4 ال ف ع ل ال ماض ي 1- There is no prefix attached to فاع ل mostly comes with a pronoun suffix which is the ال ف ع ل ال ماض ي 2- ت اء ال فاع ل -a The pronoun suffix *it can be letter alone or with an extra تاء م dual, for ما It comes with: 1- The singular of the 1 st person (with ضم ة on the last letter) for (m. p.) or ن for (f. p.) 2- All cases of the 2 nd person. ت فع ل أنا أن ت فعل ت ت فع ل ت أن أن ت ما فعل ت م ا أن ت م فع ل ت م أن ت ن فعل ت ن * Notice that the endings of the previous verbs are similar to the endings of the separate pronoun of that group; you can read it as a rhyme. b. The pronoun suffix ( نا ال ف اع ل ي ن ) نا (Naa of the doers) comes with the dual and plural of the 1 st person, i.e. نح ن فع لنا نح ن *Remember them by the them. in both of ن ون c. The pronoun suffix masculine plural of 3 rd person ال جم اع ة (Waaw of the group): comes with و او (The Alif that comes after ه م فعل وا ال جم اع ة pronounced) is not و او e- The pronoun suffix ( ) ن ن ون الن س وة (Noon of the women): comes with the feminine plural of the 3 rd person ال م اض ي -3 cases: comes without a pronoun suffix only in two ال ف ع ل a. The 3 rd person (m. s.) ت ا ء الت ا ن ي ث b. The 3 rd person (f. s.) ends with What is ه ن فعل ن? ت ا ء الت ا ن ي ث - It is a verb*, with Sukoon, that comes at the end of the past tense تاء with the 3 rd person (f. s.) ه ي ت and at the end of 3 rd person (d. f.) فعل with a Fat-hah on it, to suit أل ف الاث ني ن ) ا ( pronoun before the ه ما فعل تا the long vowel Alif الا ل ف ال مد ي ة following it. ه و ت ه ي فعل فع ل Page 5

It means that the end the word never changes, whether because of the change of its position in the sentence or if preceded by certain particles. : it does not change in the different positions or after مب ن ي is ال ف ع ل ال ماض ي different particles. شر ب ال ول د ما شر ب ال ول د إن شر ب ال ولد... Ex. Notice that the end of the verb شر ب did not change. But we see a different mark on ال ف ع ل ال ماض ي when attached to different? شر با شر ب وا شر ب ت pronouns: فت حة ضم ة س ك ون These changes are due to the pronouns following them, and not related to conjugation.
