2 Dear Friends: I first want to personally invite everyone to our 31ST annual Bull & Female Sale and Appreciation Day at our farm on Saturday, February 10, A lunch will be served starting at 11:30 with the sale to follow at 1:00. Again, this year, instead of the cattle going through a sale ring, a video of each lot will be shown. The cattle will be penned close to the sale area for your viewing sale day, or you are welcome to come take a look any time before the sale. We like having the sale on the farm because we think that it is less stressful on the cattle and that it is a homier environment for the sale. This year we are selling some heifer calves, six bred heifers, and three bred cows. The bred heifers are from our keeping pen and were selected solely on their projected calving date. The heifer calves are also from the keeping pen. There are some really nice heifers included, but we can t keep them all. After having inquiries about selling some heifers, we thought that the only fair way for everyone was to include them on the auction. As I am preparing this, it is cold, windy and snowing. After a wonderful fall and early winter, old man Winter has arrived. The harsher weather makes me appreciate livestock producers and especially beef producers, who must keep waters open and tractors from jelling to care for their cattle in weather like this. In a time when most of society seems to be getting soft, good cattle producers can t be. One of our constants, besides our faith and family, is our desire to provide our customers with the best product available for their continued success. We really enjoy our friendships and relationships with you, our customers. This is the best part of this business. Even if you don t need a bull or female this year, please join us on the 10th.
