2 Last 10 Nights 2 Common Duas for the Last 10 Nights of Ramadhan In al-k f, Shaykh al-kulayniy has reported Imam Ja`far al- diq (a.s) as saying: At the last ten nights of Rama n, you may say the following invocation: أ ع وذ ب ج الل و ج ه ك الك ر يم I seek the protection of the Majesty of Your Honorable Face أ ن ي ن ق ض ي ع ن ي ش ه ر ر م ض ان against that the month of Rama n elapses أ و ي ط ل ع الف ج ر م ن ل ي ل ت ي هذ ه Or dawn puts an end to this night و ل ك ق ب ل ي ت ب ع ة أ و ذ ن ب ت ع ذ ب ن ي ع ل ي ه. but there is still an offense or a sin for which I am still liable and for which You will punish me. In Iqb l al-a`m l Sayyid Ibn ± w s has narrated on the authority of Ibn Ab -`Umayr on the authority of Mur zim that Imam Ja`far al- diq (a.s) used to say the following at each of the last ten nights of Rama n: الل ه م إ ن ك ق ل ت ف ي ك ت اب ك الم ن ز ل :

3 Last 10 Nights 3 O Allah: You have said in Your revealed Book: ( ش ه ر ر م ض ان ال ذ ي أ ن ز ل ف يه الق ر آن The month of Rama n is that in which the Qur' n was revealed, ه د ى ل لن اس و ب ي ن ات م ن اله د ى و الف ر ق ان ) a guidance to men and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction. ف ع ظ م ت ح ر م ة ش ه ر ر م ض ان You have thus rendered great the sanctity of this month of Rama n, ب م ا أ ن ز ل ت ف يه م ن الق ر آن Because You revealed the Qur' n in it, و خ ص ص ت ه ب ل ي ل ة الق د ر And You decided the Grand Night to be in this month exclusively, و ج ع ل ت ه ا خ ي را م ن أ ل ف ش ه ر. And You made it better than one thousand months. الل ه م و هذ ه أ ي ام ش ه ر ر م ض ان ق د ان ق ض ت O Allah: the days of the month of Rama n are elapsing, و ل ي ال يه ق د ت ص ر م ت And its nights are also elapsing,

4 Last 10 Nights 4 و ق د ص ر ت ي ا إ له ي م ن ه إ ل ى م ا أ ن ت أ ع ل م ب ه م ن ي While I have become in the state that You, O my God, know better than I do, و أ ح ص ى ل ع د د ه م ن الخ ل ق أ ج م ع ين And You can count it more precisely than all the created beings. ف أ س أ ل ك ب م ا س أ ل ك ب ه م الئ ك ت ك الم ق ر ب ون So, I beseech You in the name of that by which Your favorite angels, و أ ن ب ي اؤ ك الم ر س ل ون And Your missioned Prophets, و ع ب اد ك الص ال ح ون And Your righteous servants have besought You, أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د That You may bless Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, و أ ن ت ف ك ر ق ب ت ي م ن الن ار And You may release me from Hellfire, و ت د خ ل ن ي الج ن ة بر ح م ت ك And allow me to enter Paradise, by Your mercy,

5 Last 10 Nights 5 و أ ن ت ت ف ض ل ع ل ي ب ع ف و ك و ك ر م ك And confer upon me with Your pardon and Your generosity, و ت ت ق ب ل ت ق ر ب ي And accept my seeking of nearness to You, و ت س ت ج يب د ع ائ ي And respond to my prayer, و ت م ن ع ل ي ب األ م ن ي و م الخ و ف And bestow upon me with security on the Day of Dread م ن ك ل ه و ل أ ع د د ت ه ل ي و م الق ي ام ة. Against all the horrors that You have prepared for the Resurrection Day. إ له ي و أ ع وذ ب و ج ه ك الك ر يم O my God: I seek the protection of Your Noble Face, و ب ج الل ك الع ظ يم And Your Great Majesty, أ ن ت ن ق ض ي أ ي ام ش ه ر ر م ض ان و ل ي ال يه Against that the days and nights of the month of Rama n elapse,

6 Last 10 Nights 6 و ل ك ق ب ل ي ت ب ع ة أ و ذ ن ب ت ؤ اخ ذ ن ي ب ه While there is still a sin or an offense for which You may punish me, أ و خ ط يئ ة ت ر يد أ ن ت ق ت ص ه ا م ن ي ل م ت غ ف ر ه ا ل ي Or a wrongdoing for which You want to chastise me; and You have not yet forgiven them for me, س ي د ي س ي د ي س ي د ي O my Master; O my Master; O my Master; أ س أ ل ك ي ا ال إ له إ ال أ ن ت I beseech You, O He save Whom there is no god, إ ذ ال إ له إ ال أ ن ت Indeed, there is no god save You, إ ن ك ن ت ر ض يت ع ن ي ف ي هذ ا الش ه ر If You have been pleased with me in this month, ف از د د ع ن ي ر ض ى Then (please) increase Your satisfaction with me; و إ ن ل م ت ك ن ر ض يت ع ن ي And if You have not been pleased with me,

7 Last 10 Nights 7 ف م ن اآلن ف ار ض ع ن ي Then (please) be satisfied with me from this moment, ي ا أ ر ح م الر اح م ين O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy. ي ا الل ه ي ا أ ح د ي ا ص م د O Allah; O the One and Only; O the Besought of all; ي ا م ن ل م ي ل د و ل م ي ول د O He Who begets not, nor is He begotten, و ل م ي ك ن ل ه ك ف وا أ ح د. And none is like Him You may repeat the following invocation as many times as possible: ي ا م ل ي ن الح د يد ل د او د ع ل ي ه الس الم O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David, peace be upon him; ي ا ك اش ف الض ر و الك ر ب الع ظ ام ع ن أ ي وب ع ل ي ه الس الم O He Who took off the harm and calamity that afflict (Prophet) Job,

8 Last 10 Nights 8 peace be upon him; أ ي م ف ر ج ه م ي ع ق وب ع ل ي ه الس الم O He Who relieved the sorrow of (Prophet) Jacob, peace be upon him; أ ي م ن ف س غ م ي وس ف ع ل ي ه الس الم O He Who removed the grief of (Prophet) Joseph, peace be upon him: ص ل ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د (Please do) send blessings upon Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, ك م ا أ ن ت أ ه ل ه أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ي ه م أ ج م ع ين As exactly as You are worthy of blessing them all, و اف ع ل ب ي م ا أ ن ت أ ه ل ه And (please) do to me that which befits You, و ال ت ف ع ل ب ي م ا أ ن ا أ ه ل ه. And do not do to me that which I deserve.

9 Last 10 Nights 9 Dua after Salah in the Last 10 Nights of Ramadhan As a footnote in al-balad al-am n, al-kaf`amiy has mentioned that Imam Ja`far al- diq (a.s) used to say the following at each of the last ten nights of Rama n after the obligatory and supererogatory prayers: الل ه م أ د ع ن ا ح ق م ا م ض ى م ن ش ه ر ر م ض ان O Allah: (please) help us fulfill the right of the past days of the month of Rama n, و اغ ف ر ل ن ا ت ق ص ير ن ا ف يه And forgive us our shortcoming during it, و ت س ل م ه م ن ا م ق ب وال And receive it from us with acceptance, و ال ت ؤ اخ ذ ن ا ب إ س ر اف ن ا ع ل ى أ ن ف س ن ا And do not blame us for our extravegence in our affairs, و اج ع ل ن ا م ن الم ر ح وم ين And include us with those upon whom mercy is had, و ال ت ج ع ل ن ا م ن الم ح ر وم ين. And do not include us with those deprived (of the awards of Rama n). He adds that Almighty Allah will forgive him who says this supplication all the sins that he has committed in the past days of Rama n and will protect him against sinning in the rest of it.

10 Last 10 Nights 10 Supplication for 22 nd Night of Ramadhan ي ا س ال خ الن ه ار م ن الل ي ل ف إ ذ ا ن ح ن م ظ ل م ون O He Who draws forth daylight from night, and we are then in the dark; و م ج ر ي الش م س ل م س ت ق ر ه ا ب ت ق د ير ك ي ا ع ز يز ي ا ع ل يم O He Who causes the sun to run on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of You, O the Mighty, O the Knowing. و م ق د ر الق م ر م ن از ل ح ت ى ع اد ك الع ر ج ون الق د يم O He Who ordained for the moon stages until it becomes again as an old dry palm branch; ي ا ن ور ك ل ن ور O the Light of every light, و م ن ت ه ى ك ل ر غ ب ة O the ultimate goal of all desires, و و ل ي ك ل ن ع م ة O the Source of all graces,

11 Last 10 Nights 11 ي ا الل ه ي ا ر ح م ان O Allah; O the All-beneficent; ي ا الل ه ي ا ق د وس O Allah; O the Holy, ي ا أ ح د ي ا و اح د ي ا ف ر د O the One and Only; O the One; O the Unique; ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; ل ك األ س م اء الح س ن ى To You are the Most Excellent Names, و األ م ث ال الع ل ي ا And the most elevated examples, و الك ب ر ي اء و اآلالء And greatness and bounties. أ س أ ل ك أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د I beseech You to bless Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad,

12 Last 10 Nights 12 و أ ن ت ج ع ل اس م ي ف ي هذ ه الل ي ل ة ف ي الس ع د اء And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, و ر وح ي م ع الش ه د اء And to add my soul to the martyrs, و إ ح س ان ي ف ي ع ل ي ين And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank و إ س اء ت ي م غ ف ور ة And to decide my offense to be forgiven, و أ ن ت ه ب ل ي ي ق ينا ت ب اش ر ب ه ق ل ب ي And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart و إ يم انا ي ذ ه ب الش ك ع ن ي And faith that removes dubiosity from me و ت ر ض ي ن ي ب م ا ق س م ت ل ي And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me و آت ن ا ف ي الد ن ي ا ح س ن ة And (please) grant us reward in this world و ف ي اآلخ ر ة ح س ن ة

13 Last 10 Nights 13 And reward in the Hereafter, و ق ن ا ع ذ اب الن ار الح ر يق And save us from the torment of the buring Fire, و ار ز ق ن ي ف يه ا ذ ك ر ك و ش ك ر ك و الر غ ب ة إ ل ي ك And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, و اإل ن اب ة و الت و ف يق ل م ا و ف ق ت ل ه م ح م دا و آل م ح م د ع ل ي ه و ع ل ي ه م الس الم. And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, peace be upon him and them.

14 Last 10 Nights 14 Supplication for 24 th Night of Ramadhan ي ا ف ال ق اإل ص ب اح O the Cleaver of the Daybreak; و ج اع ل الل ي ل س ك نا And You appointed the night for stillness و الش م س و الق م ر ح س ب انا and the sun and the moon for reckoning. ي ا ع ز يز ي ا ع ل يم O the Almighty, O the All-knowing; ي ا ذ ا الم ن و الط و ل O the Lord of favors and munificence و الق و ة و الح و ل And power and might و الف ض ل و اإل ن ع ام And grace and bestowal و الج الل و اإل ك ر ام

15 Last 10 Nights 15 And majesty and honor. ي ا الل ه ي ا ر ح من O Allah, O the All-beneficent, ي ا الل ه ي ا ف ر د ي ا و ت ر O Allah, O the Unique, O the Singular, ي ا الل ه ي ا ظ اه ر ي ا ب اط ن O Allah, O the Evident, O the Immanent, ي ا ح ي ال إ له إ ال أ ن ت O the Ever-living, there is no god save You, ل ك األ س م ا ء الح س ن ى To You are the Most Excellent Names, و األ م ث ال الع ل ي ا And the most elevated examples, و الك ب ر ي اء و اآلالء And greatness and bounties. أ س أ ل ك أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د I beseech You to bless Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad,

17 Last 10 Nights 17 And reward in the Hereafter, و ق ن ا ع ذ اب الن ار الح ر يق And save us from the torment of the buring Fire, و ار ز ق ن ي ف يه ا ذ ك ر ك و ش ك ر ك و الر غ ب ة إ ل ي ك And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, و اإل ن اب ة و الت و ف يق ل م ا و ف ق ت ل ه م ح م دا و آل م ح م د ع ل ي ه و ع ل ي ه م الس الم. And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, peace be upon him and them.

18 Last 10 Nights 18 Supplication for 25 th Night of Ramadhan ي ا ج اع ل الل ي ل ل ب اسا O He Who makes night a covering, و الن ه ار م ع اشا And makes daylight for seeking livelihood, و األ ر ض م ه ادا And makes the earth an expanse و الج ب ال أ و ت ادا And the mountains bulwarks; ي ا الل ه ي ا ق اه ر O Allah; O the Dominant, ي ا الل ه ي ا ج ب ار O Allah; O the Omnipotent, ي ا الل ه ي ا س م يع O Allah; O the All-hearing, ي ا الل ه ي ا ق ر يب

21 Last 10 Nights 21 And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, و اإل ن اب ة و الت و ف يق ل م ا و ف ق ت ل ه م ح م دا و آل م ح م د ع ل ي ه و ع ل ي ه م الس الم. And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, peace be upon him and them.

22 Last 10 Nights 22 Supplication for 26 th Night of Ramadhan ي ا ج اع ل الل ي ل و الن ه ار آي ت ي ن O the Maker of night and daylight two portents; ي ا م ن م ح ا آي ة الل ي ل O He Who makes dark the portent of night و ج ع ل آي ة الن ه ار م ب ص ر ة And makes the portent of the daylight sight-giving; ل ت ب ت غ و ا ف ض ال م ن ه و ر ض و انا So that you may seek favor and pleasure from Him. ي ا م ف ص ل ك ل ش ي ء ت ف ص يال O He Who expounds everything with clear expounding; ي ا م اج د ي ا و ه اب O the All-glorious; O the All-donor; ي ا الل ه ي ا ج و اد O Allah; O the All-magnanimous ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه

23 Last 10 Nights 23 O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; ل ك األ س م اء الح س ن ى To You are the Most Excellent Names, و األ م ث ال الع ل ي ا And the most elevated examples, و الك ب ر ي اء و اآلالء And greatness and bounties. أ س أ ل ك أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د I beseech You to bless Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, و أ ن ت ج ع ل اس م ي ف ي هذ ه الل ي ل ة ف ي الس ع د اء And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, و ر وح ي م ع الش ه د اء And to add my soul to the martyrs, و إ ح س ان ي ف ي ع ل ي ين And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank و إ س اء ت ي م غ ف ور ة And to decide my offense to be forgiven,

24 Last 10 Nights 24 و أ ن ت ه ب ل ي ي ق ينا ت ب اش ر ب ه ق ل ب ي And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart و إ يم انا ي ذ ه ب الش ك ع ن ي And faith that removes dubiosity from me و ت ر ض ي ن ي ب م ا ق س م ت ل ي And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me و آت ن ا ف ي الد ن ي ا ح س ن ة And (please) grant us reward in this world و ف ي اآلخ ر ة ح س ن ة And reward in the Hereafter, و ق ن ا ع ذ اب الن ار الح ر يق And save us from the torment of the buring Fire, و ار ز ق ن ي ف يه ا ذ ك ر ك و ش ك ر ك و الر غ ب ة إ ل ي ك And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, و اإل ن اب ة و الت و ف يق ل م ا و ف ق ت ل ه م ح م دا و آل م ح م د ع ل ي ه و ع ل ي ه م الس الم.

25 Last 10 Nights 25 And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, peace be upon him and them.

26 Last 10 Nights 26 Supplication for 27 th Night of Ramadhan It has been narrated that Imam `Al ibn al- usayn Zayn al-`ªbid n (a.s) used to repeat the following supplication throughout this night: الل ه م ار ز قني الت ج اف ي ع ن د ار الغ ر ور O Allah: (please) present me alienation from the abode of delusion, و اإل ن اب ة إ ل ى د ار الخ ل ود And turning to the abode of eternity, و اإلس ت عد اد ل ل م و ت ق ب ل ح ل ول الف وت. And readiness for death before it is too late It is also recommended to say the following supplication at this night: ي ا م اد الظ ل O the Spreader of the shade, و ل و ش ئ ت ل ج ع ل ت ه س اك نا And if You willed, You could make it still, و ج ع ل ت الش م س ع ل ي ه د ل يال then You have made the sun its pilot

27 Last 10 Nights 27 ث م ق ب ض ت ه إ ل ي ك ق ب ضا ي س يرا Then You withdraw it to Us, a gradual withdrawal. ي اذ ا الج ود و الط و ل O the Lord of magnanimity and conferral, و الك ب ر ي اء و اآلالء And greatness and bounties, ال إ له إ ال أ ن ت There is no god save You, ع ال م الغ ي ب و الش ه اد ة You are the Knower of the hidden and the witnessed, الر ح م ان الر ح يم The All-beneficent, the All-merciful ال إ له إ ال أ ن ت There is no god save You ي ا ق د وس ي ا س الم O the Holy, O the (Source of) Peace, ي ا م ؤ م ن ي ا م ه ي م ن

28 Last 10 Nights 28 O the Grantor of security, O the Dominant, ي ا ع ز يز ي ا ج ب ار O the Mighty, O the Omnipotent, ي ا م ت ك ب ر ي ا الل ه O the Great, O Allah, ي ا خ ال ق ي ا ب ار ئ ي ا م ص و ر O the Creator, O the Maker, O the Fashioner ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; ل ك األ س م اء الح س ن ى To You are the Most Excellent Names, و األ م ث ال الع ل ي ا And the most elevated examples, و الك ب ر ي اء و اآلالء And greatness and bounties. أ س أ ل ك أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د I beseech You to bless Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad,

30 Last 10 Nights 30 And reward in the Hereafter, و ق ن ا ع ذ اب الن ار الح ر يق And save us from the torment of the buring Fire, و ار ز ق ن ي ف يه ا ذ ك ر ك و ش ك ر ك و الر غ ب ة إ ل ي ك And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, و اإل ن اب ة و الت و ف يق ل م ا و ف ق ت ل ه م ح م دا و آل م ح م د ع ل ي ه و ع ل ي ه م الس الم. And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, peace be upon him and them.

31 Last 10 Nights 31 Supplication for 28 th Night of Ramadhan ي ا خ از ن الل ي ل ف ي اله و اء O He Who commits the night to the custody of the atmosphere, و خ از ن الن ور ف ي الس م اء And He Who stores light in the heavens و م ان ع الس م اء أ ن ت ق ع ع ل ى األ ر ض إ ال ب إ ذ ن ه And prevents the heavens from falling on the earth except by His permission, و ح اب س ه م ا أ ن ت ز وال And prevents them from vanishing; ي ا ع ل يم ي ا ع ظ يم O the All-knowing; O the All-great; ي ا غ ف ور ي ا د ائ م O the All-forgiving; O the Everlasting; ي ا الل ه ي ا و ار ث O Allah; O the Inheritor (of all things);

32 Last 10 Nights 32 ي ا ب اع ث م ن ف ي الق ب ور O the Resurrector of those in graves; ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; ل ك األ س م اء الح س ن ى To You are the Most Excellent Names, و األ م ث ال الع ل ي ا And the most elevated examples, و الك ب ر ي اء و اآلالء And greatness and bounties. أ س أ ل ك أ ن ت ص ل ي ع ل ى م ح م د و آل م ح م د I beseech You to bless Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, و أ ن ت ج ع ل اس م ي ف ي هذ ه الل ي ل ة ف ي الس ع د اء And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, و ر وح ي م ع الش ه د اء And to add my soul to the martyrs,

33 Last 10 Nights 33 و إ ح س ان ي ف ي ع ل ي ين And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank و إ س اء ت ي م غ ف ور ة And to decide my offense to be forgiven, و أ ن ت ه ب ل ي ي ق ينا ت ب اش ر ب ه ق ل ب ي And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart و إ يم انا ي ذ ه ب الش ك ع ن ي And faith that removes dubiosity from me و ت ر ض ي ن ي ب م ا ق س م ت ل ي And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me و آت ن ا ف ي الد ن ي ا ح س ن ة And (please) grant us reward in this world و ف ي اآلخ ر ة ح س ن ة And reward in the Hereafter, و ق ن ا ع ذ اب الن ار الح ر يق And save us from the torment of the buring Fire, و ار ز ق ن ي ف يه ا ذ ك ر ك و ش ك ر ك و الر غ ب ة إ ل ي ك

34 Last 10 Nights 34 And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, و اإل ن اب ة و الت و ف يق ل م ا و ف ق ت ل ه م ح م دا و آل م ح م د ع ل ي ه و ع ل ي ه م الس الم. And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Mu ammad and the Household of Mu ammad, peace be upon him and them.

35 Last 10 Nights 35 Supplication for 29 th Night of Ramadhan ي ا م ك و ر الل ي ل ع ل ى الن ه ار O He Who makes the night overlap the day و م ك و ر الن ه ار ع ل ى الل ي ل And makes the day overlap the night; ي ا ع ل يم ي ا ح ك يم O the All-knowing; O the All-wise; ي ار ب األ ر ب اب O the Lord of lords; و س ي د الس اد ات And the Master of masters; ال إ له إ ال أ ن ت There is no god save You. ي ا أ ق ر ب إ ل ي م ن ح ب ل الو ر يد You are nearer to me than my life-vein. ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه ي ا الل ه
