1 ADELAIDE MASTERS GAMES 05 ATHLETICS OUT OF STADIUM EVENT MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS ALLOCATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS Maps and officials allocations are shown on the following pages in this document. If there are issues with you allocation, please let John Hore ( ) know asap. Due to the number of officals, it is recommended that you bring your own portable chair if you wish to sit down during the events. Officials allocated to pre-event duties should be on site at least one hour before the event start time. Other officials should be available at least 0 minutes before the start time for duty debriefing. COURSE MARSHALLING RESPONSIBILITIES Marshalls should have mobile phones and relevant contact number with them. Also carry a pen and paper in case information needs to be recorded after an incident takes place. ) Direct competitors when necessary to ensure they stay on the correct course ) Manage situations with competitors and people in the vicinity on the event that there are injuries. There will be a significant number of the public crossing the course on the way to work or strolling in the locality. It will therefore be necessary to warn the public and competitors of hazards relating to the safe operation of the events.
