The Praise is for Allah azwj Lord azwj of the Worlds, and Blessing be upon our Chief Muhammad saww and his saww Purified Progeny asws, and greetings with abundant greetings. ب اب ط ين ة ال م ؤ م ن و ال ك اف ر Chapter 1 The clay of the Momin (Believer) and the disbeliever (Kafir) ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه ع ن ح م اد ب ن ع يس ى ع ن ر ب ع ي ب ن ع ب د للا ع ن ر ج ل ع ن ع ل ي ب ن ال ح س ي ن ) عليه السالم ( ق ال إ ن ع ز و ج ل خ ل ق الن ب ي ين م ن ط ين ة ع ل ي ين ق ل وب ه م و أ ب د ا ن ه م و خ ل ق ق ل وب ال م ؤ م ن ين م ن ت ل ك الط ين ة و ج ع ل خ ل ق أ ب د ان للا ال م ؤ م ن ين م ن د ون ذ ل ك و خ ل ق ال ك ف ار م ن ط ين ة س ج ين ق ل وب ه م و أ ب د ان ه م Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, from Rabie Bin Abdullah, from a man, (It has been narrated) from Ali asws Bin Al-Husayn asws having said: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Created the Prophets as from the clay of Illiyeen, their as hearts and their as bodies, and Created the hearts of the Momineen (plural of Momin) from that very clay, and Made the creation of the bodies of the Momineen (plural of Momin) to be from besides that; and He azwj Created the disbelivers from the clay of Sijjeen - their hearts as well as their bodies. ف خ ل ط ب ي ن الط ين ت ي ن ف م ن ه ذ ا ي ل د ال م ؤ م ن ال ك اف ر و ي ل د ال ك اف ر ال م ؤ م ن و م ن ه اه ن ا ي ص يب ال م ؤ م ن الس ي ة و م ن ه اه ن ا ي ص يب ال ك اف ر ال ح س ن ة ف ق ل وب ال م ؤ م ن ين ت ح ن إ ل ى م ا خ ل ق وا م ن ه و ق ل وب ال ك اف ر ين ت ح ن إ ل ى م ا خ ل ق وا م ن ه. Then He azwj Blended between the two clays. Thus, from this the Believer begets the disbeliever, and the disbeliever begets the Believer, and from over here the Believer commits the evil and from over here the disbeliever does good deeds. So the hearts of the Momineen (plural of Momin) yearn towards what they had been Created from, and the hearts of the disbelievers yearn towards what they have been Created from. 1 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن م ح م د ب ن ال ح س ن ع ن الن ض ر ب ن ش ع ي ب ع ن ع ب د ال غ ف ار ال ج از ي ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( ق ال ع ز و ج ل خ ل ق ال م ؤ م ن م ن ط ين ة ال ج ن ة و خ ل ق ال ك اف ر م ن ط ين ة الن ار إ ن للا Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan, from Al Nazar Bin Shuayb, from Abdul Ghaffar Al Jaazy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Created the Believer from the clay of the Paradise, and Created the disbeliever from the clay of the Fire. و ق ال إ ذ ا أ ر اد للا ع ز و ج ل ب ع ب د خ ي را ط ي ب ر وح ه و ج س د ه ف ال ي س م ع ش ي ا م ن ال خ ي ر إ ع ر ف ه و ي س م ع ش ي ا م ن ال م ن ك ر إ أ ن ك ر ه 1 Al Kafi V 2 The Book Of Belief and Disbelief CH 1 H 1 3 out of 49

4 And he asws said: And when Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Intends goodness with a servant, Cleans his soul and his body, so he does not hear anything from the goodness except that he recognises it, and he does not hear anything from the evil except that he rejects it. ق ال و س م ع ت ه ي ق ول الط ين ات ث ال ث ط ين ة ا ل ن ب ي اء و ال م ؤ م ن م ن ت ل ك الط ين ة إ أ ن ا ل ن ب ي اء ه م م ن ص ف و ت ه ا ه م ا ل ص ل و ل ه م ف ض ل ه م و ال م ؤ م ن ون ال ف ر ع م ن ط ين ز ب ك ذ ل ك ي ف ر ق للا ع ز و ج ل ب ي ن ه م و ب ي ن ش يع ت ه م He (the narrator) said, And I heard him asws saying: The clays are three (types) the clay of the Prophets asws, and the Believer is from that very clay except that the Prophets as, they as are from its elite. They as are the roots, and for them as is their as merit, and the Momineen (plural of Momin) are the branches from the sticky clay, thus Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic will not Separate between them as and their as Shia. و ق ال ط ين ة الن ا ص ب م ن ح م إ م س ن ون و أ م ا ال م س ت ض ع ف ون ف م ن ت ر اب ي ت ح و ل م ؤ م ن ع ن إ يم ان ه و ن ا ص ب ع ن ن ص ب ه و ل ل ال م ش ي ة ف يه م. And he asws said: The clay of the Hostile One (Nasibi) is from [15:26] from black mud Fashioned into shape; and as for the weak ones (of understanding), so (they are) from dust. Neither does the Believer change over from his Emān (belief), nor does the Hostile One (Nasibi) change over from his hostility, and for Allah azwj, there is the Volition regarding them. 2 ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه ع ن اب ن م ح ب وب ع ن ص ال ح ب ن س ه ل ق ال ق ل ت ل ب ي ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( ج ع ل ت ف د اك م ن أ ي ش ي ء خ ل ق للا ع ز و ج ل ط ين ة ال م ؤ م ن ف ق ال م ن ط ين ة ا ل ن ب ي اء ف ل م ت ن ج س أ ب دا. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Salih Bin Sahl who said, I said to Abu Abdullah asws, May I be sacrificed for you asws! From which thing did Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Create the clay of the Believer? So he asws said: From the clay of the Prophets as, so they would never be unclean, ever! 3 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى و غ ي ر ه ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د و غ ي ر ه ع ن م ح م د ب ن خ ل ف ع ن أ ب ي ن ه ش ل ق ال ح د ث ن ي م ح م د ب ن إ س م اع يل ع ن ج ل و ع ز خ ل ق ن ا م ن أ ع ل ى ع ل ي ين و خ ل ق ق ل وب ش يع ت ن ا أ ب ي ح م ز ة الثم ال ي ق ال س م ع ت أ ب ا ج ع ف ر ) عليه السالم ( ي ق ول إ ن للا م م ا خ ل ق ن ا م ن ه و خ ل ق أ ب د ان ه م م ن د ون ذ ل ك و ق ل وب ه م ت ه و ي إ ل ي ن ا ل ن ه ا خ ل ق ت م م ا خ ل ق ن ا م ن ه Muhammad Bin Yahya, and someone else, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, and someone else, from Muhammad Bin Khalaf, from Abu Nahshal who said, Muhammad Bin Ismail narrated to me, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly who said, I heard Abu Ja far asws saying that Allah azwj Majestic and Mighty created us asws from the high Illiyeen and Created the hearts of our asws Shia from what He azwj Created us asws from, and Created their bodies from besides that, and their hearts lend to yearn towards us asws, because these have been Created from what we asws have been Created from. ث م ت ال ه ذ ه ا ل ي ة ك ال إ ن ك تاب ا ل ب رار ل ف ي ع ل ي ين و ما أ د راك ما ع ل يون ك تاب م ر ق وم ي ش ه د ه ال م ق ر ب ون 2 Al Kafi V 2 The Book Of Belief and Disbelief CH 1 H 2 3 Al Kafi V 2 The Book Of Belief and Disbelief CH 1 H 3 4 out of 49

5 Then he asws recited these Verses [83:18] Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyeen. [83:19] And what will make you know what the highest Iliyeen is? [83:20] It is a written book, [83:21] Those of Proximity witness it. و خ ل ق ع د و ن ا م ن س ج ين و خ ل ق ق ل وب ش يع ت ه م م م ا خ ل ق ه م م ن ه و أ ب د ان ه م م ن د ون ذ ل ك ف ق ل وب ه م ت ه و ي إ ل ي ه م ل ن ه ا خ ل ق ت م م ا خ ل ق وا م ن ه ث م ت ال ه ذ ه ا ل ي ة ك ال إ ن ك تاب الف ج ار ل ف ي س ج ين و ما أ د راك ما س ج ين ك تاب م ر ق وم و ي ل ي و م ذ ل ل م ك ذ ب ين. And He azwj Created our asws enemies from Sijjeen, and Created their adherents from what He azwj Created them from, and their bodies from besides that. Thus, their hearts yearn towards them because these were Created from what they were Created from. Then he asws recited these Verses [83:7] Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjeen. [83:8] And what will make you know what the Sijjeen is? [83:9] It is a written book. [83:10] Woe on that day to the beliers. 4 ع د ة م ن أ ص ح اب ن ا ع ن س ه ل ب ن ز ي اد و غ ي ر و اح د ع ن ال ح س ي ن ب ن ال ح س ن ج م يعا ع ن م ح م د ب ن أ ور م ة ع ن م ح م د ب ن ع ل ي ع ن إ س م اع يل ب ن ي س ار ع ن ع ث م ان ب ن ي وس ف ق ال أ خ ب ر ن ي ع ب د للا ب ن ك ي س ان ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( ق ال ق ل ت ل ه أ م ا أ ن ت ف ل س ت أ ع ر ف ك ق ال ق ل ت ل ه إ ن ي و ل د ت ب ال ج ب ل و ج ع ل ت ف د اك أ ن ا م و ك ع ب د للا ب ن ك ي س ان ق ال أ م ا الن س ب ف أ ع ر ف ه و ذ ل ك ف أ خ ال ط الر ج ل ف أ ر ى ل ه ح س ن الس م ت و ح س ن ال خ ل ق ن ش أ ت ف ي أ ر ض ف ار س و إ ن ن ي أ خ ال ط الن اس ف ي الت ج ار ات و غ ي ر ق ل ة أ م ان ة و ز ع ار ة ث م أ ف ت ش ه ف أ ت ب ي ن ه ع ن و ك ث ر ة أ م ان ة ث م أ ف ت ش ه ف أ ت ب ي ن ه ع ن ع د او ت ك م و أ خ ال ط الر ج ل ف أ ر ى م ن ه س وء ال خ ل ق و و ي ت ك م ف ك ي ف ي ك ون ذ ل ك A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, and someone else, from Al Husayn Bin Al Hassan, altogether from Muhammad Bin Awrama, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Ismail Bin Yasaar, from Usman Bin Yusuf who said, Abdullah Bin Kaysan infromed me, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws, said, I said to him asws, I am your asws friend Abdullah Bin Kaysan. He asws said: As for the lineage, so I asws recognise it, and as for you, so I asws do not recognise you. I said to him asws, I was born in the mountains and grew up in the land of Persia, and I tend to blend in with the people regarding business and other than that. So I came across the man and I saw him as a good listener and good manners and a lot of trustworthiness. When I investigate I find him to be one of your asws enemies; and I came across the man and saw evil manners from him, and as being of little trustworthiness, and meanness. When I investigate I find him to be one of your asws friends. So how did that happen? ع ز و ج ل أ خ ذ ط ين ة م ن ال ج ن ة و ط ين ة م ن الن ار ف خ ل ط ه م ا ج م يع ا ث م ن ز ع ه ذ ه م ن ف ق ال ل ي أ م ا ع ل م ت ي ا اب ن ك ي س ان أ ن للا ه ذ ه و ه ذ ه م ن ه ذ ه ف م ا ر أ ي ت م ن أ ول ك م ن ا ل م ان ة و ح س ن ال خ ل ق و ح س ن الس م ت ف م م ا م س ت ه م م ن ط ين ة ال ج ن ة و ه م ي ع ود ون إ ل ى م ا خ ل ق وا م ن ه و م ا ر أ ي ت م ن ه ؤ ء م ن ق ل ة ا ل م ان ة و س وء ال خ ل ق و الز ع ار ة ف م م ا م س ت ه م م ن ط ين ة الن ار و ه م ي ع ود ون إ ل ى م ا خ ل ق وا م ن ه. So he asws said to me: But, do you not know, O Ibn Kaysan, that Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Took a clay from the Paradise and a clay from the Fire. So He azwj Blended the two together. Then He azwj Removed this from this, and this from this. Thus, what you see from those as being the ones of trustworthiness, and goodly mannerisms, and as good listeners, so it is from what has touched them from the clay of the Paradise, and they would be returning to what they had been Created from; and what you see from these as being of the ones with little trustworthiness, and evil 4 Al Kafi V 2 The Book Of Belief and Disbelief CH 1 H 4 5 out of 49

6 mannerisms, and the meanness, so it is from what touched them from the clay of the Fire, and they would be returning to what they had been Created from. 5 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن م ح م د ب ن خ ال د ع ن ص ال ح ب ن س ه ل ق ال ق ل ت ل ب ي ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( ال م ؤ م ن ون م ن ط ين ة ا ل ن ب ي اء ق ال ن ع م. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Salih Bin Sahl who said, I said to Abu Abdullah asws, The Momineen (plural of Momin) are from the clay of the Prophets as? He asws said: Yes. 6 ع ل ي ب ن م ح م د ع ن ص ال ح ب ن أ ب ي ح م اد ع ن ال ح س ي ن ب ن ي ز يد ع ن ال ح س ن ب ن ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ح م ز ة ع ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د ع ز و ج ل ل م ا أ ر اد أ ن ي خ ل ق آد م ) عليه السالم ( ب ع ث ج ب ر يل ) عليه السالم ( ف ي أ و ل للا ) عليه السالم ( ق ال إ ن للا س اع ة م ن ي و م ال ج م ع ة ف ق ب ض ب ي م ين ه ق ب ض ة ب ل غ ت ق ب ض ت ه م ن الس م اء الس اب ع ة إ ل ى الس م اء الدن ي ا و أ خ ذ م ن ك ل س م اء ت ر ب ة و ق ب ض ق ب ض ة أ خ ر ى م ن ا ل ر ض الس اب ع ة ال ع ل ي ا إ ل ى ا ل ر ض الس اب ع ة ال ق ص و ى Ali Bin Muhammad, from Salih Bin Abu Hammad, from Al Husayn Bin Yazeed, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Ibrahim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic, when He azwj Intended to Create Adam as, Sent Jibraeel as during the beginning time from the day of Friday. So he as grabbed a handful in his as right hand, his as handful reaching from the seventh sky to the sky of the world; and he as took some dust from every sky. And he as grabbed another handful from the highest seventh earth (firmament) to the furthest seventh earth (firmament). ف أ م ر للا ع ز و ج ل ك ل م ت ه ف أ م س ك ال ق ب ض ة ا ل ول ى ب ي م ين ه و ال ق ب ض ة ا ل خ ر ى ب ش م ال ه ف ف ل ق الط ين ف ل ق ت ي ن ف ذ ر ا م ن ا ل ر ض ذ ر وا و م ن الس م او ات ذ ر وا ف ق ال ل ل ذ ي ب ي م ين ه م ن ك الرس ل و ا ل ن ب ي اء و ا ل و ص ي اء و ال ص د يق ون و ال م ؤ م ن ون و السع د اء و م ن أ ر يد ك ر ام ت ه ف و ج ب ل ه م م ا ق ال ك م ا ق ال Then, Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Commanded His azwj Word (Kalimat-Allah azwj ) so it withheld the former handful in his right hand and the latter handful in his left hand, and split the clay into two parts and scattered from the earth with a scattering, and from the skies with a scattering. So He azwj Said to those in his right hand: From you would be the Rasools as, and the Prophets as, and the successors as, and the truthful ones, and the Momineen (plural of Momin), and the fortunate ones, and the ones who want its prestige. Thus, it Obligated upon them what He azwj Said, just as He azwj Said it to be. و ق ال ل ل ذ ي ب ش م ال ه م ن ك ال ج ب ار ون و ال م ش ر ك ون و ال ك اف ر ون و الط و اغ يت و م ن أ ر يد ه و ان ه و ش ق و ت ه ف و ج ب ل ه م م ا ق ال ك م ا ق ال And He azwj Said to those in its left hand: From you would be the tyrants, and the Polytheists, and the disbelievers, and the despots, and the ones who wants its indignity and its wickedness. 7 فال ق ال ح ب و الن و ى ف ال ح ب ط ين ة ال م ؤ م ن ين ال ت ي أ ل ق ى للا ع ل ي ه ا ث م إ ن الط ين ت ي ن خ ل ط ت ا ج م يعا و ذ ل ك ق و ل للا ع ز و ج ل إ ن للا م ح ب ت ه و الن و ى ط ين ة ال ك اف ر ين ال ذ ين ن أ و ا ع ن ك ل خ ي ر و إ ن م ا س م ي الن و ى م ن أ ج ل أ ن ه ن أ ى ع ن ك ل خ ي ر و ت ب اع د ع ن ه Then the two clays were both mixed together, and these are the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic [6:95] Surely, Allah is the Splitter of the seed and the stone. So the seed is the clay of the Momineen (plural of Momin) upon which Allah azwj Cast His azwj Love; and the stone is the clay of the disbelievers which is distanced from every goodness. And rather, it is named as the stone from the reason that it is away from every goodness and remote from it. و ق ال للا ع ز و ج ل ي خ ر ج ال ح ي م ن ال م ي ت و م خ ر ج ال م ي ت م ن ال ح ي ف ال ح ي ال م ؤ م ن ال ذ ي ت خ ر ج ط ين ت ه م ن ط ين ة ال ك اف ر و ال م ي ت ال ذ ي ي خ ر ج م ن ال ح ي ه و ال ك اف ر ال ذ ي ي خ ر ج م ن ط ين ة ال م ؤ م ن ف ال ح ي ال م ؤ م ن و ال م ي ت ال ك اف ر و ذ ل ك ق و ل ه ع ز و ج ل أ و م ن كان م ي تا ف أ ح ي ي ناه ف ك ان م و ت ه اخ ت ال ط ط ين ت ه م ع ط ين ة ال ك اف ر و ك ان ح ي ات ه ح ين ف ر ق للا ع ز و ج ل ب ي ن ه م ا ب ك ل م ت ه And Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said [6:95] He Extracts the living from the dead and He is the Extractor of the dead from the living. So the living is the Believer whose clay is extracted from the clay of the disbeliever; and the dead who is extracted from the living, he is the disbeliever who comes out from the clay of the Believer. So the living is the Believer, and the dead is the disbeliever, and these are the Words of the Mighty and Majestic [6:122] Is he who was dead then We Raised him to life. So his death was the mixture of his clay along with the clay of the disbeliever, and his life was when Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Separated between the two by His azwj Word (Kalimat-Allah azwj ). ك ذ ل ك ي خ ر ج للا ع ز و ج ل ال م ؤ م ن ف ي ال م يال د م ن الظل م ة ب ع د د خ ول ه ف يه ا إ ل ى النور و ي خ ر ج ال ك اف ر م ن النور إ ل ى الظ ل م ة ب ع د د خ ول ه إ ل ى النور و ذ ل ك ق و ل ه ع ز و ج ل ل ي ن ذ ر م ن كان ح ي ا و ي ح ق ال ق و ل ع ل ى ال كاف ر ين. Like that Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Extracts the Believer during the birth from the darkness after his entry into it - to the light, and He azwj Extracts the disbeliever from the light towards the darkness after his entry into the light; and these are the Words of the Mighty and Majestic [36:70] That it may warn him who is alive, and (that) the Word may prove true against the unbelievers. 7 ب اب آخ ر م ن ه و ف يه ز ي اد ة و ق وع الت ك ل يف ا ل و ل Chapter 2 Another Chapter from it, and in it is an increase Occurrence of the first Mandate أ ب و ع ل ي ا ل ش ع ر ي و م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن م ح م د ب ن إ س م اع يل ع ن ع ل ي ب ن ال ح ك م ع ن أ ب ان ب ن ع ث م ان ع ن ز ر ار ة ع ن أ ب ي ع ز و ج ل ق ب ل أ ن ي خ ل ق ال خ ل ق ق ال ك ن ج ع ف ر ) عليه السالم ( ق ال ل و ع ل م الن اس ك ي ف اب ت د اء ال خ ل ق م ا اخ ت ل ف اث ن ان إ ن للا م اء ع ذ با أ خ ل ق م ن ك ج ن ت ي و أ ه ل ط اع ت ي و ك ن م ل حا أ ج اجا أ خ ل ق م ن ك ن ار ي و أ ه ل م ع ص ي ت ي Abu Ali Al Ashary and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Aban Bin Usman, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws having said: If the people knew how the creation began, no two would differ. I azwj shall Create from you, My azwj Fire and the people who disobey Me azwj. ث م أ م ر ه م ا ف ام ت ز ج ا ف م ن ذ ل ك ص ار ي ل د ال م ؤ م ن ال ك اف ر و ال ك اف ر ال م ؤ م ن ث م أ خ ذ ط ينا م ن أ د يم ا ل ر ض ف ع ر ك ه ع ر كا ش د يدا ف إ ذ ا ه م ك الذ ر ي د بون ف ق ال ل ص ح اب ال ي م ين إ ل ى ال ج ن ة ب س ال م و ق ال ل ص ح اب الش م ال إ ل ى ال ن ار و أ ب ال ي Then, He azwj Commanded both of them, so they were blended. Thus, from that the Believer came to beget the disbeliever, and the disbeliever (begetting) the Believer. Then he (the Kalimat-Allah azwj ) grabbed a clay from the crust of the earth, and kneaded it with an intense kneading, and they were like the particles, crawling. So He azwj said to the companions of the right hand: To the Paradise in peace, and Said to the companions of the left hand: To the Fire, and I azwj don t Care. ث م أ م ر ن ارا ف أ س ع ر ت ف ق ال ل ص ح اب الش م ال اد خ ل وه ا ف ه اب وه ا ف ق ال ل ص ح اب ال ي م ين اد خ ل وه ا ف د خ ل وه ا ف ق ال ك ون ي ب ر دا و س ال ما ف ك ان ت ب ر دا و س ال ما ف ق ال أ ص ح اب الش م ال ي ا ر ب أ ق ل ن ا ف ق ال ق د أ ق ل ت ك م ف اد خ ل وه ا ف ذ ه ب وا ف ه اب وه ا ف ث م ث ب ت ت الط اع ة و ال م ع ص ي ة ف ال ي س ت ط يع ه ؤ ء أ ن ي ك ون وا م ن ه ؤ ء و ه ؤ ء م ن ه ؤ ء. Then He azwj Commanded a fire, so it inflamed, and He azwj Said to the companions of the left: Enter into it. But they were terrified of it. So He azwj Said to the companions of the right: Enter into it. So they entered it. So He azwj Said: Be cool and a safety. So it was cool and safe. So the companions of the left said, O Lord! Forgive us! So He azwj Said: I Forgive you. So enter into it. So they went but were terrified of it. So from then was affirmed the obedience and the disobedience. Thus, these ones do not have the capacity that they happen to be from those, and those ones do not have the capacity to be from these. 8 س أ ل أ ب ا ج ع ف ر ) عليه السالم ( ع ن ق و ل للا ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه ع ن اب ن أ ب ي ع م ي ر ع ن اب ن أ ذ ي ن ة ع ن ز ر ار ة أ ن ر ج ال ج ل و ع ز و إ ذ أ خ ذ ر بك م ن ب ن ي آد م م ن ظ ه ور ه م ذ ر ي ت ه م و أ ش ه د ه م ع لى أ ن ف س ه م أ ل س ت ب ر ب ك م قال وا ب لى إ ل ى آخ ر ا ل ي ة Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibn Azina, from Zurara that, A man asked Abu Ja far asws about the Words of Allah azwj Majestic and Mighty [7:172] And when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their backs, their descendants, and made them testify against their own souls: Am I not your Lord? They said: Yes! We testify up to the end of the Verse. ع ز و ج ل ق ب ض ق ب ض ة م ن ت ر اب التر ب ة ال ت ي خ ل ق م ن ه ا آد م ) عليه ف ق ال و أ ب وه ي س م ع ) عليه السالم ( ح د ث ن ي أ ب ي أ ن للا السالم ( ف ص ب ع ل ي ه ا ال م اء ال ع ذ ب ال ف ر ات ث م ت ر ك ه ا أ ر ب ع ين ص ب احا ث م ص ب ع ل ي ه ا ال م اء ال م ال ح ا ل ج اج ف ت ر ك ه ا أ ر ب ع ين ص ب احا ف ل م ا اخ ت م ر ت الط ين ة أ خ ذ ه ا ف ع ر ك ه ا ع ر كا ش د يدا ف خ ر ج وا ك الذ ر م ن ي م ين ه و ش م ال ه و أ م ر ه م ج م يعا أ ن ي ق ع وا ف ي الن ار ف د خ ل أ ص ح اب ال ي م ين ف ص ار ت ع ل ي ه م ب ر دا و س ال ما و أ ب ى أ ص ح اب الش م ال أ ن ي د خ ل وه ا. So he asws said, and his asws father asws was listening: My asws father asws narrated to me that Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Grabbed a Handfull of dust, the dust from which Adam as was Created, and He azwj Poured the sweet water of the Euphrates over it. Then He azwj Left it for forty mornings. Then He azwj Poured the salty, bitter water over it, and Left it for forty mornings. So when the clay became (like) dough, He azwj Grabbed it and Kneaded it with an intense kneading. So the companions of the right entered, and it became cold, safe, for them, but the companions of the left refused to enter into it. 9 ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ب ن أ ب ي ن ص ر ع ن أ ب ان ب ن ع ث م ان ع ن م ح م د ب ن ع ل ي ال ح ل ب ي ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ع ز و ج ل ل م ا أ ر اد أ ن ي خ ل ق آد م ) عليه السالم ( أ ر س ل ال م اء ع ل ى الط ين ث م ق ب ض ق ب ض ة ) عليه السالم ( ق ال إ ن للا ف ع ر ك ه ا ث م ف ر ق ه ا ف ر ق ت ي ن ب ي د ه ث م ذ ر أ ه م ف إ ذ ا ه م ي د بون Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Aban Bin Usman, from Muhammad Bin Ali Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic, when He azwj Intended to Create Adam as, Sent the water upon the clay. Then He azwj Grabbed a Handfull and Kneaded it. The Separated it into two arts by His azwj Hand. Then He azwj Scattered them and they were crawling. أ ه ل ال ي م ين أ ن ي د خ ل وه ا ف ذ ه ب وا ه م ن ارا ف أ م ر أ ه ل الش م ال أ ن ي د خ ل وه ا ف ذ ه ب وا إ ل ي ه ا ف ه اب وه ا ف ل م ي د خ ل وه ا ث م أ م ر ث م ر ف ع ل ف د خ ل وه ا ف أ م ر للا ج ل و ع ز الن ار ف ك ان ت ع ل ي ه م ب ر دا و س ال ما ف ل م ا ر أ ى ذ ل ك أ ه ل الش م ال ق ال وا ر ب ن ا أ ق ل ن ا ف أ ق ال ه م ث م ق ال ل ه م اد خ ل وه ا ف ذ ه ب وا ف ق ام وا ع ل ي ه ا و ل م ي د خ ل وه ا ف أ ع اد ه م ط ينا و خ ل ق م ن ه ا آد م ) عليه السالم ( Then He azwj Raised a Fire for them, and Commanded the people of the left that they should be entering into it. So they went towards it, but were terrified of it, so they did not enter into it. Then He azwj Commanded the people of the right that they should be entering into it. So they went towards it and entered into it. So Allah azwj Majestic and Mighty Commanded the Fire, so it was cold and safe for them. So when the people of the left saw that, they said, Our Lord azwj! Forgive us. So He azwj Forgave them, then Said to them: Enter into it! So they went and stood at it but did not enter into it. So He azwj Returned them (all) as clay and Created Adam as from it. و ق ال أ ب و ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( ف ل ن ي س ت ط يع ه ؤ ء أ ن ي ك ون وا م ن ه ؤ ء و ه ؤ ء أ ن ي ك ون وا م ن ه ؤ ء And Abu Abdullah asws said: So these ones will never have the capacity that they become from those ones nor would those ones to happen to be from these ones. ق ال ف ي ر و ن أ ن ر س ول للا ) صلى للا عليه وآله ( أ و ل م ن د خ ل ت ل ك الن ار ف ذ ل ك ق و ل ه ج ل و ع ز ق ل إ ن كان ل لر ح من و ل د ف أ ن ا أ و ل ال عاب د ين. So He azwj Blended the two waters, and Grabbed clay from the crust of the earth and Kneaded it with an intense Kneading. So He azwj Said to the companions of the right, and they were like the crawling particles: To the Paradise in peace!, and Said to the companions of the left: To the Fire, and I azwj don t Care. ث م ق ال أ ل س ت ب ر ب ك م قال وا ب لى ش ه د نا أ ن ت ق ول وا ي و م ال ق يام ة إ ن ا ك ن ا ع ن هذا غاف ل ين ث م أ خ ذ ال م يث اق ع ل ى الن ب ي ين ف ق ال أ ل س ت ب ر ب ك م و أ ن ه ذ ا م ح م د ر س ول ي و أ ن ه ذ ا ع ل ي أ م ير ال م ؤ م ن ين ق ال وا ب ل ى ف ث ب ت ت ل ه م النب و ة Then He azwj Said [7:172] Am I not your Lord? They said: Yes! We testify. Lest you should say on the Day of Judgement: Surely we were heedless of this. Then He azwj Took the Covenant upon the Prophets as, so He azwj Said [7:172] Am I not your Lord? And that this is Muhammad saww, My azwj Rasool saww, and that this is Ali asws Amir Al-Momineen asws? They said: Yes! We testify. So the Prophet-hood was Affirmed for them as. أ و ص ي اؤ ه م ن ب ع د ه و ة أ م ر ي و خ ز ان و أ خ ذ ال م يث اق ع ل ى أ ول ي ال ع ز م أ ن ن ي ر بك م و م ح م د ر س ول ي و ع ل ي أ م ير ال م ؤ م ن ين و أ ع د ا ي و أ ع ب د ب ه ط و عا و ك ر ها ع ل م ي ) عليهم السالم ( و أ ن ال م ه د ي أ ن ت ص ر ب ه ل د ين ي و أ ظ ه ر ب ه د و ل ت ي و أ ن ت ق م ب ه م ن And He azwj Took the Covenant upon the Determined Ones (Ul Al-Azam) (from the Prophets as ): I azwj am your as Lord azwj, and that this Muhammad saww is My azwj Rasool saww, and Ali asws is Amir Al-Momineen asws and the successors asws from after him saww are the Masters of My azwj Command and Treasurers of My azwj Knowledge, and that Al-Mahdi asws, I azwj Shall Grant victory to My azwj Religion through him asws, and Manifest My azwj Government through him asws, and Exact revenge from My azwj enemies through him asws, and I azwj shall be worshipped willingly and unwillingly through him asws. ق ال وا أ ق ر ر ن ا ي ا ر ب و ش ه د ن ا و ل م ي ج ح د آد م و ل م ي ق ر ف ث ب ت ت ال ع ز يم ة ل ه ؤ ء ال خ م س ة ف ي ال م ه د ي و ل م ي ك ن ل د م ع ز م ع ل ى ق ر ار ب ه و ه و ق و ل ه ع ز و ج ل و ل ق د ع ه د نا إ لى آد م م ن ق ب ل ف ن س ي و ل م ن ج د ل ه ع ز ما ا ل They as said: We asws acknowledge, O Lord azwj, and we testify. And Adam as neither denied nor acknowledged. Thus, the Determination was affirmed for these five regarding Al-Mahdi asws, and Adam as did not become a Determined One (Ul Al-Azam) upon the acknowledgement of him asws, and these are the Words of the Mighty and Majestic [20:115] And We had Given a Covenant to Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find determination in him. ق ال إ ن م ا ه و ف ت ر ك ث م أ م ر ن ارا ف أ ج ج ت ف ق ال ل ص ح اب الش م ال اد خ ل وه ا ف ه اب وه ا و ق ال ل ص ح اب ال ي م ين اد خ ل وه ا ف د خ ل وه ا ف ك ان ت ع ل ي ه م ب ر دا و س ال ما ف ق ال أ ص ح اب الش م ال ي ا ر ب أ ق ل ن ا ف ق ال ق د أ ق ل ت ك م اذ ه ب وا ف اد خ ل وا ف ه اب وه ا ف ث م ث ب ت ت الط اع ة و ال و ي ة و ال م ع ص ي ة. 10 out of 49

11 He asws said: But rather, he as was left out. Then He azwj Commanded the Fire, so it inflamed, and He azwj Said to the companions of the left: Enter into it, But they were terrified of it. And He azwj Said to the companions of the right: Enter into it. So they entered into it, and it was cold and safe upon them. So the comanions of the left said, O Lord azwj! Forgive us. So He azwj Said: I azwj Forgive you, so enter into it. But, they were terrified of it. Thus, with this obedience, the Wilayah, and the disobedience (to Wilayah) came to take place. 11 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د و ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه ع ن ال ح س ن ب ن م ح ب وب ع ن ه ش ام ب ن س ال م ع ن ح ب يب ع ز و ج ل ل م ا أ خ ر ج ذ ر ي ة آد م ) عليه السالم ( م ن ظ ه ر ه الس ج س ت ان ي ق ال س م ع ت أ ب ا ج ع ف ر ) عليه السالم ( ي ق ول إ ن للا ل ي أ خ ذ ع ل ي ه م ال م يث اق ب الرب وب ي ة ل ه و ب النب و ة ل ك ل ن ب ي ف ك ان أ و ل م ن أ خ ذ ل ه ع ل ي ه م ال م يث اق ب ن ب و ت ه م ح م د ب ن ع ب د للا ) صلى للا عليه وآله ( Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Hisham Bin Salim, from Habeeb Al Sijistany who said, I heard Abu Ja far asws saying: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic. When He azwj Extracted the offspring of Adam as from his as back in order to Take the Covenant with the Lordship for Himself azwj, and with the Prophet-hood for every Prohet as, so the first one He azwj Took the Covenant for Himself azwj upon him with his saww Prophet-hood was Muhammad Bin Abdullah saww. ث م ق ال للا ع ز و ج ل ل د م ان ظ ر م ا ذ ا ت ر ى ق ال ف ن ظ ر آد م ) عليه السالم ( إ ل ى ذ ر ي ت ه و ه م ذ ر ق د م ل وا الس م اء ق ال آد م ) ج ل ي ع ب د ون ن ي عليه السالم ( ي ا ر ب م ا أ ك ث ر ذ ر ي ت ي و ل م ر م ا خ ل ق ت ه م ف م ا ت ر يد م ن ه م ب أ خ ذ ك ال م يث اق ع ل ي ه م ق ال للا ع ز و ي ش ر ك ون ب ي ش ي ا و ي ؤ م ن ون ب ر س ل ي و ي ت ب ع ون ه م Then Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said to Adam as : Look! What do you as see? He asws said: So Adam as looked at his as children, and they were particles which had filled up the sky. Adam as said: O Lord azwj! How abundant are my as children and for what matter have You azwj Created them? So what do You azwj Want from them by Taking the Covenant upon them? Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: For them to be worshipping Me azwj not associating anything with Me azwj, and believing in My azwj Rasools as and following them as. ق ال آد م ) عليه السالم ( ي ا ر ب ف م ا ل ي أ ر ى ب ع ض الذ ر أ ع ظ م م ن ب ع ض و ب ع ض ه م ل ه ن ور ك ث ير و ب ع ض ه م ل ه ن ور ق ل يل و ب ع ض ه م ل ي س ل ه ن ور ف ق ال للا ع ز و ج ل ك ذ ل ك خ ل ق ت ه م ل ب ل و ه م ف ي ك ل ح ا ت ه م Adam as said: O Lord azwj! So what is the matter I as see some of the particles to be greater than the others, and some of them have a lot of light for them, and some of them are of little light, and some of them have no light for them? 12 Adam as said: O Lord azwj! So, could You azwj Permit me as regarding the speech, so I as can speak (to them)? Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: Speak, for your as spirit is from My azwj Spirit, but your azwj nature is different from My azwj Being. Adam as said: O Lord azwj! If only You azwj had Created them upon one likeness, and of one measurement, and of one clay, and of one constitution, and of one colour, and of one age, and with the equal sustenance, some of them would not rebel against the others, and there would neither happen to be between them any envy, or hatred, or differing with regards to anything from the things. ق ال للا ع ز و ج ل ي ا آد م ب ر وح ي ن ط ق ت و ب ض ع ف ط ب يع ت ك ت ك ل ف ت م ا ع ل م ل ك ب ه و أ ن ا ال خ ال ق ال ع ال م ب ع ل م ي خ ال ف ت ب ي ن خ ل ق ه م و ب م ش ي ت ي ي م ض ي ف يه م أ م ر ي و إ ل ى ت د ب ير ي و ت ق د ير ي ص ا ر ون ت ب د يل ل خ ل ق ي Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: O Adam as! By My azwj Spirit you as speak, and by the weakness is in your as nature you as made the effort on what there is no knowledge for you as in it, and I azwj am the Creator, the Knowledgeable. With My azwj Knowledge I azwj Caused the difference in their Creation, and by My azwj Desire do I azwj Ordain My azwj Command among them, and to My azwj Management and My azwj Ordainment are they coming into being, there being no alteration in My azwj Creation. ن س ل ي ع ب د ون و خ ل ق ت ال ج ن ة ل م ن أ ط اع ن ي و ع ب د ن ي م ن ه م و ات ب ع ر س ل ي و أ ب ال ي و خ ل ق ت الن ار ل م ن إ ن م ا خ ل ق ت ال ج ن و ا ل ك ف ر ب ي و ع ص ان ي و ل م ي ت ب ع ر س ل ي و أ ب ال ي But rather, I azwj Created the Jinn and the human beings for them to be worshipping Me azwj, and I azwj Created the Paradise for the one who obeys Me azwj and worships Me azwj from them, and follows My azwj Rasools as, and I azwj do not Retract; and I azwj Created the Fire for the one who disbelieve in Me azwj, and disobeys Me azwj, and does not follow My azwj Rasools as, and I azwj do not Retract. و خ ل ق ت ك و خ ل ق ت ذ ر ي ت ك م ن غ ي ر ف اق ة ب ي إ ل ي ك و إ ل ي ه م و إ ن م ا خ ل ق ت ك و خ ل ق ت ه م ل ب ل و ك و أ ب ل و ه م أ يك م أ ح س ن ع م ال ف ي د ار الدن ي ا ف ي ح ي ات ك م و ق ب ل م م ات ك م ف ل ذ ل ك خ ل ق ت الدن ي ا و ا ل خ ر ة و ال ح ي اة و ال م و ت و الط اع ة و ال م ع ص ي ة و ال ج ن ة و الن ار And I azwj Created you as and your as offspring from without a need of Mine to you as and to them, and rather I azwj Created you as and Created them in order to Test you as and Test them, which ones of you is best of deeds in the house of the world during your lifetime and before your deaths. Thus, for that I azwj Created the world and the Hereafter, and the life and the death, and the obedience and the disobedience, and the Paradise and the Fire. و ك ذ ل ك أ ر د ت ف ي ت ق د ير ي و ت د ب ير ي و ب ع ل م ي الن اف ذ ف يه م خ ال ف ت ب ي ن ص و ر ه م و أ ج س ام ه م و أ ل و ان ه م و أ ع م ار ه م و أ ر ز اق ه م و ط اع ت ه م و م ع ص ي ت ه م ف ج ع ل ت م ن ه م الش ق ي و الس ع يد و ال ب ص ير و ا ل ع م ى و ال ق ص ير و الط و يل و ال ج م يل و الد م يم و ال ع ال م و ال ج اه ل و ال غ ن ي و ال ف ق ير و ال م ط يع و ال ع ا ص ي و ال ص ح يح و الس ق يم و م ن ب ه الز م ان ة و م ن ع اه ة ب ه And like that, I azwj Intended in My azwj Ordainment and My azwj Management, and with My azwj Knowledge, the Implementation among them of the difference between their chests (consciences), and their bodies, and their colours, and their ages, and their sustenance, and their obedience, and their disobedience. So I azwj Made from them, the miserable, and the fortunate, and the seeing and the blind, and the short and the long, and the beautiful and the ugly, and the knowledgeable and the ignorant, and the rich and the poor, and the obedient and the disobedient, and the healthy and the sick, and the one with disabilities and the one with no handicap with him. 12 out of 49

13 ف ي ن ظ ر ال ص ح يح إ ل ى ال ذ ي ب ه ال ع اه ة ف ي ح م د ن ي ع ل ى ع اف ي ت ه و ي ن ظ ر ال ذ ي ب ه ال ع اه ة إ ل ى ال ص ح يح ف ي د ع ون ي و ي س أ ل ن ي أ ن أ ع اف ي ه و ي ص ب ر ع ل ى ب ال ي ف أ ث يب ه ج ز يل ع ط ا ي و ي ن ظ ر ال غ ن ي إ ل ى ال ف ق ير ف ي ح م د ن ي و ي ش ك ر ن ي و ي ن ظ ر ال ف ق ير إ ل ى ال غ ن ي ف ي د ع ون ي و ي س أ ل ن ي و ي ن ظ ر ال م ؤ م ن إ ل ى ال ك اف ر ف ي ح م د ن ي ع ل ى م ا ه د ي ت ه So the healthy would look at the one with the disability and he would Praise Me azwj ; and the one with the disability would look at the healthy and he would supplicate to Me azwj and ask Me azwj for his good health and be patient upon My azwj Affliction, so I azwj would Grant him a lot of My azwj Grants. And the rich would look at the poor and he would Praise Me azwj and thank Me azwj, and the poor would look at the rich and would suplicate to me and ask Me azwj. And the Believer would look at the disbeliever and he would Praise Me azwj upon what I azwj Guided him. ف ل ذ ل ك خ ل ق ت ه م ل ب ل و ه م ف ي الس ر اء و الض ر اء و ف يم ا أ ع اف يه م و ف يم ا أ ب ت ل يه م و ف يم ا أ ع ط يه م و ف يم ا أ م ن ع ه م و أ ن ا للا ال م ل ك ال ق اد ر و ل ي أ ن أ م ض ي ج م يع م ا ق د ر ت ع ل ى م ا د ب ر ت و ل ي أ ن أ غ ي ر م ن ذ ل ك م ا ش ت إ ل ى م ا ش ت و أ ق د م م ن ذ ل ك م ا أ ن ا أ س أ ل خ ل ق ي ع م ا ه م ف اع ل ون. أ خ ر ت و أ ؤ خ ر م ن ذ ل ك م ا ق د م ت و أ ن ا للا ال ف ع ال ل م ا أ ر يد أ س أ ل ع م ا أ ف ع ل و Thus, it is for that I azwj Created them in order to Test them during the ease and adversity, and regarding what I azwj Grant them good health and regarding what I azwj Test them, and regarding what I azwj Give them and regarding what I azwj Prevent them from; and I azwj am Allah azwj, the King, the Powerful, and for Me azwj is that I azwj Implement the entirety of what I azwj Ordain, and for Me azwj is that I azwj Change from that whatever I azwj so Desire to whatever I azwj so Desire, and I azwj Bring forward from that whatever I azwj had Delayed, and Delay what I azwj had Brought forward, and I azwj am Allah azwj. I azwj Do whatever I azwj Want. I azwj will not be questioned about what I azwj Do, and I azwj will be Questioning My azwj creatures about what they are doing. 12 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن م ح م د ب ن ال ح س ي ن ع ن م ح م د ب ن إ س م اع يل ع ن ص ال ح ب ن ع ق ب ة ع ن ع ب د للا ب ن م ح م د ال ج ع ف ي و ع ق ب ة ع ز و ج ل خ ل ق ال خ ل ق ف خ ل ق م ن أ ح ب م م ا أ ح ب و ك ان م ا أ ح ب أ ن خ ل ق ه ج م يعا ع ن أ ب ي ج ع ف ر ) عليه السالم ( ق ال إ ن للا أ ي م ن ط ين ة ال ج ن ة و خ ل ق م ن أ ب غ ض م م ا أ ب غ ض و ك ان م ا أ ب غ ض أ ن خ ل ق ه م ن ط ين ة الن ار ث م ب ع ث ه م ف ي الظ ال ل ف ق ل ت و ش ي ء الظ ال ل ف ق ال أ ل م ت ر إ ل ى ظ ل ك ف ي الش م س ش ي ا و ل ي س ب ش ي ء Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Salih Bin Uqba, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Juf y, and Uqba altogether, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws having said: Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Created the creatures. So He azwj Created the ones He azwj Loved from what He azwj Loved, and whatever He azwj Loved He azwj, Created it from the clay of the Paradise; and He azwj Created the ones He azwj Hated from what He azwj Hated, and whatever He azwj Hated, Created it from the clay of the Fire. Then He azwj Sent them into the shadows. So I said, And which thing is the shadow? So he asws said: Do you not see your own shadow in the sunshine? It is something, but is not a thing. ق ر ار ب ا ل ل ع ز و ج ل و ه و ق و ل ه ع ز و ج ل و ل ن س أ ل ت ه م م ن خ ل ق ه م ل ي ق ول ن للا ث م ث م ب ع ث م ن ه م الن ب ي ين ف د ع و ه م إ ل ى ا ل ق ر ار ب الن ب ي ين ف أ ق ر ب ع ض ه م و أ ن ك ر ب ع ض ث م د ع و ه م إ ل ى و ي ت ن ا ف أ ق ر ب ه ا و للا م ن أ ح ب و أ ن ك ر ه ا م ن أ ب غ ض د ع و ه م إ ل ى ا ل و ه و ق و ل ه ف ما كان وا ل ي ؤ م ن وا ب ما ك ذ ب وا ب ه م ن ق ب ل ث م ق ال أ ب و ج ع ف ر ) عليه السالم ( ك ان الت ك ذ يب ث م. Then He azwj Sent Prophets as from them, and they as invited them to the acknowledgment in Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic, and these are the Words of the 12 Al Kafi V 2 The Book Of Belief and Disbelief CH 3 H 2 13 out of 49

14 Mighty and Majestic [43:87] And if you should ask them who created them, they would certainly say: Allah. Then He azwj Invited them to the acknowledgement in the Prophets as. So some of them acknowledged, and some denied. Then He azwj Invited them to our asws Wilayah, So he acknowledge in it, By Allah azwj, the one whom He azwj Loved, and he denied it, the one whom He azwj Hated, and these are His azwj Words [10:74] but they were not going to believe in what they had belied in beforehand. Then Abu Ja far asws said: The belying (in us asws ) was (from) then. 13 ب اب أ ن ر س ول هللا ( صلى هللا عليه وآله ) أ و ل م ن أ ج اب و أ ق ر هلل ع ز و ج ل ب الر ب وب ي ة Chapter 4 Rasool-Allah saww was the first one to answer and acknowledge to Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic with the Lordship م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن ال ح س ن ب ن م ح ب وب ع ن ص ال ح ب ن س ه ل ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( أ ن ب ع ض ق ر ي ش ق ال ل ر س ول للا ) صلى للا عليه وآله ( ب أ ي ش ي ء س ب ق ت ا ل ن ب ي اء و أ ن ت ب ع ث ت آخ ر ه م و خ ات م ه م ف ق ال إ ن ي ك ن ت أ و ل ه م أ ل س ت ب ر ب ك م ف ك ن ت أ ن ا أ و ل ن ب ي ق ال ب ل ى م ن آم ن ب ر ب ي و أ و ل م ن أ ج اب ح ي ث أ خ ذ للا م يث اق الن ب ي ين و أ ش ه د ه م ع ل ى أ ن ف س ق ر ار ب ا ل ل ع ز و ج ل. ف س ب ق ت ه م ب ا ل Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Salih Bin Sahl, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: One of the Qureysh said to Rasool-Allah saww, By which thing do you saww precede the (other) Prophets as, and you saww were Sent at the end of them as, and as their as last? So he saww said: I saww was the first one to believe in my saww Lord azwj, and the first one to answer when He azwj Took the Covenant of the Prophets as [7:172] and made them testify against themselves: Am I not your Lord? So I saww was the first Prophet saww to say: Yes. Thus I saww preceded them as with the acknowledgement in Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic. 14 أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن م ح م د ب ن خ ال د ع ن ب ع ض أ ص ح اب ن ا ع ن ع ب د للا ب ن س ن ان ق ال ق ل ت ل ب ي ع ب د للا ) عليه السالم ( ج ع ل ت ف د اك إ ن ي ل ر ى ب ع ض أ ص ح اب ن ا ي ع ت ر يه الن ز ق و ال ح د ة و الط ي ش ف أ غ ت م ل ذ ل ك غ ما ش د يدا و أ ر ى م ن خ ال ف ن ا ف أ ر اه ح س ن الس م ت ق ال ت ق ل ح س ن الس م ت ف إ ن الس م ت س م ت الط ر يق و ل ك ن ق ل ح س ن الس يم اء ف إ ن للا ع ز و ج ل ي ق ول س يماه م ف ي و ج وه ه م م ن أ ث ر السج ود Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Khalid, from one of our companions, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, I said to Abu Abdullah asws, May I be sacrificed for you asws! I see one of our companions as being temperamental, and irritable and reckless. So I become gloomy due to that with intense gloom; and I see the one who opposes us, and I see him being on a good way. So, I become gloomy due to that. He asws said: Do not be gloomy due to what you see from the irritability of your companions, and due to what you see from the goodly appearance of the one opposed to you. When Allah azwj Blessed and High Intended to Create Adam as, Created those two clays, then separated between the two as two parts. So He azwj Said to the companions of the right: Be Created by My azwj Permission! So they became creatures at the status of the particles running around; and He azwj Said to the people of the left: Be Created by My azwj Permission! So they became creatures at the status of the particles toddling around. ث م ر ف ع ل ه م ن ارا ف ق ال اد خ ل وه ا ب إ ذ ن ي ف ك ان أ و ل م ن د خ ل ه ا م ح م د ) صلى للا عليه وآله ( ث م ات ب ع ه أ ول و ال ع ز م م ن الرس ل و أ و ص ي اؤ ه م و أ ت ب اع ه م ث م ق ال ل ص ح اب الش م ال اد خ ل وه ا ب إ ذ ن ي ف ق ال وا ر ب ن ا خ ل ق ت ن ا ل ت ح ر ق ن ا ف ع ص و ا Then He azwj Raised a fire for them, and He azwj Said: Enter into it by My azwj Permission! So the first one to enter it was Muhammad saww. Then the Determined ones (Ul Al-Azam) from the Rasools as followed him saww, and their as successors as, and their as followers. Then He azwj Said to the companions of the left: Enter into it by My azwj Permission! So they said, Our Lord azwj! You azwj Created us to incinerate us? So they disobeyed. ف ق ال ل ص ح اب ال ي م ين اخ ر ج وا ب إ ذ ن ي م ن الن ار ل م ت ك ل م الن ار م ن ه م ك ل ما و ل م ت ؤ ث ر ف يه م أ ث را ف ل م ا ر آه م أ ص ح اب الش م ال ق ال وا ر ب ن ا ن ر ى أ ص ح اب ن ا ق د س ل م وا ف أ ق ل ن ا و م ر ن ا ب الدخ ول ق ال ق د أ ق ل ت ك م ف اد خ ل وه ا So He azwj Said to the companions of the right: Come out by My azwj Permission, from the fire! The fire did not injure any of them with an injury and did not leave any traces of its effects. So when the companions of the left saw them, they said, Our Lord azwj! We saw our companions have been saved. So Forgive us and Command us with the entering. He azwj Said: I azwj have Forgiven you, so enter into it! ه ج ر ج ع وا ف ق ال وا ي ا ر ب ن ا ص ب ر ل ن ا ع ل ى ا ح ت ر اق ف ع ص و ا ف أ م ر ه م ب الدخ ول ث ال ثا ك ل ذ ل ك ي ع ص ون ف ل م ا د ن و ا و أ ص اب ه م ال و و ي ر ج ع ون و أ م ر أ ول ك ث ال ثا ك ل ذ ل ك ي ط يع ون و ي خ ر ج ون ف ق ال ل ه م ك ون وا ط ينا ب إ ذ ن ي ف خ ل ق م ن ه آد م So when they approached and the terror hit them, they returned and they said, O our Lord azwj! There is no patience for us upon the burning, and they disobeyed. So He azwj Commanded with the entering, thrice, during each of that they were disobeying and they were returning, and He azwj Commanded those ones thrice, during each of that they were obeying and were coming out. So He azwj Said to them (all): Be clay, by My azwj Permission! So He azwj Created Adam as from it. ق ال ف م ن ك ان م ن ه ؤ ء ي ك ون م ن ه ؤ ء و م ن ك ان م ن ه ؤ ء ي ك ون م ن ه ؤ ء و م ا ر أ ي ت م ن ن ز ق أ ص ح اب ك و خ ل ق ه م ف م م ا أ ص اب ه م م ن ل ط خ أ ص ح اب الش م ال و م ا ر أ ي ت م ن ح س ن س يم اء م ن خ ال ف ك م و و ق ار ه م ف م م ا أ ص اب ه م م ن ل ط خ أ ص ح اب ال ي م ين. He asws said: So the one who was from these would not happen to be from those, and the one who was from those would not happen to be from these, and whatever you see from the irritability of your companion and their mannerisms, so it is from what 15 out of 49

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from one of our companions, from Abu Baseer who said, I said to Abu Abdullah asws, How did they answer and they were particles?
