At weaning, they are fed a mixed ration of hay, distillers, and corn to gain 2 pounds per day. They have been developed on a complete mineral program. Our desire is not to push the bulls, but to grow them as slow as possible to ensure soundness and longevity, and to condition them to work in your pasture. 11 20 21 Parable of the Pooch(es) Life on the Ranch Our spoiled border collie boys, Angus and Wylee, love to come in the house to warm up and lounge with us as often as they are allowed. It is not rare to see them peering into the windows to be let inside. Though we are thankful for the wet spring that brings much-welcomed muddy conditions, obviously this causes a problem with the dirt the pooches are in on a daily basis as they help out in the thick of it (literally). The sloppy corrals give Angus and Wylee a thorough coating of muddy fur. In order to appease our furry family members, they will (sometimes) be given a bath so that they can come inside, rest, and warm up or cool off. Like the mud, sin can and will, easily coat our lives as we live and work. Each of us have this problem--we were born with it. No one had to teach us how to lie or cheat, it is our nature to know how to do wrong. It would be impossible for our dogs to avoid the mud while they do their job of helping with the cattle. Just like them, it is impossible for us to avoid falling into the filth of sin. Due to this filth, we are unable to have a right standing with God. BUT, Jesus Christ is the only One who is able to make us clean before God. He came to earth and lived a perfect, sin-free life. In his deep love for us, He took the punishment for our wrong upon Himself. Because of this sacrifice Christ made for us, we can be bathed in the blood of Jesus Christ who washes our sins away. This cleansing blood makes us right in the eyes of God to come in, fellowship and rest in God s presence. 1 Corinthians 5:21 says For our sake he made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
