2 PETER ALLEN FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP PROSPECTUS Peter Allen Festival 2018 The inaugural 2018 Annual Peter Allen Festival held in the historic town of Tenterfield NSW. A Celebration of Peter Allen s contribution to Arts and Culture not only in Australia but internationally. The 2018 Peter Allen Festival will incorporate a range of activities including arts, culture, singing, song writing, theatre, dance and entertainment. Tenterfield, is the location of one of Peter s most famous songs, Tenterfield Saddler. This festival will be a celebration of Peter s music, rural lifestyles, heritage, history, food, local produce, local talent and the indigenous history of the area.

3 Who running the Festival? The Peter Allen Festival is an Initiative of the Tenterfield Chamber of Tourism, Industry and Business, local government, residents, friends and family. The Annual Peter Allen Festival was born from a collaboration with the whole Tenterfield community The Chamber has engaged local business owners Josh Moylan and Matt Sing to organise the event. This young duo owns and manages various business in the Tenterfield region and are passionate about Australian Music. From Tenterfield to global fame Peter Woolnough was born on the 10th of February 1944 at the Prince Albert Memorial Hospital in Tenterfield.Peter Allen soon become on of Australia s most Internationally recognised entertainers and composers. His gift to the town became one of Australia s most recognised songs Tenterfield Saddler, a tribute to his grandfather and local saddler George Woolnough. The 2018 Peter Allen Festival is fully supported by The Peter Allen Trust in the USA and importantly Peter s family. Peter s Sister, Lyn Woolnough has kindly given the festival her full support and will be in attendence for the 1st Annual Peter Allen Festival. The festival has recieved support from the Federal Goverment, NSW Tourism, Tenterfield Shire Council, The Business Chamber, local business owners and residents.

4 PETER ALLEN FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP PROSPECTUS About the Audience Preliminary forecasts suggest we could expected an attendence of 1000 visitors to the festival. Since the Save the Date launch, interest in the event has increased and we are expecting that number to grow with media announcements commencing in May. The target audience for the festival is millennial friend groups (19-29 year olds), generation X families (33-52 year olds with children) and baby boomers (47-65 year olds). All these groups have an Interests in music, arts, theatre, markets, food, community, rural and regional activities. The festivals target audience will draw from a population of over 3.7 million people from South East QLD to Northern NSW along with the 400,000+ expected travellers that will use the New England Highway in the 4 months leading upto the Festival. Potential to Grow This years festival will be a taste of things to come. Tenterfield, at the junction of two major highways, attracts 165,000 visitors a year. Tenterfield is increasingly becoming a must visit destination, a weekend retreat for those living in South-East Queensland and North-Eastern New South Wales. Our alpine climate and magnificent scenery combined with a vibrant food and wine culture attracts increasing numbers of visitors including overseas guests every year saw Australia say YES to Marriage Equality, and this years festival will be a celebration of equality and diversity, a welcome to all those attending the festival. Peter Allen s name, fame and music is highly recognisable and attracts a cult-like following. Our ambition is to make this festival a Signature Regional Arts and Homegrown Music Festival in NSW and a must see event.

5 Event Promotions With the Save the Date campaign started in March, The 2018 Festival promotions are already in full Swing. THE 2018 FESTIVAL WILL UNDERTAKE THE FOLLOWING PROMOTIONS The 2018 Festival will undertake the following promotions Media Launch out to all major news publications, local newspapers, radio stations, TV channels and LGBTQI Media Launch social media campaign local business / community information night radio advertisements on TENFM and Breeze / Rebel FM Advertisements on major television network Advertisements in various local blog / newsletters Flash Mob in surrounding city centres eg Lismore The festival committee operate social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube along with utilising various Facebook Pages, Groups and paid targeted advertisements.

6 PETER ALLEN FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP PROSPECTUS MAJOR EVENTS AT THIS YEARS FESTIVAL TENTERFIELD TO RIO Award winning Danny Elliot presents his show Tenterfield to Rio, a tribute to Peter Allen. Danny will re-live the energetic performances of one of Australia s greatest entertainers. Offering 2 shows Friday Night 7pm start Saturday Matinee 2pm start Sit down cabaret style show at the Sir Henry Parkes School of Arts Theatre 200 seats per show 2 hour long show. FARMERS MARKETS Along the historic main street of Tenterfield. With an array of colour, entertainment and market stalls creating a uplifting party atmosphere catering for all ages. Tenterfield s CBD main street will be closed from 8am 5pm including Bruxner Park 180 Market stall sites Extended opening for Main street businesses Entertainment and performing stages Flower show Displays Workshops TENTERFIELD JAM SESSION A tribute and celebration of Australia s greatest bands and music, showcasing local talent from the Tenterfield area and New England Region. Saturday Night 7pm Midnight Tenterfield Memorial Hall Featuring 15 local performers 600 ticket limit 5 Hours of All Aussie Favourites Aussie Burger Bar and Watering Hole Pop-up Restaurant and Bar 18+ Event SAY YES TO I DO IN TENTERFIELD With late 2017 seeing Australia vote YES, Tenterfield will host its 1st Pop-Up wedding for same-sex couples. Once one of Tenterfield s many idyllic churches, the Old Uniting Church has been craftily restored into a picturesque chapel and will be the backdrop for this years wedding.
