What is tough mudder? Tough Mudder is the largest, team-based obstacle event series in the world, hosting over 60 events annually across 3 continents.

4 What is tough mudder? Tough Mudder is the largest, team-based obstacle event series in the world, hosting over 60 events annually across 3 continents. It is not a timed race but an inclusive fitness challenge. Tough Mudder is a set of core values practiced both at the events and in everyday life. Mudders pledge to put teamwork and above all else, helping their fellow Mudders overcome the obstacles that are ahead of them, and complete the course. over 2 million have completed a Tough Mudder around the globe Participants have raised over $2 million for our UK charity partner Help for Heroes.

Who are our volunteers? Our volunteers are called our Most Valuable Players (MVPs). They are the driving force behind the event, bringing enthusiasm, knowledge and an element of team to the event.

Our MVPs are extremely passionate, and the MVP community is one that they feel proud of and that inspires new volunteers as well as educates and supports each other before, during and after the event. To this end, the team is known as Probably the best team on the planet, a phrase that volunteers agree with and feel proud to be part of.

I used volunteering to get out of my comfort zone. Following a head injury that resulted in pretty severe anxiety, I became quite the recluse. When I saw the chance to do something completely alien to my little schedule I immediately signed up so I couldn't create reasons for not doing it. so my favourite part of volunteering was the opportunity to gain some much needed self confidence and independence.. - Dublin Volunteer

8 The Roles All volunteers are fully briefed both in advance of the event and once on site. All roles are managed by one of our friendly Event Area Managers who will provide all the tools and knowledge for undertaking the role and having an awesome day. The roles vary greatly and will suit any type of experience. You may decide you want to spend all day out on the course marshalling an obstacle or being the first friendly face our spectators see when checking in! Whatever you do as a Mudder MVP, you ll be at the heart of it all, creating life-changing experiences for everyone, including yourself.
