2 What is the Sneaker Soirée? The Sneaker Soirée is the premier fundraising event for Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana that celebrates our transformational program for girls in grades 3-8. This event will take place on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 at the Wicker Park Memorial Park Social Center in Highland. It will be a cocktail party (with sneakers!) atmosphere with fabulous food and drinks, live band, dancing, silent auction and raffle prizes. All proceeds from the Sneaker Soirée will support Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana s mission to empower the next generation of women to lead healthy and confident lives. In 2019, Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana will inspire 2,500 girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. Teams will meet at more than 125 schools and community sites across seven counties. Who is attending? Expected Attendees: Approximately 250 attendees are expected to attend representing NWI s young leaders, business leaders, philanthropists, and trendy consumers. Why support this event? Exposure: More than 80% of consumers consider a company s support of a cause when deciding where to shop or what products to recommend. Promote your brand on the GOTR of NWI website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) in event promotional materials as well as press releases and media alerts. You Are Empowering the Next Generation of Women! Your sponsorship funds Girls on the Run which is a physical activity-based positive youth development program for 3rd8th grade girls. The innovative program combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with a research-based curricula designed to encourage positive physical and social-emotional health.
