1 4-H Summary of Results at the Lancaster Fair H Exhibition Hall Awards Along with the many blue ribbons for individual and Club Exhibits exhibited in the 4-H Hall, there were a few exhibits receiving Merit Awards for outstanding achievement with their project, these are listed here: Merit Awards Lion Cubs 4-H Club, N Stratford, NH - Award for their overall excellent Club Exhibit Lads & Lassies 4-H Club, Lunenburg, VT - Award for their overall excellent Club Exhibit Wildlife Warriors 4-H Club, St. Johnsbury, VT - Award for their overall excellent Club Exhibit Colts & Fillies 4-H Club, Stark, NH - Award for their overall excellent combined Scarecrow & Decorated Hay Bale, Pegasus. Lion Cubs 4-H Club, North Stratford, NH - Award for their overall excellent Scarecrow. Early Risers 4-H Club, Colebrook, NH - Award for their overall excellent Scarecrow. Jessie Hooker, a member of the Silver Snaffles 4-H Club in Coös County for her Medicinal Tea, Educational Display. Photos receiving Merit Awards for being exceptional were - The Girl Portrait by Phoebe Ross s of the Colts & Fillies 4-H Club. The Donkey Photo by Kailyn Jones of the Lads & Lassies 4-H Club. The Squirrel Photo by Miranda Wright of the Wildlife Warriors 4-H Club. Style Show Doing a great job in the Style Show this year were seven participants - Coös Clovers 4-H Club, in Lancaster, NH had three participants, Sierra Dingman, Martha Hodge and Tara St Cyr. Golden Rock Farm 4-H Club, Groveton, NH was Brooklyn Mellett. Silver Snaffles 4-H Club, Maidstone, VT, were Jessie Hooker, Lauren Tyler and Dakota Woodworth.
2 Summary of 4-H Livestock Shows Herdsmanship Herdsmanship Awards are judge on general appearance, care of show box and equipment, care of animals and stalls, personal appearance and conduct, as well as an educational exhibit. Large animals include: dairy cattle, beef cattle and working steers. Small animals include: sheep and goats. Large Animals Club Exhibit, 1 st place went to Riverbends 4-H Club, Lunenburg, VT. Large Animals Individual Exhibit, 1 st place went to Andy Smith, a member of the Coös Clovers 4-H Club in Lancaster, NH. Small Animals Club Exhibit, 1 st place went to Riverbends 4-H Club, Lunenburg, VT. Small Animals Individual Exhibit, 1 st place went to Sierra Dingman, a member of the Coös Clovers 4-H Club, Lancaster, NH. All Livestock Shows: All Livestock shows include Fitting & Showing classes: To receive an Excellent Award in this section the 4-H member must be cleanly and neatly dressed. The animal must be clean and properly fit, and the exhibitor showing knowledge of showmanship. 4-H Dairy Show This year s 4-H Dairy Show include several breeds: Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Holstein, Jersey, Lineback.
