2 General Information Page UTMB Qualification races The following qualification points for registration for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) will be awarded: K78 gives 4 points, K47 gives 3 points, K36 gives 2 points, K31 gives 1 point. T214 and T133 give 6 points each, T214 to Maloja (T106) 5 and to Savognin (T148) 6 points. No UTMB points are awarded for the TRIP race. L43 gives 3 points and E35 gives 2 points. Only finishers of the named races will receive the points in each case. 2. Registration In general, registration should take place online ( The whole registration procedure as well as management of participant data is carried out by Datasport. With their registration for the Swissalpine, participants accept the Swissalpine Regulations. 3 General Information Page 3 Late registrations on site can be paid for cash in CHF or Euro (exchange rate 1:1). A change in race is only possible by to info@swissalpine.ch until July 17, After this, it is only possible during issue of the starting numbers When a registration is changed from a longer to a shorter distance, the difference is starting fee will not be reimbursed. When a change in race registration is made to a longer distance, the difference in starting fee must be paid. If the change is made on site, an additional surcharge of CHF 20.- must also be paid. Issue of starting numbers will take place on July 21, 2017 (E35: July 14, 2017). Participants registering after this date will not receive a personalised starting number Close of registration Online registration is possible until July 26, Payment of the starting fee for registrations made using a registration form must be made by June 23, The post mark date applies Cancelation of registrations Participants are strongly recommended to take out cancellation insurance when registering. This insurance enables reimbursement to be claimed (in form of a Datasport coupon/voucher or cash), particularly in the case of injury or illness. A doctor's certificate is required. Further information is given in the insurance terms and conditions: It is possible that answers from the insurance company may take some time. It is not possible to transfer a starting place to the next year if a start is not possible due to illness or injury (accident). 3. Rail tickets For environmental reasons it is strongly recommended to travel by public transport. This also makes the journey to and from the races to an unforgettable experience! Swiss Runners Tickets and Regio Tickets are included in the starting fees for all categories. Swiss Runners Ticket All participants can profit by travelling free of charge using public transport from their place of residence, Swiss border railway station or airport to the starting location and back via usual or annual train pass routes in second class. All participants will receive a start card from Datasport with two personal promotion codes. With these promotion codes, two free public transport return tickets can be printed out exclusively from sbb.ch/ticketshop for the journey in second class. The start cards will be distributed in July 2017 by Datasport to the addresses supplied during registration. Swiss Runners Tickets are personal and only valid on the return journey together with a start number. The earliest possible journey to the race start location is July 21, the latest return journey is possible on August 4. Further information can be found at sbb.ch/swissalpine.
4 General Information Page 4 Regio Ticket (regional tickets) All participants can travel between July 22 30, 2017 free of charge on the following public transport routes: RhB railway: Klosters Davos St. Moritz/Pontresina Chur Filisur Chur Arosa PostAuto bus: Chur Lenzerheide Savognin St. Moritz Silvaplana Maloja Davos Lenzerheide All participants will be given a personal promotion code on the start card from Datasport. With this promotion code, a second class Regio Ticket pass can be printed out exclusively from rhb.ch/en/swissalpine. The start cards will be distributed in July 2017 by Datasport to the addresses given during registration In the train the ticket is valid in printed form only Arriving by car The following parking locations are recommended for participants arriving by car: Davos Dorf: Davos Platz: Car parking "Seeparkplatz" or the Parsenn ski lift Jakobshorn ski lift parking 4. Food and drink (refreshments) As soon as the locations of the refreshment stations have been determined, these will be marked on the race profile map. The latest version of the route map showing the refreshment stations will be published in the internet. Waste bins will be provided at all refreshment stations. Littering outside of the refreshment zones is strictly prohibited. 5. Timing and tracking All participants are entitled to an accurate race time. For the D22/E35 race, participants can choose whether their precise race times are given in the rankings or if they are simply given as "Finisher" (with or without race times). Various intermediate times will be recorded electronically during the races. The exact location of these intermediate times is given on the route map for each race. The following age categories will be given separately for men/women in the rankings for each race:

Special rankings Participants in the K78 can finish the race early in Bergün (40km). These runners will be classified in a separate ranking. Participants in the T214 can finish the race early in Maloja (106km) or Savognin (148km). These runners will be classified in a separate ranking Tracking All participants in the T214, T133 and TRIP races will be equipped with a Tractalis tracking device. Tractalis will use devices with the latest technology in order to ensure accurate results and to provide a long battery lifetime. The modern tracking devices used the GL-300 von Queclink corresponds to the latest generation and is equipped with a high-precision receiver module by Swiss market leader µblox. The Tracker measures 69mm * 39mm * 24mm and weighs only 60 g. It is waterproof (IPX5). 6. Safety and medical services If participants encounter difficulties due to injuries or health problems, they must follow the following instructions: 1. If possible, to proceed to or contact the next refreshment station. 2. To ask other participants for help. 3. To call the race emergency number. The locations of medical services are noted on the route map.
6 General Information Page 6 7. Route markings / finish, retiring from the race An in-depth study of the route is strongly recommended. Even though the routes are marked, some individual route markers may be missing or moved by weather conditions (wind) or third persons. All routes are marked by flags, warning tape, sprayed, coloured markings and signs. Sectors which runners may pass during the night will be marked with reflecting materials. All competitions are subject to time limits which must be kept to by all participants. These are given in the time schedule in each case. Participants must leave the time stations before the end of the given time limit. Runners who arrive too late will be removed from the race by the person responsible. These participants must return their timing chip (and tracking device if applicable) to the finishing line stewards in Davos. Start numbers serve as travel pass for the journey home using public transport. Except in cases of injury or exhaustion, participants can only retire from the race at one of the refreshment stations. They must always report to the steward in charge of the station and follow his instructions. Participants who retire from the T214 / T133 / TRIP races must return their timing chip and tracking device to the finishing line stewards in Davos. 8. Issue of starting numbers Starting numbers are personal and must be displayed throughout the race and be clearly visible on the participant's chest, stomach or thigh. It entitles the participant to refreshments, medical care, entry to rest areas, showers and baggage drop-offs as well as travel by public transport. It is prohibited to give the personal starting number to another person. Participants must collect their starting numbers personally. Disposable timing chips for all competitions The timing chip is integrated into the starting number and must not be returned. Trackers for T214 / T133 / TRIP participants The tracker device enables electronic tracking and must be returned immediately by the participant after reaching the finish line. Participants will be charged CHF 50.- for trackers which are not returned. The tracker must be returned to stewards at the finish line by participants to stewards at the finish line in Davos after retirement or disqualification from the race.

Transport / Depositing of running gear Participants in all competitions can leave their running gear in an official bag sized 40 x 50 cm at the start and collect it again after the finish. This baggage in the official bags will be transported from the start as follows: K78: from Davos to Bergün (there and back) K36: from Bergün to Davos K31: from Davos to Filisur K23: from Klosters to Davos T214: from Davos to Samedan and Savognin (there and back) T133: from St. Moritz to Savognin and Davos L43: from Lenzerheide to Davos A21: from Arosa to Davos Participants in the TEAM and TRIP competitions are responsible for transport of their running gear. The deposit times and locations will be published on the homepage at a later date. The organisers accept no liability for lost or damage baggage. 10. Transport luggage To provide participants not starting at Davos with the best service possible, their luggage with a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 23 cm will be transported free of charge as follows: T133: from St. Moritz to Davos L43: from Lenzerheide to Davos A21: from Arosa to Davos The deposit times and locations will be published on the homepage at a later date. The organisers accept no liability for lost or damage baggage.
8 General Information Page Prizes and prize-giving ceremony Participants in the T214, T133, K78, K47, K36 and L43 races receive a medal and finisher T-shirt when they complete the course. Participants in the K31, K23, A21, D22, TRIP and TEAM races receive an event T-shirt together with their starting number whether they finish the race or not. After successfully completing the course, they also receive a medal. In the following competitions, the three first-placed men and women receive the following prize money (less tax at source): T133 K47 K23 1 st place 2 nd place 3 rd place CHF 2, CHF 1, CHF CHF 800 CHF 400 CHF 200 CHF 400 CHF 200 CHF 100 The first three men and women in the overall category will be named during the prize ceremony and awarded natural prizes. These will only be given to prize winners who are actually present and will not be forwarded. The prize-giving ceremonies take place as follows: - Swissalpine Marathon: Saturday, July 29, 2017, hrs - Swiss Irontrail: Sunday, July 30, 2017, hrs - Swiss Trail: Sunday, July 30, 2017, hrs (E35: Sunday, July 23, 2017, hrs) 12. Lost and found Lost and found articles should be deposited at the information stand and can be collected there during the races. They cannot be stored or returned by post. 13. Changing rooms, toilets/showers and rest places Changing rooms, toilets and showers will be located near the start / finish area in Davos and will be signposted. Participants will also have changing rooms and toilets available for their use in Bergün. Rest places will be organised at the following locations on the Swiss Irontrail routes: - Samedan - Maloja - Savognin - Lenzerheide - Arosa
