1 A Newsletter for Montgomery County 4-H Families June-July H Families, 4-H Fair season is quickly approaching. Providing our 4-H members and families with a quality 4-H program and 4-H show experience is our number one priority. Many of you may have noticed we are not offering as many summer workshops and science & robotic camps. We know how much you enjoy and look forward to those experiences however, we are just not able to offer them for financial reasons. We are at the end of our second year without a state budget. Our funding comes from three places; local, federal and state tax dollars. With the loss of the state tax dollars, a sizeable piece of our funding is also lost which means we cannot hire the extra staff we need to carry out these programs. We hope you understand our predicament and we thank you for your patience and understanding in a situation we hope will be soon be settled.
