2 Adams 10m Class Australian Championship 2010 Notice of Race 1.0 RULES The Championship will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Prescriptions and Special Regulations of Yachting Australia (YA), the rules of the Adams 10 Metre Class, (except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions) and by the Sailing Instructions. 2.0 ADVERTISING 2.1 Advertising on a boat shall comply with the requirements of ISAF Regulation 20 (ISAF Advertising Code). 2.2 A boat shall display the event sponsor s name, logo or backstay flag in accordance with ISAF Regulation The Race Committee reserves the right to reject the entry of any boat (RRS 76.1). 3.0 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1 The Regatta is open to boats of the Adams 10 Metre Class that meet the following requirements: Each Entrant and Crew shall be a financial member of a Club affiliated with their respective state Yachting Association or National Body. Attention of entrants is drawn to RRS 46 & 55 and Yachting Australia Prescriptions thereto Each Entrant shall be a financial member of the Adams 10 Metre Class Association Each yacht shall hold a current and valid Adams 10 Metre Class Measurement Certificate Yachts unable to lodge an Adams 10 Metre Class Measurement Certificate may lodge a declaration that the yacht is Class Compliant to the satisfaction of the Class Association Each yacht shall lodge evidence of personal risk cover of no less than $10,000,000 by way of a certificate of currency or policy document copy Each yacht shall hold and lodge a current and valid YA Special Regulation Equipment Compliance Certificate, Category 7 or higher, issued by a Yacht Club affiliated with its State Yachting Authority, and audited by a Special Regulations Equipment Auditor certified by its State Yachting Authority Eligible boats may enter on the attached Entry Form which shall be lodged with The Organising Authority by 1000 hours Tuesday 19 January FEES Required entry for the Regatta is:

Payment via cheque made payable to the Adams 10m Association. 5.0 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Date Time Event Saturday 23 January hrs Registration Saturday 23 January Adams 10 Metre Class Association AGM - MHYC Sunday 24 January 2010 Post Race BBQ MHYC Monday 25 January 2010 Post Race Trophy Presentation MHYC 6.0 SCHEDULE OF RACING 6.1 Racing is scheduled on 23, 24 and 25 January 2010, the first Warning Signal will be made at 1230 hours on each day. 6.2 Seven (7) races are scheduled, a maximum of Four(4) races may be sailed on each day of racing. 6.3 No Warning Signal will be made after 1600 hours on the last day of racing. 7.0 RACING AREA Racing will be conducted on the Sound of Sydney Harbour and Sydney Harbour. 8.0 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The Sailing Instructions will be available from 1600 hours Thursday 21 January 2010 from foyer and online at 9.0 COURSES Courses shall be Windward / Leeward, as described in the Sailing Instructions SCORING 10.1 The Low Point scoring system, RRS A2, will apply for all Series. Seven (7) races are scheduled, of which Three (3) races shall be completed to constitute a Series. Each boats Series Score will be the total of her Race Scores, discarding her worst Score after Five (5) races are completed. The lowest series score wins A Scratch and PHS Series shall be run REGATTA SITE The Regatta site shall be, Lower Parriwi Road, The Spit, Mosman Regatta Website shall be
