Contact Tom Lueck Award Nominations 2010 Nomination sheets are available in the clubhouse for both the Joan Harp award for the "Outstanding Female Racer" and the Cass Owings award for "Crewperson of the Year" There are also copies of these forms available on the Club's web page. Please complete and return your nomination sheets to the Regatta Chair's mailbox in the clubhouse, to Phil Hendrix, or Lori Warner before January 12th Junior Fundraiser The Juniors will be helping at the Crab Feed again this year, and we would like to have the Dessert Auction like last year. We would love for any fabulous baker that would like to donate a dessert for auction at the crab feed to please participate. All proceeds will go toward our Junior Sailing program. Contact Page 2

3 Attention all members! This month Dock Talk will be ed only (unless you requested a printed copy). All members should contact the office ASAP with their correct address to insure that they are going to get their Dock Talk every month. If you absolutely can not get it by you must contact the office with your current mailing address. We will only be mailing copies to members that have requested printed copies. Printed copies will also be available in the office and clubhouse. Installation and Awards Banquet January 22nd Sweetheart Cruise February 12-13th Crab Feed February 26th Make your Move...to the Front! Speed alone is not enough! The North U Racing Tactics Seminar will cover strategy, tactics and rules all the way around the course. Learn how to build your strategy, develop your plan and follow through to implement strategy. Be able to position your boat to make use of the rules and see how the rules shape and control tactics. Andrew Kerr, J24 and Santana 20 National Champion, will be the instructor. Board Members Present: Dave Van Dyke, Abe Ayala, Mike McCandless, Karen DeBono, Ruth Howell, Rick Gibson, Mike Kennedy, Gary Eggert, Board Members not Present: Dan Dallas, John Moyer, Tom Lueck Others in Attendance: Suzi Wasielewski, Duke MacGill, Peter Hine, Faye Roberts II. Standing Business a. Agenda: Motion to approve agenda Ayala / Kennedy M/S/P b. Minutes: Motion to approve November minutes. Eggert / Ayala M/S/P c. Financial Statements: Approval of September/October financials. Motion to approve September & October financials. Ayala/ McCandless M/S/P d. Club Manager Report: Suzi Wasielewski Two new motors for the safety boats should be installed and ready to go by the end of the month. The POS computer system replacement has been delayed; more information next month. Clubhouse deck repairs have been put on hold until February. The Pepsi machine outside the Junior room will be removed. The phone line in the shop will become dedicated to members for requesting repairs. The shop continues to be cleaned out and reorganized. Make sure to tend to your dogs at the club as there have been several complaints made about dog poop on the grounds and docks. The Installation and Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, January 22 at approximately 4:30 at the Klamath Ferry Boat. Details will be forthcoming. Incoming board members were provided with a general overview of board processes. New board members will need to sign and return Code of Ethics agreements. e. Correspondence: Abe Ayala Dan Dallas has requested a leave of absence. Jim Giles has requested permission to berth a power boat in the harbor. Earl and Candy Davis have resigned their membership. Ralph and Johanna Felten have requested a return to Cruising Status. Bill Kobus no longer has a boat and has resigned his membership. Motion to approve requests as long as the members are in good standing and their dues are paid. Ayala / Eggert M/S/P f. Member and Guest Comments: N/A III. Old Business: a.
