval papers on 0-4 Month classes ONLY!!! Open Longhorn Show, Youth Longhorn Show & Open Llama Show

Staging for pigs, sheep, and goats will be in the two north lots; Cattle will proceed to form a line behind the 1st Community Credit Union Spur Arena Advise avoiding Grape Creek Road, ESPECIALLY an hour to two before ANY rodeo performances.
