When the believers were told about the paradise (#ÿρßšθçρuρ tβθè=yϑ ès? óοçgψä. $yϑî/ $yδθßϑçgøoí ρé& èπ Ψyfø9$# ãνä3ù=ï? βr& األ ع راف ٤٣ And it will be cried out to them: "That is the Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do." 7 6- In the translated copies of Qur aan, the Demonstratives Pronouns for far distance are sometimes translated to English as if they were for near distance, as it is not a literal translation but only an interpretation on meaning. 7- The letter ل " " in ذ ل ك ت ل ك is called لام of distance ( لام ال ب ع د ) and not a part of the Demonstrative pronoun. 8- When we do the conjugation for the Demonstrative pronouns for far, we will consider the mark س كون for Ï9 sœ, the mark ك س ر ة for 7ù=Ï? and for y7í s9'ρé& as the letters ل and ك are only suffixes to the Demonstrative pronouns not original letters in them. ال م كان c- Demonstratives for the place There far ه ن اك / ه نال ك y79$uζèδ Here near ه ن ا / هاه نا $uζγ yδ Demonstrative of place for near distance can be اسم الا شا ةر ل ل م كا ن لل ق ر يب 9- ه نا or هاه نا with " الت ن ب يه "ها at the beginning and this last is the one that appeared in the Qur aan. 8 '' Qur'aanic Arabic WRITING RULES These Demonstrative pronouns are written in the standard Arabic without the long vowel Alif seen in the Quran script and represented by the short Alif, but we still pronounce them with aa. 7Í s9'ρé& Ï9 sœ Iωàσ yδ β x yδ νé yδ #x yδ ك ) أ ول ي ذ ل ك ه ؤ لاء ه ذ ا ن ه ذ ه ه ذ ا ) (Ulaa ika, Dhaalika, haa ulaa i, haadhaani, haadhihi, haadhaa) Also ه ذ ي ن has a long vowel Alif هاءafter and is pronounced (haadhayn) but it did not come in the Qur aan that is why it has no Qur aan script - The Small Zero ( ' إ ع ر اب أ س ماء الا شار ة ) found on the letter waaw in y7í s9' 'ρé&, means that this letter should not be pronounced at all. We notice that this waaw is also appearing in the standard Arabic أ ول ي ك and still we do not pronounce it at all. We read it ulaa ika not oolaa ika Page 148

(Plural of ) (Plural of ) ه ي ك ت ب ك تاب - - ه ذ ه ج ن ا ت ج ن ة ق ط ط ) ق ط ة (Plural of cat ص غ ير ة - This rule is applied all the time in the standard Arabic but obviously in the Quran you can see some exceptions for that rule, e.g. the nonhuman plural is treated as a feminine plural in some verses. -
